I have played as a medic. Carry some morphine epi-pen and Saline.even many heat pack and rainjacket .saved about 3-4 persons with Bandages and heat pack. Be killed later cuz a brutal guy with shovel.I really want to save someone, who hurted in gunfight.

I had a good group and the official server had a raider group who used a truck and traveled the highways that split off from what used to be a 25 man group who ruled the server and layed down the law. The group collapsed and so there were many big groups warring for territory on the server. My group was laying low in a nowhere base but my group slowly lost it and I was them becoming no better than the raiders so I left before it got me killed. Taking a break from the game for a bit but the characters still alive and while I was playing he was alive for about three weeks before my break.

I used to love playing as a medic, often times when I stated my intent to players who'd normally have killed me then and there would straight up just take me with them because I was friendly and also I provided medicine, was essentially more back pack space for meds food and water. Always felt nice to essentially have body guards armed to the teeth

You're a patient man! I usually go back to spawn locations and distribute goods to freshies when i reach end game tier equipment. I sometimes bury drybags with an AK, Deagle, mags and food and leave notes in town like a treasure hunt. I suck at PVP so might as well find something useful!

You should be like a Sherif of electro or something, you can only use a revolver and a repeater carbine and both the double barrel and pump Action shotguns (basically cowboy guns lol). You can't kill anyone unless they're actively shooting at you or doing something illegal like stealing or just being a public nuisance. When you kill some you must bring their gear to the jail room in the police station. You can take food from bars and shops same as drinks but you can drink from the fountains aswell.

Hey Rav, thanks for making this video. I just completed my EMT training here in the US and I wanted to play as a medic in dayz so I went out trying to do this. I am only on official servers though since I don't know the community well. I got a little scared running around in my bright blue jacket though and have switched to more camo clothes to hide. I would love advice on what type of server you did this on so that I can find a friendlier server to do this. So far, I have not seen anyone in the 3+ hours I've played in my character and I'm still afraid of losing my supplies to some random killer. Great video, and I think the world would be a lot better if people went out there trying to help instead of murder and loot.

I recorded this on 'Just survive' But its mainly a PvP server, for more interactions i'd suggest 'Dayone' And any other hardcore servers you can find as they tend to be alot more interaction oriented

Playing dayz back in the day, i always ended up collecting more medical supplies and healing people to become a 'Hero' fast. I even made a medic Heli that helped supply people that were stranded. Its a challenge but its fun to meet people and provide a fun energy to the game.

I used to play as a medic aswell. It is such a rewarding playstyle (But it can drive you mad when you get killed even though you are telling the people to not shoot since you have your arms up and no weapons on you). Well, I did not focuse on "only medical stuff" , I gave the players aswell stuff like military trousers, vests and any kind of goodies that would be helpful. Running around in my huge red mountain backpack and my red medical clothes I stood out and attracted most of the time KOS Players. But the times I was able to interact with people: gold! *Somebody walking towards me on the street with the weapon in the hand* Me: "Hey buddy, please don't shoot, im not hostile!" Player: "eeeh yeah hey all good" Me "Im a medic, do you need any goodies?" Player: "A medic?" Me: "Yeah exactly, have a look, I got bandages, trousers, vests, food,..." *dropping all the things on the ground while going into the surrender stance* Me: "You can take whatever you want" Player: "YO dudeeee what the fuck, thats awesome! Thank you so much?!?!?!" *Player loads up the stuff* Player: "I have never before experienced something like this, again, thank you so much!!!" Me : "No problem mate, see ya!" You know, it is just so god damn rewarding. Because it changes the view of these players. It changes the whole game in the end since you showed them that DayZ is not just about surviving and killing. Its about the interaction between the players. And you can choose what this interaction will look like.

I just got a PC it’s my first time playing Dayz on it . The modded servers with traders and stuff is sooo confusing , on KZbin they make it look so fun and simple !!! I was a bus driver once in dayz on deerisle. Called the bong bus. I was providing pendle rides and giving away free reefers along with some music from a soundboard. LOTS of great adventures i had with that. The occasional jerk sure, but overal, after some time people get to know you and leave you alone. The worst thing you can do is SIDING with people. You should be completely neutral as a medic.

Start a restaurant! I once ran a restaurant because I was bored of not meeting anyone, I set up lights and a campfires, food and drinks, had a farm going too, got one person to join as the farmer and I was the cook. Successfully served about 10 survivors throughout multiple days before someone ambushed us at night

Do a anti town challenge... the rules are simple you cant visit towns but you can go in militairy locations and hunting camps. Also for food you can only hunt because its hard to find food because you can not visit towns. The goal is to get fully geared and kill players in big militairy zones ;) (you can loot people if you kill then from outside to loot them but you have to be gone out of the town asap)
