Me and my friends had this theory that the Orange princess was killed some time during the game. During the painter boss fight you see pictures of her with a sword in her back, and every time she's on screen alone she doesn't make a sound or seem to stand up, She just lays there. Finally the fact that she turned into a clown at the very end. Maybe as some kind of last laugh by the evil wizard.

Man, that crystal theory makes the game so much more disturbing. Like you’re killing all these people that are your allies, at the end of the day. But it also explains why the skeletons attacked you if they’re the lava town villagers… and I guess we could say the necromancer revived them, but he couldn’t have brought back all of them. It also explains why all but one regular enemy is playable.

about the last entry, we can see that the area leading up to the crystal castle place that houses all the endgame bosses and the castle itself are full of skeletons and pieces of torn up houses, sheds, and other structures. this probably means there was once a kingdom next to the ice kingdom that has since been destroyed presumably by the wizard and turned into his own lair.

I think within the Under Water section at 4:09 means to reference Waterflame (composer for some music) and Acid Lightning (being some sort of content creator for the game) as being inspirations for the four elements the knights hold (Water (Ice), Flame (Fire), Acid (Poison), Lightning (lightning lol)). I can honestly see the Crystal theory being true as it can actually explain why you unlock enemies after most play throughs ( granted the real reason is probably because playing as the enemies is a cool concept but it’s cool to think about )

I have had a theory for a long time that Alien Hominid, BattleBlock Theatre, and Castle Crashers are all connected. This is because the Alien Ship in Alien Hominid is seen being shot down by a large beam, possibly being Hattingtons after the credits of BBT. Although in AH it is implied that the FBI shot it down, it could’ve just been an alarm that alerted people of Alien Invasion. In Castle Crashers, we also can obviously find both Hattington and his Golden Whale pet, along side the Aliens in their ship that were identical to the ones in AH. There is more to the theory, but I don’t have time to explain it in depth. I might make a KZbin video on it at some point in the future though.

The Orange princess is the corpse we see in the final boss fight, the whole game is a dream of the king who lost his wife(Queen) to the evil wizard. This is why the Orange princess turns into a clown at the end of the game it’s the end of the kings dream and it’s like a never ending nightmare for him, each character is just another dream with a different story. We can also see paintings of a dead orange princess in the painters boss fight

If you're looking for ideas on Castle Crashers challenge runs, I think I might have an idea, one that's not even too painful. It might also showcase some of the lesser used weapons in the game. The premise is that you must switch to and use every weapon you find during the campaign. This can be through weapons that are plainly in sight, dug up or bought. Making sure you start with a shovel might also make it a bit more fun. Here are also some extra rules ro spice it up. - You can never go into the moose-frog to change your weapon. - Whenever you enter a shop, you must buy the weapon there if you haven't already. - To prevent it from just being a magic run, you can't invest more than five points into magic. (Just to unlock the horizontal projectile spell). Given castle crashers rather imbalanced weapons, this could be a fun run to showcase the ignored weapons while indulging in some hijinks from potential dropped weapons from enemies.

I think that the skeleton and the crown where supposed to be the orange's princess corpse and crown, and yeah, I know that we don't see the princess with a crown but i do think that the plan was to get the princess killed (mainly for the art that we can see in the paintings in the painter's boss fight) and because I'm pretty sure that Dan said once that the idea was for the mage to kill the princess unleashing the fury of the knights

Acid lighting is a castle crashers KZbinr. He is also the owner of the “Behemoth Finest” which is the largest Behemoth game/Castle Crashers club on Xbox. He’s a well known figure in the community on xbox. LFG is most likely referencing the Looking for group post system on Xbox for all games including Castle Crashers. The LFG community is pretty active and is iconic for public displays of trash talk between players.

The Hatty/crystal connection also comes from a cutscene in Battle Block Theater, where the narrator lists a bunch of origin theories for the evil hat, one of which was that it was found atop a big, red crystal.

The Switch, PS4, and Xbox One versions have Hatty unlockable for gold in the Insane Store. Alien is technically also DLC for Xbox 360 because you have to get an achievement in Alien Hominid to unlock him. Correction 2: 2:57 You can play as many Castle Crashers characters in Battleblock theater! RIP hatty hattington,saddest death ever,i couldn't belive what had happened when i first saw the final level and the tragic cutscene that came with it,the final level was a mix of *awesomeness* of the music,the hard timings,and getting to the final jump...when you finished the level,you would go to hatty's room where it was already too late,you took him and ran outside to see all your friends fighting the guards and the storm just adding more tension to get to the ship,when you got to the ship,you thought there was hope,but you slowly realized that there wasn't,the ending was unexpected because i thought he would return to life but sadly no,the hat corrupted him so i hope there will be a sequel to the game or atleast some explanation or some video.

