To dodge those early missiles. You pull a hard turn like you were to get the missile to follow you, then you roll the plane the other way. Basically the turn will look like an "S" to dodge the missile! Doesnt always work, but if you dont have flares its worth a try!

the hits on the last LIM clip were probably the smaller NR 23s, the 23mm guns. They usually just spark a bit and dont do that much. The hits from the 37 would be bigger and would definitly at least critically demage the enemy :D

24:20 What did you mean by "OK ping"? If you're referring to the missile not actually hitting you but still blowing up and killing you, that is because almost all air-to-air missiles have a proximity fuze. Which means they don't have to directly hit you, they just have to get within a few meters. 24:42 "How do I dodge that" well I'm pretty sure that's an aim 9 b, which is only a 10g missile, so they should be pretty easy to dodge, but personally I haven't played that specific jet you're in, so I don't know how well it turns, but basically you need to turn in to the ground, into the turning circle of the missile. You want to make it bleed all of it's speed and/or turn harder than it (which isn't all that difficult (depending on the plane you're in) against an aim 9 b) As well as keep your speed. So do not pull up or sideways unless you really need to (such as if you're gonna ram into the ground). And you should be able to keep your speed (because you're going down), so you should be able to evade the missile. 26:21 I notice that you're using HEAT. Not sure what vehicle that is specifically, but I'm pretty sure it's not one of the chode panzer 4s or 3s, looking at the x ray at the bottom left, because it has a long barrel. This means you should be able to use APHE instead of HEAT, which is WAY better (for most situations). HEAT might have more pen, however it has worse drop, worse velocity, and worse damage compared to something like APHE (and it blows up on bushes and fences and stuff). APHE penetrates the target and then explodes inside, making it devastating compared to HEAT. I'd say you should use APHE, learn where the weak spots on tanks you'll be facing at that BR are, and then one shot all of em with APHE because it's way better most of the time. A couple things that are good about heat, though, are that you can overpressure open top tanks, and that it's pen does not drop off at range. 29:55 The reason why you lost this engagement is because one: you are using APCR, which is similar to HEAT in that it has more pen, but is still wayyyy worse because it has poor post-pen damage. And two, because you kept shooting the one spot where you can't reliably pen that tank. If you were using APHE you could reliable one shot him if you shoot the hull, and even shooting the mantlet like you were would lead to a one shot or at least a disabling shot if it pens (which with the puma, it just might). 30:25 It didn't let you shoot because that person shot your loader with their .50 cal while you were reloading, which reset your reload. 30:33 That enemy is marked on your map because he is in your spawn, you could have spotted him earlier if you had checked that. Also you were just shooting the wrong spots, again, but good on you for using APHE at least :) 31:23 that shot didn't get him because you shot his track with HEAT which provides a lot of spaced armor for him (HEAT is very vulnerable to that) and he is heavily angled. Never shoot something that is heavily angled unless you know it's got 0 armor (which a kv 1 definitely does not). If you'd shot the barrel or breech there, you could have disabled him. 31:28 The problem there is that you used APCR, again. Which, again, has poor post-pen damage. If you'd used APHE, you would have got him. APCR's poor post-pen damage is magnified even more when you're shooting something that has no armor, because the armor itself becomes shrapnel which means you spall more. So if you shoot something with almost no armor, you do basically 0 spall. 31:42 again, heavily angled target. If you're using the anti concrete shells or the HE shells, you could aim for his turret and the splash damage would pen his hull roof and overpressure him. If you hit the heavily angled front plate of a sherman with any shell that can shoot, it will do nothing. 32:34 Didn't kill everyone because everyone on that side of the turret was already dead, if you look at the x-ray when you shoot him. His breech blocked the spall you needed to kill the gunner on your left. 33:00 he would have shot through that wall from third person and then drove away. That'd be my guess. Ah, no, after watching just past that, he shot you from around that corner, reversed away, reloaded, pushed back out, shot you, and then reversed away again. That's the best thing he can do in that situation, especially since there's multiple of you there. 34:35 That is NOT a heavy tank. no elaboration needed. 35:25 Alright so I can't really be fucked writing a counter for everything you said there, but I'm just gonna say some stuff I guess, might miss a few things from what you said. Anyways, most of the time it's just because you lack experience for ground. You can learn from your failures in ground rb just like you can in air rb, that's what the kill cam and damage cam thing (what you see at the top right when you shoot someone) is for. You can see where you hit them, what it did, where their crew members are, where you need to shoot next, etc. And when you get killed, you can see where they penned you, which can give you an idea of what parts of your tank you need to angle or hide etc. Got sniped from across the map? You were way too far in the open. Can't pen a tank? Well, if you're playing germany, you almost definitely can, you're just shooting the wrong spot. Your shell didn't do anything? You're shooting HEAT and APCR, of course it's not going to do anything. "They saw you first"????? that's literally just a skill and experience issue? Not sure what you're complaining about there. Of course, there are times where there's literally just nothing you can do. Sometimes your shell (even if you're using APHE) will just do nothing, or not even register the hit and go right through em. Sometimes you're being spawn camped and there's just too many of them (but you can always just look at the map before you spawn, see what's there and choose what tank to bring accordingly, or just not spawn. Yeah the map design is pretty shit sometimes. Also I respect your resolve to grind to rank 3 or 4 in germany instead of just giving up like a lot of people would after playing with the wrong ammo types. 37:55 lmao wtf?? never happened to me in my 1.5k hours that's funny af 39:06 lmaoo?? Anyways, good video man, have fun with actually good jets (fuck 7.0 jets tbh) and I hope you get better at ground so it can actually be fun for you.

