If you want a new Castle Crashers so badly, play Madness: Project Nexus. It's made by Newgrounds guys, close friends of the main Castle Crashers devs (they may have contributed some things to the game too? I don't remember) and the gameplay takes a lot of inspiration from it, with many huge improvements like charged attacks, parries, dual wielding, weapon throwing, and unarmed fighting (which does less damage but is good for stunning or disarming enemies)

You're kinda playing the version of the one AFTER castle crashes since it says 12th anniversary and also I played this 2 player and when one player died, the other player could resurrect that player.... By hitting the 3 notes corresponding to their arrow keys and its clearly inspired by fnf, and if you think "oh you're just a kid from 2020 trynna act smart" well the noise it makes when you hit the corresponding keys plus the version in this video was after 2020... Yeah you can kinda see what I mean, you can still play the og one on new grounds (I genuinely thought castle crashing the beard came after)

The reason it was about fighting his beard is that Tom Fulp said at the time that he wouldn't shave his beard until Castle Crashers was done. Hence the memes.
