@@GigiM_winx paid off mean you have no more money to pay on a bill. Usury when you buy a home you can’t afford to pay it in cash. So you have to take a loan or mortgage out( it’s a loan). Every month you pay money on it, paid off mean you paid in full. No more loan. So say you lose your job and cant pay that monthly bill for awhile. The bank can come and take your home, and you are homeless. So being able to pay off your house is a huge deal.

They didn’t love him because they thought they would get monetary reward in the future. The feeling that he wanted to give back, that he owed his success to them had to come from James himself, and that was his personal sentimental decision. Parents aren’t supposed to feel like they deserve an award for raising their child with love. A good parent would feel that their greatest reward is raising a kind, happy, independent person. Parents love their child naturally and without condition. You raise your child in hopes that they become successful so they can sustain themselves. So, a good parent would never expect any piece of their kid’s wealth, because if the love was never about financial gain, why would it be now? That’s why they declined his many offers before. It was always about loving James as their child, despite what he can or cannot give them.

uh not really...all the millennials on twitter have recently been going off about how children should not have any moral duty or obligations to their parents...and that since parents create us they have no rights to demand anything since it was their financial choice to bring us up in the world. it honestly shocked my how popular those tweets are with people in this generation because I was always taught that the reason my parents work so hard to put me in school and college and get a career is so I can help them when they are older and pay them back for everything they've done for me. but I guess the new generation doesnt see it that way lmao. ppl are literally like "its my money that i earned working hard, i dont owe my parents a dime they CHOSE to have me and i can CHOOSE not to help them" . i cant believe this is how ppl want to pay back someone who wiped their shit off everyday and let u throw up on them as babies, and literally birthed u through the most painful process. but i guess when our generation grows old they will realize how shitty they were being and the cycle will repeat, they will be old and unable to move around and do things for themselves, and their kids will send them to nursing homes to rot. this is todays America.
