In this medley I wanted to tell a "Musical Story." We start off with Batikan Iscan's "Arrival of the Hero", with a warlike entrance. Then we flashback to when the hero was just an orphan, with "Awakening." The kid grows up and loses his innocence in Spike's epic piece, "Lycoris Radiata." We explore the butterflies of the heart with Rafael M's poignant piece, "Tingin", and then we visit a winter wonderland, painted by Rron Delos Santos's "Winter Fantasy." This is closely followed by Michael Shen's gorgeous "A Gentle Zephyr" which reminds us of the struggles of life. Next, Jess B's "Vindicta" tells the story of a deadly murder, followed by R.M. Rizal's majestic "Kintab" representing the infinity of the stars and the cosmos. The night becomes day and now we sit daydreaming about the "Clouds" written by Noah Hughes. Next we explore the heartbreaking loss of a loved with Kilian Davies's tragic "Before It's Too Late." Then we have Zulaski Kaitzo's aggressive double header "The Window" and "Am Anfang" which tells the dark story of a boy going through a troubled relationship with his mother. Things take a turn for the better with Sherif Karama's "El Aela" which shows fully the love of a family. Then, Rizal's piece "Le Melange" shows us the contrasting personalities of his classmates, and then finally we finish with Jess B's piece "The Arched Window" which allows us to look back and forwards into time and see our own stories from start to finish.

The Crowd Cheered as the "Arrival Of The Hero" ceremony had started. I sensed an "Awakening" in him, even though he was smiling and wearing the most treasured flower, the "Lycoris Radiata", I knew something was "tingin" as if something was tingling... It was a "Winter Fantasy" as children running around shouting 'Snow! It's Snow! "The Gentle Zephyr" breeze was very calming to everyone as if it were hypnotising them. I keep sensing that the Hero has a "Vindicta" Feeling, surging in his blood. it was like trying to clean out, to "kintab" to actually see a definition of the real feeling. Suddenly, huge dark "Clouds" hibernated above us and planned to stay there. The crowd started to make their way indoors. Until it was me and Him... He was indeed looking for revenge, I thought he was a good person until now! He sought it on the people in the city. I had to flee "Before it was too late", He I am talking about is the hero who everyone thought he was our saviour, but he will never be our saviour... Not Today, Not Tomorrow. All the children and parents looked out "The Window" but not dared to come out... He kept muttering "Am Afang" over and over again, This meant 'beginning'. I thought to myself 'Is he trying to be evil or not, it is just a mystery!?' '"El Aela" is blocking him from being good!' Out of my thoughts The hero has all of the powers you can think of (Time travelling, Super Strength, Mind Control, Telekinesis, Flight, Summoning minions, yes even making what ever you want from your mind (Even if it is Potato Chips!)) Using his mind he constructed a glistening sword out of just atoms in the air, I was amazed at this sight and I actually forgot that I am probably going to die!.. He lunged at me menacingly! and missed me by a heartbeat. I finally understood, this scenario was a "Le Melange de Deux", two thought merging into one bring causing chaos! I knew I couldn't survive long so my only choice was to confront him and tell him that this is not what it seems! This means I am probably going to die... Ok, Lets Do It! For some reason he stopped his madness as he saw me approach him, it was a now or never moment to confront him and comfort him. I put both of my hands on his shoulders and surrendered any feeling against him. I thought of him wrong... He will be a hero, he will be there for us as I am here for him... His breathing slowed down and he retired to the floor. I knelt down to see his face, an erupting volcano of tears came out and exploded on the floor. He smiled at me and gave me a tight hug! I was so happy at this sight and squeezed him hard (Maybe a bit too hard)! The whole city came out of their doors and congratulated me and really thanked me for stopping a huge mass of destruction! I went inside feeling like a hero! and I looked out "The Arched Window" and smiled! :)

I love how "Arrival of a Hero" really paints a vivid picture of a hero from the shadows, arriving when the masses needed him/her the most. I can really see this piece being part of a movie soundtrack. Its bold notes and heavy-handed staccato strikes a similarity with the hero's bravery and courage, yet the somber mood of the arpeggios still shows that the hero has kindness in his heart. The ending is also perfect, it sounds so spacy, almost as if our hero was riding off into the sunset after saving the day.

Honestly to this day arrival of the hero is still my favorite at least from what I've seen. None of the pieces are even close to being average though, they are all far above average with even the lower rated ones being able to be considered a masterpiece. These pieces are (in my opinion) some of the best pieces you're going to see. Not just because they sound good, but for the reason of nearly every single note representing something that paints the greater picture of what the song means. Almost every single note is special in its own unique way not because it sounds different, but because it *feels* different and is played with genuine raw passion that you just can't artificially make, all of these pieces are genuine pieces that have some genuine meaning behind them.
