Just started watching you. On June 3rd 2020 at 3:30 am I had deer pop out of the weeds an I hit it doing 40 mph. I broke a hip and cracked a rip plus many broozes. Had a hip replacement surgery and by August 3rd I was test riding 2020 Harley-Davidson touring models. My 2016 Street Glide Special was not back to me til mid October. I stripe all badging from everything I own. It's an old habit from my street racing days when I was a young man. I swapped out the 340 in my 1970 Plymouth Duster for a 440 monster motor with three stages of nitrous. One kit was hidden and plumbed through the transmission tunnel directly into the intake valley with direct injection to each cylinder. Don't let them know what you have until they ask you after being left in the dust.:)

Hi Robert Thank you for your service as a law enforcement officer. I spent 24 years driving tractor trailers in the five boroughs it’s rough there so glad you made it out to live the good life. I’m still in Jersey. There are companies on the web that make custom derby covers. I had the dealer change my slip ons to cobra NH they said if wouldn’t affect the warranty louder than the screaming eagle slip ons. Wish I lived closer love to do the slow speed course. You don’t need to make them do push-ups they grab the front brake or put your foot down in a turn and they will learn real quick.

First time viewer and much respect for your service and experience. Seriously, after the break-in period you will only feel it if you break the speed limit but it's nothing but a whole lotta fun. Got the Pro Street Tuner and Smart Auto Tune with a Big Bore Kit. Good tuning & exhaust makes all the difference on these builds. Coming out of corners and giving it throttle is a blast. Give it throttle on the interstate and you will hit the 110mph governor in milliseconds. After the warranty, going with like a Thundermax tuner and the right exhaust setup will be mind boggling and overrides the governor. D-n-D exhaust is best for performance from my research or V&H power duals with stock factory pipes (no kidding). The correct backpressure is required for the M8. Ride Safe.

Thanks man! That’s incredible information to have. I appreciate it!

@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle If you are looking for insane power, Moonshine Harley out of Franklin, TN will configure a build for you based on your riding preferences. They have their own KZbin channel with different videos about it and they offer a warranty but you have to take it to their shop for work/repair. From what I have gathered, putting in different 3rd party parts is hit or miss and/or can lead to expensive repairs down the road. Taking it to a very reputable speed shop is the best way if going 3rd party parts. Kevin Baxter from Winder, GA is a good one plus he also does Harley factory warranty work and has his own KZbin channel. The Harley Davidson big bore kits are good in their own way, a few say they had issues. I put 7,000 miles on my 128 big bore from the beaches to the mid west to the mountains and it's doing great. Only reason I went with all Harley parts is it is covered under my Warranty and Extended Service Plan, any issues, I pay a $50 deductible and they fix it. (I have had to use it and it worked out great). A lot of folks I know in HOG chapters get over 100,000 miles out of their touring bikes with the most modification being a Stage 1 usually. A fellow rider just put 77,000 miles on his 2018 CVO stock (no stage kit) on it's 3rd year with no issues so far. He has gone all over the country and Canada on that bike. If you want a fast touring bike, the Indian Challenger is fast due to it's engine design of DOHC & liquid cooling. If they get different stage kits, then it could be really fast but after test riding, it just felt poor quality to me. If you want a touring bike that stupid fast with all the bells and whistles and without any modifications, I would recommend the BMW K 1600 GT. Built for Autobahn speeds of 150+, great in the twisties, smooth but not like a V-Twin at all. I have known folks to buy them and turn around after a few years and go back to Harley. The comments were always it is a great motorcycle but not the feeling of a Harley and where can you actually ride at 150+ here in America without risking getting your license suspended. Let us not forget the Gold Wing. It's still a great bike but not a V-Twin.

You might want to check if you have an extended warranty with the CVO as I got one with mine out of the box, I got a letter after one year for this. Also make certain you have tune with DynaJet as this is a major power/torque gain but also enables setup of the accelerator for best inputs. I got better gains with the CVO stock Screaming Eagles then a friend who added Jeykel and Hyde mufflers.

I had a Stage 2 torque cam installed in my 107 shortly after I purchased her. I did pick up some more off the line pull, but I was most impressed by the smoother throttle response that I believe came from the Harley tuner. Much less jerky at low speeds. I went with Vance and Hines Dual Slash slip ones- loud enough. The 122 set up is barrels and pistons with the torque cam I think. It would give 119 for the 107. Spent enough for now!

I think get your own 122 custom plate. I also just saw you have yourself a bully to. M109R. Had one myself. Bought the first one in this area. 2006 brand new in February 2006. Kept it until 2012, then went to the street glide. Got older needed more comfort.

