I think it's important to recognize that for people with salaried jobs they aren't just going to magically make 3x their regular income in 1 month to pay those credit cards off. This is an amazing story but not super relatable to those who don't have that much control over their income.

But it is - salaried employees need to diversify their income streams. I'm a salaried manager and have 3 side hustle that take minimal time (I do a little guest speaking, I also do trade stocks and cryptocurrencies, and I also breed a few select animals as I am in farming area). All of which brings a decent side income. I'm also in the process of trying to start two small businesses. It's possible - you just have to make time for you.

I had a full time corporate job when I started my dog training side business now my full time business. I started assisting puppy classes to pay off debt and ended up loving it!

Such great points here, especially related to money mindset. In Eastern (and in Western) Europe, we don’t have this habit of having debts, because people here hate credits and prefer to pay/be paid 100% of the price. But the mindset “you have to work real hard”, “we can’t afford this”, “save money by putting it under your pillow”, is there. It took me DECADES to overcome my poor mindset. I’m really hoping I’m on the right path now 😺

Yes!!! Rewriting that Scarcity Mindset! My mind has been so wired to believe I’m broke that I thought I was broke even when I wasn’t and it then unintentionally self sabotaging to make my reality align with my thoughts... - Ive had this belief that no matter how much I’ll make I won’t have enough because then I’ll have more expenses, so I’m mindful of avoiding lifestyle inflation by focusing on what my essential income is, + a little more and that I can thrive at this point and anything more is extra and that I can obtain it and nurture it.

The average person probably won't be able to do this. Take me for example, I make $3,200 a month after taxes so I'm not able to put a lot of money towards my debts. I'm happy with my income and my job so making more money isn't important to me.

I've gotten in and out of (credit and medical) debt a couple of times. I have experienced all of those feelings you described in this video. Being broke makes you feel it. Changing how you look at money makes it enjoyable. You don't have to ball, but knowing that I don't owe anyone money or not be guilty buying something nice is a great feeling.

I love how you were worried at the end about if we liked the video 😂 I found this really interesting because I'm doing a 'No Buy' year to pay off my credit card, my debt was a smaller scale than yours so less than £1000 but it has taken me 6 months of no spending to pay it off anyway. Some great points there Cathrin. I started my channel as a bit of a joke and also a challenge. I thought like you "I can't make money out of this". Now I am making 70 pounds a month but do wonder could I make enough to replace my full time job at 50K a year. Your numbers do suggest that yes I could with the right mindset.
