The purple meter in beast wars is a nod to the show. In it, the maximals and predicons must stay in their beast modes from time to time since the overload of energon in the planet fries their circuits if their out of beast mode for a long time

My main issue with Rise of the Dark Spark is that there are so few checkpoints in the game, with an absurd difficulty. Best example is the Shockwave level where you’re tasked with deactivating 4 power stations, and the little drones that spawn in can kill you within a single second. This coupled with the facts that NO checkpoints are provided after you deactivate a power station made the level extremely frustrating, since a minor mistake could set you back 15 minutes.

For my own mental sanity there was no way I'd be able to fully beat all of these games. I played them all until I either got stuck in them or got bored of them and got the gist but I tried to give them most of them about an hourish I really thought I was gonna beat that Transformers Armada game but I couldn't get past Tidal Wave in a timely manner and I gave it so many chances to try and beat it but I couldn't get past it. I've had the privilege of playing WFC and FoC both in their golden eras on ps3. Clan wars, various community drama, and both notorious and legendary players being recognized are some of the things that made them so fun. Shout out @RodimusPrime86 for basically documenting the entire online presence of both games on ps3 so anyone can watch the literal Skyrim lore on these beautiful games that has been created for a decade through the community. 1:45:47 For that final boss fight I replayed it about 40 times, on the highest difficulty (Prime) where 2 hits kill you, with modded stats lower than usual (mainly those that affect melee and range damage) so that I could keep the fight longer sync with the music as well as showcase some high end combos. Something you missed about the DS Transformers The Game (Decepticons and Autobots) You can change the colors of the Vehicles you Scan. I don’t remember how but I believe it’s something that can be done from Menus when you start your Save up again and Pick your Create a Bot. It has a Master List of every Vehicle you scan, so you can not only pick one again if you preferred it, but also swap the colors around. For some Vehicles like the Prison Van, or News Chopper it some of the Colorschemes change the pattern on the Vehicle as well.

Armada PS2 runs at 30fps, but is interlaced to output at 60fps. Tidal Wave is a bit of a challenge, I usually run the sniper and weapon range enhancer. I feel like Armada did feature a decent opening level? For the time, being able to render the Amazon with all of those trees was rather impressive. The beginning of the level, where you climb up the rocks and engage in small groups of enemies around the first Mini-Con does teach you the game's mechanics.

Revenge of the fallen was pretty good too. There was something more restrictive about scanning that I didn’t like that Ive long forgot but I remember staying home from school pretending to be sick so I could play it all day when I first got it, then I had nightmares about it because I played too long and it fried my brain. Great times man, great times.

Regarding the different ending for the Revenge of the Fallen, most adaptations of the story (including the novel and comic adaptation of ROTF) use an earlier version of the script. I believe the novel is the most different with how the ending plays out. The most interesting changes I've found were: Ratchet and Ironhide get more action scenes and a one-liner from Ironhide, The Fallen actually activates the machine atop the Pyramid instead of it being destroyed, the line about Primes being born, Megatron betrays the Fallen and escapes to the portal back to the ship (where he discovers the Fallen's army), and Sam's visions dissapearing is explained. Why was all of this changed in the film? During the making of the film, a writer's strike was ongoing and an imploding budget led to certain scenes not able to be made in time. This is somewhat disappointing, but I find the cut ending of Dark of the Moon to be the true tragedy.

I gotta say. The Decepticon version of the first Transformers game on the DS is PEAK. Like you should finish it to give yourself the honor of seeing a peak story, even if it's with the crap Michael Bay designs. Also, I actually like Starscream's voice in the DS version. It fits his personality very well. But Revenge of the Fallen on the DS was the worst thing I ever played on that system. Except maybe Dark of the Moon on DS

There are a few games we’ve gotten since Devastation, but they aren’t much. They seem to be on the Animated game’s level. Battlegrounds in 2020, Beyond Reality in 2022, Earthspark in 2023, and Galactic Trials this year. Also I’d definitely recommend watching Animated when you get the chance. It’s as good as Prime in very different ways.

Fall of Cybertron is one of my favourite games of all time. I wish the franchise as a whole focused more on the era before earth on Cybertron, cause its so much cooler. Which there has been a huge dearth of since the end of the IDW comic run. Just like how the old Republic is the coolest era of star wars, yet is only served by Swtor... Also the Cinematics of War/Fall of Cybertron and swtor are some of the greatest pieces of media within their respective franchises. I just wish they would make a full movie like that

Transformers: DEVASTATION is special to me. Though the Beast Wars game on PS1 and the Armada game on the PS2 are the first Transformers games I played, DEVASTATION is the one I finished over and over again on different difficulties (except Magnus, can't do Magnus difficulty yet), and DEVASTATION is my gateway to Transformers fandom, making me into a Transformers fan and started collecting Transformers figures since then, so DEVASTATION holds a special place in my heart and honestly in life too, also honestly love the heavy metal soundtrack. It's just a real shame I didn't become a fan much sooner, I would've got into War and Fall of Cybertron, I regret not owning both when it came out, but I still wanna play both games, even to this day.

