I played Final Fantasy for the FIRST time in 15 years and plan to play EVERY Game in the series

I flew through FF1 pixel remaster using a warrior, thief, white mage, and black mage. I thought it was super easy, except the final boss, which I killed in one try, but used a lot of items (potions, ethers, etc.) until I figured out some tricks that would've made it super easy. Looking forward to this series. It's cool to see others' takes on the games.

Don't let people tell you FF2 is a bad game that should be skipped. It's the first FF game that feels final fantasy. Both FF1 and FF3 feel very much like their own things very different than the rest of the series while FF2 is more in line with later games. It's also just a fun game if you like exploring long dungeons. Though ofc I'd recommend the PR version since it's more balanced than the original version.

I previously played the PSP version of the game and I'm already at the end of the Pixel Remaster Version. Hopefully will have a video for it in a couple of weeks.

I thought Final Fantasy II was better in the Pixel Remasters than has been any time prior - if you exclude the Rebirth of Souls mode landlocked to the GBA version of course. I did gain a new sense of appreciation for the game this time around. I know the characters are simple but it actually a nice touch compared to the blank slates in FF1 & FF3. My opinion of FF4 did kind of crater again though; it's not bad but I can't help but feel it would only wow me back when it came out.

100% agreed. I played it back when it first came out and remember getting addicted to the gameplay. I'm looking forward to seeing it with fresh eyes when I play it again as part of this series since it's been so long.

About that FF2 is pure crap and isn't worth playing any version of it and by FF2 I mean the one with the crappy NO normal exp system FF11 14 and 15 I believe are ALL MMO types so I won't play those either.

FF15 isn't an MMO. It's a single player open world game. I'm currently playing FF2 right now... Look forward to my video sharing my thoughts on it.
