The cleaner the part the better it looks. You can braid like crap but if that part is clean it looks beautiful. Braids always look better when done with oil or gel or amix of both

Life of Yanni03 I’m thinking it’s maybe because of the middle part? So since it goes straight down she didn’t make a braid in the middle on the bottom layer in between the part instead it’s on either side (so a braid on the right and left of the middle part if that makes sense).

This is because the braids are medium size. Had they been smaller the back would have been fuller. This was most likely the clients choice.
