I love it that you helped this total stranger out when he probably needed it the most. A person may never realize how much someone may need help when they actually come up to a stranger who is shopping in a store which sells building supplies. I imagine that a person would swallow their pride when something is needed maybe to buy food or even milk for a baby. I love that you were able to give the gentleman some work, Lester you are a treasure to always find a way to help others. Getting Rita to give personal space will take a bit of time and repetition. A suggestion is pressure and release. I am sure Rick and Kourtney could explain it at length. She's always going to give you a run for your money because she's smart and learns quickly, both the negative and positive. For example, I always had my horse step back from me for feeding and asked then to wait before eating, but then also giving them space during feed. Wait and reward is your feed and some space to eat that feed. That is just one step you can take.

Lester, I just remembered that when I injured my knee, I had physical therapy and it fixed it. It was bad for about 18 months and the doctor recommended physical therapy. I thought I would need surgery. I was amazed that it worked. It has been a few years and it is still good, or as good as a knee is then you are 67 and overweight. I twisted it for the original injury.

I just got done helping out at the soup kitchen here where I live here in cold Canada. Lol yes we got so snow here now and it OK lol. But like I was saying. I was homeless at one time in my life and it was hard but I made it. Because right now am in a nice home with my recuse pitbull cross. And for me I thought to pay it forward to the people that used to soup kitchen and let them know that there is a way and a chance for them to get out of the problem that they are in.