There are actually 2 games that aren't mobile games that weren't covered in this video. There is a Japan exclusive Gameboy Color game that was based on the Japanese manga version of Beast Wars which is very different than the US version of Beast Wars, and there was Transformers: Battlegrounds which was oddly enough like a turn based tactical rpg released in 2020. There was also a MOBA in development at one time but it shutdown in 2015 before ever leaving beta testing.

In the Beast Wars series, they land on a planet (Ancient Earth) and the energon levels are so rich they can't leave their insides exposed for long, being in beast mode gives them a breather and protection from the radiation of the energon in a way, but the longer they stay in beast mode, the more animalistic they become too. It had pretty good writing for it's time, which is why I was fond of it.

Fall of Cybertron means so much to me. A video game has never had a better trailer- action, drama, beautiful colors, and so many other things I can't put into words. (The song from the trailer is "The Humbling River" by Puscifer if anyone is wondering.) - I begged for it for Christmas, but didn't say anything when I didn't get it cuz it was like a $60 game at the time, and I thought maybe we couldn't afford it this year. But of course my mom got it for me. I never ask for anything, and it was the only thing I ever wanted. She cried when she thought I thought she didn't buy it because I didn't say anything about not getting the game. Turns out it just accidentally got kicked under the bed when she was wrapping presents and didn't find it until days after Christmas. - I booted the game up for the first time, and there were so many explosions on screen that it bricked my old fat ps3. When I finally got a ps3 slim and was able to play it, I was completely blown away. Like, dude, the scene of Metroplex just punching a tiny Megatron flat into the ground repeatedly had me up out of my seat cheering and giddy. The mechanics, combat, and transformations felt so good,. This was the first game I ever got 100% achievements for. - It also had some really good pvp. It was team deathmatch style or control points, and you could customize your own bot using parts from existing transformers based on the class you chose. So for example, it'd be like light, medium, and heavy. Light were your small fast guys - less health buy fast movement - so you could use parts from characters like Bumblebee or Starscream, etc. Medium were your average, so like Soundwave or Slag, and Heavy guys were your slow big boys like Megatron, Optimus, Grimlock, etc. (There are more characters you can choose to take parts from in each category, just going off ones I can remember.) The maps were all big and gorgeous. How did Fall of Cybertron have a map vote and Overwatch still doesn't?! You could transform at any time during pvp as you could also shoot in vehicle mode, so it made combat really interesting in these vehicle/robot fights where you could chase down your opponent if they tried to escape for a healthpack or to a healer. And each class - light, medium, and heavy - had their own special abilities you could pick as your loadout. So you could play differently every match - say as one match as a flyer you choose to be a support and take a healing gun as a secondary, or the next match you opt for more damage and take a deployable sentry to shoot enemies. It did have a problem with hackers, as there was one map I remember where a flyer could get out of the skybox and shoot enemy players without being able to be shot back, but the few times it did happen are overshadowed by the other high octane matches of everybody's transformer oc of mismatched robot and dino parts blasting each other in glorious spectacle. -- I do hope Fall of Cybertron gets brought back in some capacity, either reviving the pvp if the original game is brought to Game Pass (as much as I dislike consoles for their money grubbing overlords), or a remaster that will bring those beautiful environments even more to life. -- I doubt something like that will happen because of how many licensing issues Transformers as had. And I guess in a way, maybe I don't want the gamepass or remaster, if only to preserve the glowing nostalgia I have for this game and don't want to see it ruined by corporate meddling. (Well, more so.) -- But, this game will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the things that solidified my loved for Transformers as a whole, and a source of immense joy for what little life it got to live.

The guns in Devastation is actually really useful as a combo extender as if you launch a enemy after a combo, if you shoot them right after, it will lead into a vehicle attack to keep your combo going.

when I was in Highschool back in 2018 through 2019, I played the story modes for War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron on the ps3 and they we're Bangers and it's such a shame that they haven't been remastered or put on steam because those we're good games

Fun fact, Mystery of Convoy is canonically a game being played by a time-traveling Megatron and extradimensional Optimus Prime (that's what the huge OP head at the start of the game is) where Megatron gave his power to the Decepticons and Optimus Prime gives his power to Magnus, it's described as 'a game of death and suffering' where Magnus dies and is resurrected over and over again. Also Optimus and Megatron are playing this game from the universe of the Live-Action movie's toy bios.

In stealth force edition it seems there's a siphoning mechanic to promote a more aggressive playstyle, your combat mode bar gets a portion back when you defeat an enemy and collect their energon

I'm an expert at the Armada game and would've suggested you use a cheat code to just one shot tidal wave. Also you should've use Lock-on a lot in the early 2 levels since the devs give you a easy aim weapon that you don't really need the enemy in the crosshairs to lock onto them. The clunky movement is sort of accounted for since enemies target ahead of where your moving, so you can kite most enemy attacks to not get damaged as much. Red Alert is the best character to choose from out of the 3 for having the most defense and balance stats across the board(saying this since you don't have any footage of playing him). And lastly try to exploit the ragdoll physics as much as possible when dealing with hoards of regular enemies to literally juggle them while damaging them.
