I am very disappointed that you didn't even give Ghosts a proper ranking and instead joined the hate wagon that has been brewing for that past 10 years. While yes I do agree that Ghosts has many issues it's campaign was very good at displaying that sense of brotherhood and at the end of the day I thought It was just a damn good futuristic war story

I'm sorry, but you can't do a game about brotherhood and family while your main protagonist is completely silent. There's zero worldbuilding in that game and the story is full of plot holes and just terrible writing. Ghosts isn't a hidden gem, it had a generic poor story, terrible multiplayer, and just felt uninspired. I mean, the bad guys are just called "The Federation" and there's not even an explanation with how they were able to unite all of South America under one banner.

Why would I care about the character I’m playing as if he doesn’t utter a single word the whole campaign. Also the characters are extremely boring hesh is ok but merrick and Keegan are just a dumb down version of ghost and soap from the MW franchise. Also had an ending that wasn’t deserved in any way and rorke isn’t remotely close to one of the best villains in cod history.

Idk I think u missed the great character story of iw. A truly great question is asked “is it you job as captain to protect your soldiers and bring them home or complete the mission no matter the cost.” That was a great arch for Reyes to go on and imo the best character arch in the entire call of duty franchise

A good thing for those that weren't there upon their release to remember is the state of gaming when these arrived. It's human nature to evaluate 1 + 2 and more on a scale that includes everything since and the whole of GAMING since but in their eras the releases of Medal of Honor and the first 2 CoD's were titanic and supremely entertaining in ways that few games had ever been up to that point. I found this video after just recently completing the campaigns for the newest installments (I-III) and being fairly baffled by the tonnage of negativity about them when poking around online. The consensus seems wholly dismissive and hostile and internet dogpiling at its worst. It's too easy to take for granted what these games deliver and the quality that has been invested in them. That doesn't mean the series is above criticism (imo the original MW2 was misguided and put me off the series for a long time) but I found the arc of the new I-III well made and fun to play.

Ghosts will forever be a high A tier campaign for me and I will always laugh at people that put it lower than bo3, mw2 2022, mw3 2023 and Cold War but hey opinions will forever be opinions.