16:17 although a silly game the idea now it’s intriguing to imagine that this floating castle of evil went around to collect crystals and bait in the form of princesses but were stopped only thanks to these knights, I mean armour was normally standardised so it’s also a nice idea for the necromancer having a similar design to our armour. I am just glad to see this game again, also I forgot hegreen knight had a special attack like that! And more interestingly, the wiki states that the Arabian/sand knights can also do a unique attack in the form of the sand twirl. I don’t know how and if it’s real. But it’s also interesting, totally not happy as the green knight was the knight I played at the start and the only one so far that I made him reach level 99. I tell you the insane volcano solo was a grand milestone indeed

goodness, i think this is a mandela effect. i was playing xbox 360 Castle Crashers, and i loaded into a online multiplayer match, someone was playing as the troll, someone played as red knight, and someone played as the EVIL WIZARD(not the minion). I swear, i remember it clear as day. That group was how i maxed out my king, beating insane mode with them. I ported the save data to remastered, and yeah, my king is still lvl 99, gold skull.

If you were to ask me, I would say that the crown, skeleton, and broken chair you see in the wizard boss fight was probably used as a threat to scare the player that the king was killed, because we rarely see him in the game at all, and we have no knowledge of where he could have went.

Well, there are a few things that pretty much disprove the Bear theory. For one, you can see it's real arms when beefy, and they're also covered in fur, confirming it is indeed a bear. Second, the aliens also have the same armor over their arms and legs to fit the style of the game, and we already know they're legit aliens.

Alright, time for my genius to show: The Hatty Crystal theory references that the crystal that is taken from the king and CORRUPTED (keep that in mind) could’ve possessed Furbottoms hat in Battleblock Theatre, causing the hat to be so powerful and have the same mysterious glow as the crystal. Which leads to this: The hat is possessed by a fragment of the crystal, which just so happened to have a bit of the evil Wizard remaining inside of it.

6:45 No. Pink Knight isn't an Orange Princess, but might be her brother instead. From Battleblock Theater we know, that Orange Princess has a brother named Shmuko, who is a clown too... But also we know, that clowns are a different race with their own biology, like instead of baby teeth they have baby hairs. And also we know, that they can look like normal humans. But normal look is working only until someone looks in their eyes. So, I think, that clowns are mimics and can also be symbiosis with their owners. That means, that instead of real Orange Princess Evil Wizard kidnapped her clown, who just tried to protect her. But real Orange Princess is.... Orange Knight. Because we know, that Orange Princess in her clown look has a different lollipop, not like Pink Knight has. She might be a girl, who can protect herself. Orange Princess also known as Nightmare Princess, and what can be more terrifying than fire? Fire animals? Pink Knight has his power from Commander Video, and this power can be described as the power of love, but his sister might have an opposite power. UPD8: Also I want to mention, that the Behemoth has an old flash game, where we can play as Pink Knight Girl. I think, that can be Orange Princess too. While Shmuko (maybe) had his own business on Hypersphere and learning his new powers, Orange Princess could possibly replace his brother on home world, because she has that clown power too. So instead of being Pink Knight it would be more correct to say Pink Knight Girl

Man, this is reminding me of all those old hoax videos I used to watch about the game. Stuff like unlocking the alien pet by completing some challenge, or being able to unlock the developers as playable characters. I was so disappointed when I found out they were fake.

About the dead king in the wizard boss fight, I remember hearing a theory that said the wizard was a court wizard for the father of the current king, But the wizard wanted the throne so they rebeled and killed the previous king and claimed his castle turning it into the gem palace ya go to in the final level. Luckily for the kingdom the current king took the crystal and reclaimed the throne before setting up the new castle and throne. The reason for claiming the crystal being that the crystal empowers the evil wizard, so the wizard without the crystal that gave him power schemed and plotted to reclaim it. Though this is just a theory I heard a while ago, it would explain alot of the easter eggs ya see in the evil wizards palace.
