@@rayaanansari9562 why do you say this? we all give account before God what we say and do and only in Christ Jesus are we saved amen For we know that if our earthly [a]house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our [b]habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as [c]a guarantee. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences. 12 For we do not commend ourselves again to you, but give you opportunity to boast on our behalf, that you may have an answer for those who boast in appearance and not in heart. 13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; or if we are of sound mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. 16 Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not [d]imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 corinthians 5

The way bots are programmed is: 1. They will talk about the opening 2. They will say a predetermined line when a. You check them b. You take their queen c. They check you d. They take your queen e. One of you promotes a piece 3. They will say a win/lose quote all situations only have one line. also a funny thing about the bots: they actually trashtalk their own openings. If they want to trashtalk your opening they will do it as soon as you do it.

Would've been nice if the lines were different depending on whether the evaluation was winning for them or losing for them. The "That check doesn't scare me" should only be played when they are currently winning, so it would make more sense. They could at least do that much. Also might make more sense if they didn't say those lines when the check is literally just a trade of pieces, but that might be more difficult to program idk.

@Brandon Tyler chess was a lot more popular back the.
@kreia1874 жыл бұрын
I think the reason she could do that was not only her rating. That only really reflects how accurate your moves in any given game will be. Now, obviously, that doesn't mean anyone who plays 10 games at the same time will be as good in all of them, as when they are playing and focusing on one game only, because most people can't concentrate and remember that many boards and will miss things, that their opponent doesn't, because they only have to focus on that one game. Beth Harmon however, had a very special gift in that she was exceptional at imagining the game and playing in her head, so she was able to bring the same attention to every single game. Her rating is just relatively low, because her knowledge and understanding of the game itself, at this point, weren't fully developed. Basically, her gift allowed her to play as many games simultaneously as she wanted, but her ability to play chess in general, wasn't that great in that scene. Fortunately, none of the club members were over 1600.

I wish I never gave up on chess. Lost a regional tournament for my team in the final and it destroyed me. Everyone was banking on me and I failed them, and they weren’t shy about blaming me for it being all my fault. It was heartbreaking at the time I was only 15 haha. I quit the team and rarely played again.

Have you picked up chess again? Its a shame giving up on it....I remember there was a time where I could never dream of beating my dad at it, he was insanely good at least in my eyes. I was 14 at that time and never managed to beat him as far as I'm concerned. It made me so frustrated and demotivated that I started playing again only a year ago, which is 3 years later. But it was worth it because It became kind of an obsession xdd Plus now I am actually well above level on my dad xdd I hope you didnt give it up completely, I bet you are a great player^^

Watching your confusion over the hung piece gave me a thought: it's arguably harder to program a chess bot to be lower rated than to play perfectly. How does it know which blunders to make? Are they randomly generated, or do they play a role in further development?
@LinusAkaPano2 жыл бұрын
I'd think there's a list of 99 possible choices and they are ranked from best to worth. And then a weighted calculation decided in which range the bot plays, which can at random strike very high up for some godlike picks and more often very far down for some super poor choices. In reality a machine doesn't just know the top 3 choices, it'll know the whole range but how pinpoint its aim is is solely based on how much time it has to calculate.
@flacsomtodosclas21652 жыл бұрын
@@LinusAkaPano the time dont care thats much 5 secs would already be enough to a cpu find a hundred plays but i guess they get nerfed só humans can fight them

I would just allow in inaccuracies, myself, rook then knight rather than the reverse order. Certain moves, like captures, are more human. Bots are more conservative, even if they loose tempo.

Dude, you are freaking amazing. Also, love the subtle New York humor. My wife looks at me curiously when I laugh out loud watching your videos, since I usually have my headphones on. She doesn't see how a chess video could be funny. Anyway, I have been stuck at about 1000 rating. Been playing about six months. I realized that I had no plan for my pawn endgame. I always groaned when it got to the endgame. Was too lazy to learn strategy. Who wants to learn boring pawn endgames, right? Like . . . why would the fourth quarter of a football game matter, right? Duh. I finally realized I needed to learn this crap. I pulled my chessboard out, and meticulously went over this video (I also went over Queen and Pawn Endgame). I felt like I was back in college playing the Mike Tyson Punchout video game (long before your time). My buddies and I could never knock Tyson out, until my brother bought a book that gave the secrets to beating Tyson (By the way, "books" are pages of writing bound in cardboard, in case you're not sure what a book is! Hey, how's that for New York humor, right?). Your endgames videos are like that to me. Wow. Oh, I'm not sure if you read all of your comments, but, if you do, give a shout out to my daughter's song about Chess, called "Chessboard." Yeah, this is a cheap plug, but it's not why I watched your videos. Her name is Amanda Fagan. Who writes songs about chess, right? On that issue alone, she should get a metal. Besides, the song is actually freaking awesome. It's on KZbin and Spotify. Keep up the great work. I'm going to keep watching your endgame videos. Can't wait to torture other people with my newfound knowledge. (I posted this message on a few of your videos because I don't know if you read all of the comments on all of your videos, since you have so many comments).