I put a Vance & Hines X Pipe, with D&D Fat Cat Exaust. Did the SE race tuner, Big Sucker A/F and a Dyno Tuned. .....And, believe me.......I couldn't be happier with the sound & performance. This was in 2015. My bike is now in the shop having cams put in. Then another Dyno tune, and I should be in business! Good looking bike btw. Do yourself a favor and get the settup that I have. I haven't heard a better sounding exhaust. NOT too loud. But a nice growl! I stumbled on the X pipe. But it worked out. Cause I WANTED a full D&D settup, but the header was out of stock. Lucky me!!!!😂😂😂😂

I just subscribed and I look forward to watch all your videos. I was wondering what kind of solo seat you have and also what size rims do you have on your bike. Hope you will get back to me. I'm very grateful for your great advise, its a really big help.

Hey Rob what's up brother? Thanks for watching and subscribing! Also, thank you for the compliments! Funny you should ask what kind of seat I have. My new seat came in and I will be releasing a video on the unboxing and installation of it this week. The rims that are on the bike are stock rims. You being an ex motor officer I have 2 questions...First. While waiting at a stop light to turn green do you keep your bike in gear? Personally I do. Second. As the saying goes "loud pipes saves lives." Do you agree with that? Personally I think it helps. Some pipes are obnoxiously loud. I replaced my stock pipes with screaming eagles but still wasn't happy. Wood Jr. turned me on to Reinhart pipes. They are awesome and made in America. Thank you for your service.
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle4 жыл бұрын
Hey Scott. First, yes the bike stays in gear with the rear brake covered. I cover this in my video “The Basic Fundamentals Of Slow Motorcycle Riding”. Check it out when you get a chance. 👍🏾 Seconds yes I agree 100%, but not obnoxiously loud.

First let me say thank you. Thank you for your service and thank you for helping riders become better with slow speed maneuvers. I'm in Massachusetts but would love to attend one of your classes. Btw.. beautiful bike.. any thoughts on changing your suspension. My 2018 RGS stage 3 is a magnificent machine.. but honestly changing the suspension was a huge difference.. much more so than the stage 3.

Hey Todd. My pleasure and thank you for watching and subscribing! Thank you for the compliments. Funny you should mention the suspension. Yes that’s in my bikes future. In fact, your mention of this is probably going to expedite it. Which brand did you go with?

@@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle i went with the Legend Revo Arc. I mounted my reservoirs under the tail. Easy access but not flashy. I think it truly has changed how well it not only handles bumps but leaning responsiveness as well. Someday the front end will get replaced. Honestly an area Harley falls way behind on. Maybe I'll take a couple of days to go back and visit Ground Zero, haven't been back since. If I do I need to make sure your training.

For your lights issue, is it possible they swapped the connectors for your latch light and the sequential bag light when they put the saddle bag back on? I don’t know if CD uses the same connectors for both those products. If that isn’t the issue, maybe just requires re-calibrating the can-bus for your light setup by running the hazards for 20-30 seconds. Just something to try.
@BeTheBossOfYourMotorcycle4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Don. I’m going to go try that now.

I did the 122 kit and have about 700 miles on it. You will NOT be disappointed! I did a cam on my last bike (2019 SGS) and decided to do the Gen 2 Stage III on my 2020 RGS. Prepare to smile every time you ride! For the derby cover, I just did a gloss black H-D Motor Company which looks good. I did get the 122 and stage 3 badges though. Enjoy!

I’d be interested in seeing a video about the Stage 3 122 ci upgrade . Because the kit is prettying new, I’m not seeing much information about it and I’m considering it for my Ultra Limited. It’d be nice to hear your complete review, because I also enjoy riding the cones and was curious how the kit performed in that application.

Hey Jason! I’ll be doing another review on the Stage 3 after my break-in period is over. It hasn’t negatively affected my slow riding at all. It does sound better on the cone course though. 😊

Of course they will. Everything that the remove is worth something because it’s not like it’s being removed because something was wrong with it. You’re just upgrading it. Unbelievable that they would make you feel like you were doing something wrong by asking for YOUR PROPERTY.

MR. Robert, man is that a gorgeous bike you have! I have a 2017 Road Glide Special, its my first Harley! I enjoy taking long trips. My goal is to see the USA from behind bars.. : ) I live on the coast of Alabama. Me and "The Beast" have been far south as Key West and far north as Yellowstone Nat Park in Wyoming. Anyways, I see you boosted your Hp by adding a Stage 3 kit. If you look at a Dyno Chart of your 117 stock vs just adding a cam to the 117, you would have probably pulled more HP and Tourque from adding just a cam (and way cheaper), than spending so much $ on a stage 3 kit. A good cam Cost about 4 to $600 with way better results. Because all those kits Harley sells are still restricted by tight EPA bullshit. Just some food for thought. : )