Great video, I've been playing the game for like 4 years mostly ground rb but I really suck at flying airplanes. I've been trying a lot but I just find it really frustrating to fly around for like 10min and instantly die because of some stupid mistake:) Edit: I just played two games in the 109G-6 and it probably made me quit the game for the rest of the week

Climb at 20 degrees and remember, in the g6 your goal is to gain altitude then dive and push people down. If they try turning around you when you dive on them, pull up hard and stall out above them.

From what I can tell, your issue in ground battles is that you're just always using the highest penetration shells without realizing what they do. When you were using the puma, you were using APCR shells, also known as the worst shells in the game. They really only work if you know where the primary ammo rack is and can hit it. At the ranks you're at, stick to APCBC or APBC shells for really armored tanks, and HEAT for light and SPAA

So for half of you tank low lights you are using just apcr you should be mostly using aphe and have a few rounds of he and apcr for open tops and hard targets respectively. But if you can get into it with aphe you should use aphe Edit For some tanks with very big guns like the kv-2 you only need he(or the ac round) because you can overpressure people

Look at the armour values of common heavy or strong medium around your battle rating, check the roof plates and top of the hull plates, if they're thin, even less derpy/avg HE shells can blow through. (So hit like the low part of the copula, something to trigger the fuze) They're tricky shots yeah but I still bring a couple HE (and HESH when possible) shells in most of my tanks. Lotta fun to also blow up fast squishy bois with a pretty bad shot. Most advised for heavies that don't have top mounted MG, only coaxial MG with a slow af turret rotation. HE, they're gone. (Or when your gun depression doesn't go down enough and they taunt you, hit the wall close to them, sometimes it's strong enough to just kill them)

It’s weird how when you get into the higher tiers the player base gets better both in gameplay and sportsmanship. Literally 95% of the time if you exit a dogfight the other player will break off as well. Or if I’m in my bomber and I take heavy damage, I’ll head back to base and sometimes even have an enemy escort to friendly territory. I love dis game

Bro, if you ever grind the Soviet tree, get the su 11 premium, it’s not as op as it used to be, they reduced the ammo and put the br higher, but you can easily grind 40,000 research points if you get a 7 kill game, a 1kill game that you last the entire duration of the match and win will get you 10,000 rp. Absolutely love it. Got to the mig 21 in 3 days of casual grinding after work.

What's funny is that many of these maps are 1:1 recreations, and most based on real places. And yeah, some tanks have a LOT of armor. It boils down to your understanding of the opponent's tank, what shells to use- and knowing not to go face-to-face with a stug. But yeah, it's a buggy mess sometimes too. Overall though, I enjoyed this vid man- subbin'.

I can’t help but notice that at least from the thumbnail,video ends at the CL13… one of the most ridiculously over tiered aircraft in the game. You get no countermeasures, no missiles, no radar, no afterburner, and at 9.0 or 9.3, you regularly face jets with all three of those advantages. It’s like running straight into a fucking brick wall that happens to be in a minefield. There is no more fun to be had unless you stick to custom battles, change nations, or buy a premium.

I'm loving your content and its scary how well you've absorbed war thunder information... try not to get too much into the toxicity of it though and keep playing what you enjoy. don't keep playing jets as missile-bait if it frustrates you, switch it up every other game. tips for ground rb... other than learning shell types, at least learn weakpoints on tanks that are difficult to knock out, or where ammo is stored. ground sucks because you really need to know the maps, and you can't learn them without playing them, thus ensuring suffering... plus low tier germany doesn't have a lot of variety to change up how you can play. cheers though, keep up the great work!

I got a tip for you, when landing when you are under 100kph, I'd say around 90kph at best use your rudder, it can help slightly plus if you are confident those wheels ain't gonna snap you can hard turn with the rudder to force the plane into a quicker stop

i've played several days of sim battles (in terms of actual in game time) with the ju 288c and grinded almost the entire german air tech tree. I found that once you are going for rank 6 planes that the ju 288c loses its great grind because it only has bonuses up to one rank higher than itself. Though I have had sim games where i achieved 100-200k rp and 1 mil sl so it really didnt take long.

do you have a vid on your keybinds, mouse settings and how you combine the two? just getting into the game and i fly with WSAD but use mouse for small corrections and shooting, but its wonky, when i roll and turn with WSAD i need to align the mouse or it gets shaky etc, Any tips?

The KZbinr DEFYN has an amazing video on his controls and how to play with them, which I basically just copy pasted into my own gameplay: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h33alIZ-ireHqpo Other than that, make sure you hold your look around key and make sure the little circle is outside of your field of view. This makes the plane only respond to keyboard rather than a mix of keyboard and mouse. Aside from that, mess around in test flights and play alot getting used to them. Hope this helps :)

@@freezedvegetal ah thanks, so holding the look around key is it then, i have it on "C" but thats not ideal for right aileron so i ll bind it to mouse side button, using MMO mouse with 12 side keys so that should fix it, thanks!

sadly that br range in jets is just shit because of the premiums with busted ass missiles but I would recommend dropping throttle when a missile comes at you it helps you dodge missiles a bit easier

I started with Sweden and got jets kind of recently, the tec tree is alright although I mostly played air arcade because I had just started playing and wasn’t sure what I was doing. Some of the tanks are fun to take to high brs like the 150 mm with 5kg of tnt which can blow and tank up of you shoot in the right place. Love to see a video/ clip on that
