There are a few people that hate FFXIII .But for the most part at least everyone that I know including myself were just more disappointed that the potential of FF XIII wasn't fully realized. Being a fan of the trilogy myself.I would be more than happy with a remaster.

I liked a lot more FF XVI than Rebirth, I said it. Combat in Rebirth for me feels atrocious, its just not fun for me. I wonder if the devs even played the combat challenges and the summon challenges, because its a fucking joke. Also, exploration in XVI is zero, but goddamn in Rebirth cannot be more repetitive. I wish something in the middle. And well, I feel like Rebirth, sometimes, its too childish compared to the original, at the same time, I feel like XVI loses his core style telling the story from the beginning of the game and gets a little bit like any other FF game (not complaining, but could have been cool to explore more of that Game of Thrones style). Rebirth was too much of the same, XVI too less of something that could have been incredible.

threads of fate, the whispers, the multiverse, right out of Kingdome Hearts... Which is Nomura's baby, and this is of course tied into Advent Children which was also Nomura's baby... This is what Nomura would have done with FF7, and its bad... I hate the multiverse idea in comics and the who concept of the threads of fate. If anything can happen, and in some alternate reality does happen than anything can be undone which mean nothing has any meaning. Is Aerith dead, in this reality maybe, but in another reality she's not so we can go get her from another reality and she's alive again, CONGRATS YOU JUST MADE THE CONSEQUENCES OF ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN YOUR GAME MEANINGLESS.

The Remakes are sequels simply because the Sephiroth we see in Remake is the same Sephiroth we saw in Advent Children. He traveled back in time and took over his Jenova self, the same way he did in Advent Children. The flying creatures that attack periodically are a result of this timeline invasion. They're trying to force events back the way they're suppose to be. The end of the first Remake frees them from the constant attacks which also lets the writers change whatever they want in the next games. This also plays into Sephiroth's plan as it gives him another chance to succeed. The Remakes should be called Final Fantasy 7 : Sephiroth's Retry.

Unluckly TGS passed and no announcements were made, of course the focus is for the game awards now. My guess is also the game is in development for the new Nintendo switch too, so, the game will be announced after the new console presentation and we're also not too much far from that event. The clues are all here in this video, it's time for evidence square! 😅

Loving your content! As a fellow creator I always wanted to go through these games like this, but never had the time, so its cool to see someone else do it!

The question that was lightly mentioned in Intergrade and going into part 3 will be is the missing link known as Genesis will be relevant somehow. Especially if they decide to address anything from DoC or write that and Genesis (who has an unfinished arc) out of the canon for good.

I love the idea of a spin off game where Beatrix is the main character, either a prequal focused on how she became one of the strongest warriors in Alexandria or a more mature sequel where we explore how she deals with her involvement in what is essentially war crimes during the events of FF9. What kind of trauma she would feel visiting a ruined Bermecia, etc. and can she really be forgiven for those actions? We could explore more of her "redemption arc" in the form of flashbacks to her FF9 off screen dialogs and battles.

While I would love a FF9 Remake, I'm not on board with Square chopping the game into separate pieces just to milk more money from the player; much to the dismay of FF7 in its current state.

XIII has an insane amount of bottled potential, but thats what it stayed as... bottled. Dont get me wrong, i adored ff13 in its hayday. But definitely see its issues these days. Call it a bias, but i really believe theres something diamond in there, something that modern hardware, less time restriction would really allow it to shine.

If there’s no payoff to the multiverse situation then this was a waste of time imo. The two games we got were fine but I’ll be passing on P3 if this is just the same thing we’ve already had for 27 years. Keep remakes faithful from now on if you’re not going to do anything creative with them….

This is an amazing theory and I'm sad that by time the 3rd game is released, I'll most likely have forgotten it. But I do hope that once it is released and if you're right, you make a follow up video to this one. I didn't have much thoughts about the 3rd game except that Aerith's true death was a foregone conclusion because SE knows that her death is THE most impactful event in the entire story. The 'fake-out' happens because this isn't truly the end of her. Can't wait for the doomsayers to eat their words when the 3rd game ties everything together in a neat little bow. *knocks on wood*

The song can't be about Zack for many reasons, the lyrics, the music is played on Cloud and Aerith's last date, etc... the emotional core of the FFVII story was always the loss of a loved one, in how Cloud falls in love throughout the game with Aerith and loses her without telling her how he feels about her. This song cannot be about Zack and Aerith because it goes against the OG and the idea that the devs want to convey to the player who we are Cloud in the game.

