Pete, now I am sure I should also start working on Fiverr. Besides my story is long, I gave up my job year ago and moved to work as a full-time freelancer Video Editor and Photographer ... All inspired by you. You might not know this, but I changed my career of 15 years .. mainly inspired by you! So Yes, it might be a good time to join Fiverr (other than this I work on Upwork). *don't know if you have time to read, but I will hook you up with my story sometime :p

He knows how much can realistically be done for those prices. Given a random ask, these are all pretty okay. Getting a good dinosaur model would likely be expensive. And then rendering it would likely also be expensive. That's impossible with the little money they're being given.

If I gave something like that to my client and charged 1200 bucks for it, I would be fired immediately. And I'm very disappointed that Peter doesn't see all the obvious mistakes (perspectives, movements, lighting). Maybe this video should be entertaining, but I personally, as an artist, find it embarrassing.

12:05 Out of all the edits, this was my favorite. The background didn't look out of place and was shaking well with the subject, and surprisingly, the UFO didn't look all that bad as well. I felt like this one was far better than the ones that charged $1000 or more

I get so frustrated when I see the results. They just key Peter and put stock footage in the background plus a dinosaur. Even when he paid me 50 dollars I would use some wiggle to make it look more realistic (handheld). And probably use some color correction. Replace the footsteps with better sounding ones. And so on. This is disappointing!

@Winston Mcgee that's the thing though. A lot of these looks like just premade effects with basic green screen editing which anyone can do. ofcourse doing the actual vfx itself would take time but i doubt most of these people did any actual vfx work of their own other than the green screen edit.

I personally would've done a funny sketch like Peter on a treadmill, when he asks Siri to put his playlist on Siri would accidentally increases the treadmills speed leading to him speeding up and then ultimately falling. Something like that seems more realistic and more fitting in general.

Green screen file is available. I'd request everyone with some knowledge of VFX / 3D modelling / rotoscoping to actually do something good, and show pete that much much better results can be produced for a fraction of this cost. I feel that he just got scammed on fiver. :/
@ShayaanAzeem
@ShayaanAzeem 4 жыл бұрын
Another One Yes that was my idea but you could also change it up and make a light blink in the background and then peter looks back but while looking back makes the treadmill faster and ends up falling down due to the speed.
