Beautiful result Jess. I haven't been out to sketch/watercolor for a very long time. It's a great exercise. A viewfinder is the one tool that gets used in studio, or out for a quick study... I'm impressed with how you captured the worker rolling the cart so quickly since it was such a fleeting moment...& the gouache painting of it is fantastic! I love scenes of every day life - it's stuff we take for granted, but in the end, it's how we live each day - those "regular" moments that compose how we exist, and we're surprised when things evolve or change over the years & forget how it used to be ... ex/ the days before cell phones ... you'd have to use a pay phone or a call box if you were stuck on the road & needed help. I also adore water fountains - especially the kind you see in Europe. I remember when i was 6, during a visit, how the children used to sail little wooden toy boats on them & wanting to do that so much myself. I'd love to see a gouache painting of the fountain. TFS!

I also enjoyed watching you sketch out the 10 drawings filled with contrast, detail, the color and texture. The last drawing of the waterfall was my favorite, and maybe you could paint a mural of your adventure there with the waterfall being the main picture with you sitting in one of the seats in front of it. And with the name of the park as a logo underneath the chair and having those pictures in the background of you. Just an idea! Thank you for posting and hope to go on another date with you.