Great speculation. I think some fans have taken this sequal or not point waaaaay too far and accusing the developer of false marketing, which is rediculous because you are accusing of someone on a theory that people are not sure about and can interprete in different ways (like you can simply interprete the vision as planet's prescient ie Minority Report or Dune etc). I think people should just play the game, hold on to your theories, but keep an open mind (don't think your own theory as the best or the only theory) and see where part 2/3 goes, instead of being so negative on things. That is a much better way to experience the whole Remake 👍

You have to be blind to think this trilgoy is not a sequel. Obviously it isn't a traditional one, but these games pretty much assume you are at least familiar with the main beats of what happened in the original for the story to make any sense. That's why I will always call this games "the FFVII Sequel Trilogy" and you can't change my mind.

I look at the Chronological story as this, First Soldier, Ever Crisis, Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children, Dirge Of Cerberus, Remake, Rebirth. I believe Sephiroth was never truly wiped out at the end of the timeline, Jenova still has Lucrecia crystallized by the end of Dirge Of Cerberus, which means she never entered the Lifestream. That means Sephiroth never met his mother, but Hojo entering the Lifestream at the end of Dirge Of Cerberus probably raised a question to the still under the influence of Jenova, Sephiroth.

I'm convinced it is a sequel, comparing the story beats and the visions that implies that the OG has already happened meaning in the past. Crisis Core is only but 1 part of the compilation, and while the other parts have merely had minor samplings of it in Rebirth and Remake, I feel part 3 will feature them more which includes First Soldier from Ever Crisis, Before Crisis, and Dirge of Cerebus. Also Zack's involvement in the story also says to me that after the main story beats are hit, the story can go many different directions.

The backwards Leveling system and keyword system are nit picked at in this game!! I actually prefer the Leveling system this way as I can focus on 1 individual stat and level up too my leisure!! Not too mention there's no level cap so I can max out the stats unlike in FF1 where when you leveled up your stats was dependent on RNG not to mention there's a level cap in most of these games and once you reach that level wherever your stat points are at be happy with them or start over!! As for the keyword system it's no different from FF3 and FF4s key item system nor is it any different from FF1s fetch quest!! All it requires you to do is interact with other NPCs which you'll probably do anyways already if you're going in blind without a guide!! Of course me defending this game isn't me saying it's the best one ever in the series just the 2 common things people like to complain about this game just honestly feels like nit picking to make the game seem worse then it actually is!! At least in my own opinion i didn't find those 2 factors to be that bad!! However I will admit FF2 does have quite a bit of flaws too it!! FF3 on the other hand is my least favorite of the FF games and it's for good reasons why!! First off how you gonna say FF2 is the "black sheep" when it took them 16 years to give us FF3 and when they finally did give us FF3 it was the 3D remake on a handheld system not the 2D original or remaster on the big television screen!! To me that's them trying to trick us into believing FF3 was a handheld game and should be looked at and treated as such!! It may fly over some gamers heads but I am not that naive!! In fact if you wanna go even deeper then the closest thing we got to the OG FF3 was pixel Remaster which was given to us 31 years after the games release!! And when I played FF3 that's what gave me that conclusion as too why it took them so long to give us the 2D original art style of the game!! Sorry FF3 fans but in my honest opinion FF3 is the worst in the series not FF2!!

FF13 was supposed to be linear and hallway-like to reflect how everything the characters experienced was fated up until Lightning confronting Bhunivelze in Lightning returns. Maybe even that was fated. Gran Pulse is supposed to be empty and devoid of cities because Pulse was tasked by Bhunivelze to find the physical location of Etro's Gate; Pulse fal'Cie brand l'Cie to further this purpose, but humans aren't necessary. It is Lindzei who needed humans in Coccoon to open Etro's Gate so wide you couldn't miss it, by making Coccoon fall and flooding Etro's Gate with souls. I agree this stuff was too hidden in the datalogs and could be made clearer, but the linearity of the game and Gran Pulse being so empty were amazing ludonarrative elements.

For people saying it might come after FFVIIR part 3, I dont think so. This game has been worked on since 2020. They also wouldnt have epic game store DLC ready if it was just coming in 2028 or so. To have the DLC ready, its pretty much ready and will release in 2025.
