I absolutely love that app and use it for solo play. Sure it’s predictable at times, and can be glitchy with its behavior (until you figure out how it likes to work). It’s certainly better than not playing HeroQuest when playing alone.

anonymous source is saying they were considering an "Upgrade Kit" to ease the transition between First Light and GS owners. maybe there could be an a la carte option similar to what Renegade Game Studios does on their page with their games (see Axis & Allies, HeroScape). Actually Betrayal had an upgrade kit and I've seen it at FLGS AND Barnes & Noble on the shelf.

You can start with FL no problem- that's what they'd like, for it to be a suitable first time experience. Lorewise we will see callbacks to the Game system, so you can kind of think of the two campaigns running concurrently

wasn't the EU begun in 1993? I guess you could say that was at the tail end of HQ (that was the year Estrella released the Brazilian edition in portugese using the same rules as the US). some history buffs can correct me...

in my opinion, I think the possibility is technically there, but I don't think AH will make HQ more than 2-5 players (one being Zargon), so I'm willing to bet it won't support more.

just putting this out there, i really wish this was physical, not digital. I especially dont like that fact that its on a phone. Im interested in tabletop stuff specifically to get away from technology for a while. Love the other videos tho

Ahh, I should clarify! First Light is a physical product with its own questbook, and HeroQuest is a 100% physical game, no app required at all (unless you truly want to play solo (or as a group without an evil wizard player) and let the app DM for you, which there are also a few homebrew alternatives to help with that without using an app). This is an optional thing and the quests happened to be made available ahead of release of the game expansion.
