Welcome to South East Utah! I told my husband just once I'd like to go on a hike that doesn't involve a cliff. He just laughed.

Nope. Not for me. I was hurtin' just watching this. 😂 I'll let the in shape people like you do all these strenuous trails. 💪👍

Veterans also get a free pass to National Parks, they have to renew every year. We just went to Utah for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved it. Can’t wait to go back, we will mark this trail to do when we go!

I have started watching you and Dave's fitness videos while on the treadmill. I know you are not talking to me personally. But they are very encouraging. Keep it up.

Amazing! There was a time as a mom that taking the kids on hikes was torture with all the stopping for the little legs and snacks, but like you both my older kids now work me if I can get them on the trail:). I too am recovering from an injury and your videos are so inspiring!

All I know is that if Dave is panting due to the strain of the hike… I would die. LOL 😂

I love watching your family's outdoor adventures. I have done mostly mild hiking at various times in my life, but I cannot do what you guys did here. Bravo!

I just found out both my knees are toast and I have a 3rd degree tear in my meniscus. I was told knee replacement for both my knees are in my near future. I had started walking and trying to get healthier. This is a set back, but watching this video you push me to stay positive though no matter what!

That looks so tough- I wouldn’t want to try it 😅but your whole family deserves huge props. I love that it’s normal for everyone to go out and try together- incredibly positive attitudes. You and your family are amazing role models for my wants for my husband and my future family (God willing). Thank you for sharing ❤

Wow amazing. I have to live this through you, since I tripped up the basement stairs yesterday and did some serious damage to myself. The views are fantastic. Your accomplishments as a family amaze me.

I am not a hiker but I never knew about the rock stacks marking the trail! I will make sure now my family never messes them up even by accident now!
@sarahconnor647 ай бұрын
Where I live, there are colored plastic 2 inch square bits nailed to trees by the rangers to mark the trails. I didn't know about the stacks until watching her videos. ❤❤

I've learned the hard way that each National Park has it's own definition of easy, moderate, strenuous. lol! I'm afraid of heights (Angels Landing is definitely a no for me), but think the 8 miles and elevation might make this trail a no for me. But, it looks so fun!!
@NicheTravelersGuide7 ай бұрын
I love this! It has inspired me to start exploring the trails in my area this summer for my fitness journey. I'm 40 years old and have struggled with my weight my whole life. I'm excited to get moving. Thank you for sharing these kinds of videos. I would love to see a video of how you plan and pack for this kind of trip. Do you already have that kind of video?

I love this!!!! I'm so not at your level, but this video inspires me to keep hiking!!! We're going to Canyonlands in a few weeks. What is the best beginner to moderate trail at Island in the Sky or Deadhorse for hiking?
@thorntonha7 ай бұрын
It is possible to hike log distances without high carb. I did the Grand Canyon (R to R) in one day on keto and had lots of energy. I plan to hike Half Dome next week.

Oh my goodness. I didn't even know I was afraid of heights until I watched this video. It was like a thriller movie. I was anxious until you guys got back to the parking lot. 😂 P.S. My go to salt intake after strenuous activity (yard work) is a bologna sandwich with chips on it.

How do you guys handle navigation? Maps, of course, I’m sure but do you bring a GPS or compass? How did you go about learning how to use them?

AllTrails gives you the ability to download maps when you have no service. Trailforks gives a similar experience. Both are amazing apps for outdoor adventures
