@@artofjesskarp I was alot younger, but I remember them being really chill. She liked the top of their head rubbed and would hang out on top of the windows/curtains and couch. She also would swim around in the tub for a bath. They are alot of maintenance though. I remember it used to sit on my head and it's tail would reach the ground (I was about 7 I think). Sometimes temperamental, just like with any pet, they have their own personality 🥰

Oh my gosh I’ve given little kids my sketch books to draw in before!! It’s so wholesome and it makes me want to bring that authentic childlike quality to my work... I feel like we’re taught to be so precise and then when we’re out of school we have to go back and remember the naivety of childhood

Can't believe I missed this video yesterday with notifications on... But the good thing is I wasn't having a very good day today and when I saw this, it surely turned my day to the best! Honestly, in the beginning, while you were walking through the forested place, I thought the area was underwhelming. I often have little kids that come up and want to paint when I'm out. They'll come and sit down and are ready to go. LOL. I sometimes bring extra supplies for this reason. Beautiful painting! You have a lot more patience than I do.

I love how much of the vibrant yellow remained so visible, dominant, even, by the end of the painting. I always have intentions of doing looser, more colourful plein air paintings, but always seem to get bogged down with 'being accurate'. Watching you makes me want to try harder!

I have pages in my sketchbook where my granddaughter and grandson sat in my lap drawing in my sketchbook during my last visit. They are 2 and 4. This brought back some great memories!
