Yes it’s different in Phuket the girls constantly tell you their take home price. They are also pretty upfront about kids. If you compensate them they will meet you before work. Best suggestion I can share is if you’re going to a bar fine type establishment call over the mamasan and give her a tip, buy her a drink if she wants one. Then point out the girls your interested in. And ask any question you like and she will be straight forward. Narrow down your choice based on the info given then call that one over. You have already pre-qualified who will go on a bar fine, if she has kids whatever. Buy one drink just for her and ask if you pay her bar fine will she spend the night with you. Save time and money. I've lived in Pattaya for 30+ years and everything Nolan says is true. Thirty years ago most girls wanted a better life, now days it's all about how much money they can get from you in the short term. I told a lot of my work colleagues that have never been to Thailand; if you come here for a holiday, have a great time, it's a great place, but if you plan to live here full time and want to have a serious relationship with a Thai woman, better to step back and evaluate the situation with a clear mind. It's a LOT different being here on a holiday compared to living here full time. Also don't think these girls are stupid, they're street smart and have a lot of experience getting money out of guys--short term and long term, when you think you can beat them that's when the trouble starts. Thai women can be loyal, loving partners, it's just working/spending your way thru the chaff to find the right one, could be tomorrow could be years. Be advised; the water can be deep and perilous in Thailand!

its not just the bar girls. I was surrounded by thai women with sponsors. We would hang out, the girls all would talk on their phones with them. Ask for money. Money comes. Next guy calls. They sit around doing nothing all day. Those guys though are doing it with girls in multiple countries. Thai, Philippines, Columbia, Vietnam. They spend a few months at home. Then "date" the girl in that country sponsor them the rest of the year for a 2 month party while together. So its not just bar girls doing this, its all of them.

I was in Chiang Mai in March and April of this year and had a great time--spent a good deal of time in 'I'm Shy' and this other bar. I'd do my thing during the day and then wife would come join me around 5-6pm. Correct. Try to find a lady with genuine honest productive employment. They are a different breed. But they may also visit these bars with their friends and workmates. Always try to find out if they are just visiting with respectable people, or normally work there. Lets reverse this and pretend that you are a foreigner wanting to visit the USA, and all that's on the web is how to do business / conduct yourself with hookers in Las Vegas. Geez...... All this Philippines and Thailand bar girl stuff on the web is about fantasy's, not real life. Question. Was in pattaya hook up in a bar. Walking by same bar the next day grab up by another girl from same bar. Anyway walk by bar and went into another bar further down. The two girls I hook up with kinda hung around this bar and on another day the first girl brought her date into the same bar I was in..What were they up too??

Honestly, I don't understand all the negativity people have about bar girls. They are trying to make a living anyway they can. If you go to these type of bars anywhere in the world and don't think the girls are trying to make money off you anyway they can, you must be living in a bubble. Just go, enjoy and buy them a few drinks. Isn't it's why you're there in the first place? If you're there to just drink and want to be by yourself, just let them know or go to other type of bars.

It depends on where you want to get one. I made a video all about how much it cost me but essentially it was - 300k bhat for key money - 60k bhat for first month rent and damage deposit - 50k for startup liquor - 100k for renovations and supplies I will be creating a lot more content solely on starting a bar in the membership. Those videos don't work as well on youtube

18 to work in the bar, 20 to drink. They were younger than that. Many hotels will turn away 18 and 19 year olds as well if you try to take them in.

When I went a couple weeks ago I only went to those kinds of bars once just for the experience but generally as long as your decent looking and like clubbing you can get girls to come back to your place without paying a penny. Paying a bar girl who 9 times or of ten just acting and is only trying to get you to spend money isn't worth the effort or time unless that's your only option available.
