just regular wall paint. small cans of black and yellow and larger ones of white and dark blue. the differences in shades and hues was all mixing, trial and error, really.

It's beautiful 😍😍 I am planning to do something similar. Could you please tell us about the brush sizes that would be required and the colours to paint it on the wall. Thank you
@sofiatravassos5 жыл бұрын
honestly, i went a little conservative with both brushes and colours. i pretty much stuck to the same two inch brush (like good ol' bob ross used to teach us) and this very weird, very old abou 3/4inch round one (thats the one i used more for the details). i didn't really go wild with them either, they were the cheapest ones i could find and worked wonders. regarding the colours, i just used black, white, yellow and this deep dark blue (the colour of the sky in the very beginning of the video), mixing them to make lighter or darker tones or even the greens for the landscape. i used proper wall paint, and got larger buckets of white and blue, whilst the black and the yellow were in smaller containers cause i knew i wouldnt use too much of those. also i didn't really prime the wall with any special primers or anything, just white paint to clock out the previous colour. neither did i put something over it, and, though that could mean the wall is more exposed to damage, it's honestly nothing too bad. it's been three years now and i've only got some small spots of discoloration which could just come off by lighty rubbing a damp towel on them. hope all this helped, and i fully encourage you to go for it with the wall painting :).

So cool! did you use acrylic paint?
@sofiatravassos5 жыл бұрын
i actually used regular wall paint! Blue, yellow, white and black. Mixed the colors to achieve other hues or tones and stuff.

I want to do this!! What size paint brush should I use
@sofiatravassos5 жыл бұрын
Alexa MG I really used only two sizes: a good ol’ 2-inch brush and a round, thinner one with some long bristles for detailing. I felt like it was enough, but if you feel like it you can go bigger or smaller on the sizes. There really isn’t much of a rulebook or right way to go about it; just go with the flow and it should look great.

wait it took you a day to do this ? im planning on painting starry night on my wall, how long does it take
@sofiatravassos6 жыл бұрын
it took a day to paint the actual colours in, yes. in total it took about three though: it was a red wall before, so i needed an entire day to paint it white (multiple layers), and then i actually spent another day making a grid so that i could transfer the drawing i'd made on paper to the wall and keep the proportions right (it took me a whole day because im dumb and made the grid way too small - plus it was quite a challenge to get the lines straight in such a large wall) -- after all that, it took me about half an hour to sketch in the lines and then, the next day, i started filming.
