They used to have monthly builds with the shitty wooden kits to encourage kids to learn about hardware but my dad and I would get the free kits and build the most messed up abominations known to man and enter them in the contests

Hey Poofesure, if you're wondering why they're getting free items, it's because they have their favorite tools. If you want to get a free tool as Phil for example: You have to click on "Closer Look" and get a free tool by pressing Z and point and press A at an interactable object. After you got it, when do it again, there might be luck where you get a lot of screws/money or less screws/money Also you can only do it once if you do the other one there will be nothing.
