the realism is off the carts in this game. One of the teams plays in a Stadium with an all dirt infield. By the 4th inning the dirt is covered in pock marks from the baseball bouncing on it and from the cleats digging it up.

The dev team's other game, Powerful Pro Spirits (aka Power Pros in the West), has the exact same game engine (pitching, fielding, hitting, running, [meaning wind speed and weather will affect gameplay]) but with super-deformed, cute characters - is an eSports event for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. Definetly one of Konami's major projects.

From what I remember when I played this game, L1 and R1 control the baserunners speed by tapping them simultaneously, hence the reason they were running so slow. Holding triangle will advance all runners (Works with how L1 does in MLB The Show), and then square controls the individual runners. How it works is hold the direction to what base you want the runner to run to. So for example, if someone is on third or running towards third, you hold the analog stick down and hold down square, resulting in him to run to home. If someone was at first you would hold the analog up and hold square to run there. You can see if this is working by looking at the little diamond in the bottom left corner, with arrows going around the bags of who you are moving. Another tip which I like is the fact you can pitch from the stretch whenever you want, by clicking L2 and selecting the bottom option when you pitch. You can also select it in the settings for everyone to pitch from stretch to speed up the games.

RBI is still the best we play it every day but we add rules to make it fun. No throwing the pitchers with crazy speed like 159mph not allowed in our games and 2 pickoffs per runner

There's two versions of "Road to the Show" in this game. One involves a player starting out on the development side for an NPB team of your choosing The other....involves starting out in high school with the goal of making it to the Koshien Tournament, then getting drafted by an NPB side. I would love to see Kevin tackle the latter just because of how it's presented.

Ok, I play this game and gotta tell you some tips. 1st, Do the tutorial or New to Pro Spirits mode and the game will give a further explanation and the controls of the game in JAPANESE. Not english. I'd suggest you to translate it. I am a controller player so I will just explain the controls in PS4. Circle to throw to 1st base as a defensive. Circle to do a shot that goes to the way your aiming. In translation of Japanese, It basically pushing shot. Pressing the X button Throws the ball to Home base as a defensive. X button to start throwing as a Pitcher. X to do the pulling shot. Then Square button to throw to 3rd base. Triangle to throw to 2nd Base. If you decide to do the Star Player/career mode where you control one player. The controls are opposite. R1 to change power control. Now for the runners where you got confused. To control a group. Triangle to move foward. Circle to go back. These are the simple controls. To get advanced, point your Left Control Mouse thingy to which base you want your runner to run to. Then press Square to run. X to run back. Playing on PS4 or controller makes things hella easier so I suggest you to do that. Hope this comment helps.

If you are in Career/ Star player mode then X to dive, Triangle to jump. Circle to catch the ball underneath you while running. Square does the same thing as Circle.
