I remember watching a lance video a while back in which he talked us through his character WHILE DOING MEMORY GAME. And I was sure that this man would never ever die to memory game. o7 Never underestimate the effect of tiredness.

Sick vid. Very impressive build. Contagion just feels good. Im also currently almost finished with a SCSSF run with ED of Desperation Trap. Super fun build.

What a good old classic, didnt play Trickster ED for ages. How did you level this char and when did you sawp CI?

As far as I know, for any CI trickster build, you can swap to CI after doing ascendancy in act 8 As for leveling, I used to play ED/C once I got it, so somewhere around level 10/12

@@holyshiet787 You cant just swap to CI in act 8, you will have no health pool. You need decent ES gear to play CI

@@finneas9894 in act 8 you can unlock Escape Artist in labs, and get discipline aura and voila, you have energy shield. But in league start scenario? I wouldnt do that

People can't call me weird in global anymore for linking items with faster recharge. Also you should try katabasis, wintertide brand has really low damage and scuffed tree, it doesnt compare to our newest toy.

Essence drain contagion was literally the first build that I really played ;) its endearing to my heart, but like any dot skill it lacks on damage. Never got there reason why there is a cap on dots anyway. Excited for winterbrand

You're not hitting the dot cap on ed contagion lol. It's 25m dps, that's enough dps to instant kill anything. Like Uber bosses are only like 70m hp or something, they have damage reduction that makes them giga tanky but that exists to balance it so DoT cap doesnt cuck your dmg, you're still able to do 25m dps on that 70m hp. I don't know why the cap exists specificaally, but the cap isn't a bottleneck to these builds. The cap is high enough that it doesn't matter

the reason there is a dot cap is because of how the game is coded. it is on a 32 bit system and when this is done it is limited to 32.6 mil dps. Now you can stack ur dps higher and so you can stack more poisons so it ramps faster but thats the reason there is a dot cap its not some dev design to nerf them its because the game cannot calculate the dps faster however this doesnt matter outside of delve.

a lot of DoT builds have similar dps, as in it has no dps and its shit. Poison and some specific ignite setups are excluded.

Logging out is not hardcore. Should be punished for not logging out at non-combat zone

@@ALostCanoe no, they're right, as much as you'd hate it. Chris admitted ages ago they're balancing poe1 around logout macro, they want people to use it in situations you can't get out of. This is changed in poe2 though.

@@asdaasdsa Wouldn't you argue that this "balancing" is just a reaction to doing what the playerbase wants because it would be "too hard without it" Hence its just softcore with logging out before you die.
