For as much as people say they have social anxiety on here they sure don’t understand shyness at all. I don’t know about Charli but I have social anxiety to the extreme and this is exactly how I talk to someone I don’t know very well. A lot of “yeahs” and “for sure.” Your mind goes blank and all you can think is “don’t sound stupid...say something..no don’t say that, that’s stupid” then you just don’t say anything except “mhmm”

Molly amazes me. She's blind, but she just... does things. Like she doesn't even stop herself and think "This is going to be too hard for me", no she just does it like nothing can stop her. kind of annoyed at these comments tearing into charli, yes she comes across as a little bit shy, but shes also super polite and and a good sport about trying on everything. molly has been on youtube for years, she's used to talking to the camera, where as most of charlis content is her dancing. molly wasn't this charismatic and sure of herself when she started on youtube, it was a skill she developed over the years. if charli is still making content in 10 years she'll probably be a lot more confident then too

The thing is ppl are comparing a 26 year old who’s been publicly speaking for about a decade (if not more), who makes youtube videos for a living and who’s not afraid to be out there to a shy teenager who makes tiktok videos and is starting to get out of her comfort zone So yes Molly’s gonna talk more and be more confident and relaxed in front of the camera! That’s normal and expected! But we shouldn’t compare the two because they’re two different people with different life experiences

It just goes to show that Charli is super nervous and shy and she knows that this is Molly’s video for her channel so she is letting Molly take the lead and do the speaking. @@hesteroverton6085 I don't really agree with that, tbh. You don't need to be an extrovert if you're disabled! Lol. You're either born that way or not. A lot of people who become disabled lose their confidence. I'm an ex elite athlete and professional show performer who now has disabilities due to chronic illnesses. I would say I'm way less extroverted now than I was. A lot of my friends with disabilities are less confident now too. That's not to say that there aren't lots of outgoing people in the community though, of course! Molly has been public speaking since she was quite young, so she's comfortable talking on camera now.

Agree with all of this! Given that Charlie hasn't been taking quarantine or social distancing seriously it makes me really uneasy that they weren't wearing masks. Also it was almost painful with how quiet and shy Charlie was. I get shes new to KZbin but it would have been more fun to watch with another person who is as enthusiastic as molly x

Don't feel bad if you're not like Molly. Social anxiety is really rough and Molly doesn't have it, so it's easy for her to be bubbly, etc. That's her personality. We are all different, and being reserved isn't any worse than being extroverted...it's just different. I have had social anxiety my whole life. I'm older than you probably, and let me tell you what I have learned...don't compare yourself to extroverts because you are not like them! It will make you miserable to try to force yourself to be something you aren't. You are perfect the way you are. Love yourself for who you are and never compare yourself to others. Trying to mold yourself to be different than you are is an exercise in futility. Just be you and your confidence will naturally grow. The world needs both introverts and extroverts. Social anxiety truly sucks like crazy, but the good news is that it gets better when you get older. ❤️

That does happen, my dad has a blind friend and he does talk about how he doesn't take a visual cues and on top of being blind he also not from the us he was originally from Taiwan and so there are times where he doesn't pick up on other people being uncomfortable as much or their reactions unless its verbally said and so when someone is super quiet/shy, its really hard to kind of navigate the vibe of the situation. I find blind people tend to talk a lot, because there really are not comfortable silences in conversations as much etc, when there is a dip in conversation its just quiet and when its two sighted people you might not notice as much because you still have facial expressions and other visual elements that engage you with someone, you go in and out of conversation more organically, but at least for the few blind people I know, they say they feel more of a pressure to fill the silence and even kind to almost "interrupt", like my dads friend will more verbally show he is listening by saying just samll things even if its just like "yeah...yeah......hmmmm, uh hun" because with sighted people you can more visually see someone is engaged and show you are engaged, blind people tend to need more verbal interaction to get the feeling you are actively listening
