For all my fellow Helldivers, the weak spot on chargers is under the armor on their front legs, not the back. Blow off the armor on the legs and shoot the fleshy weak spot below and they’ll melt! Railguns, grenades, any explosive can blow it off

if u have railguns (which is like lvl 20 to unlock) if can't just shoot the ass till it pops then it will bleed to death pretty quickly kinda hard to use granades under them when they charge a lot or ig just bait em to hit a wall then do that or Expendable Anti-Tank and Recoilless Rifle will do enough

@@lag00n54 yes, but if someone your with has a rail gun, or you can use the recoiless which is much lower level than rail gun, and remember you can cook grenades or use impact grenades. But if you can’t then just shoot the back. I was just letting you know where the actual weak spot was

Autocannon unlocks at lvl 10, that is pretty good substitute until you get railgun. That ammo backpack lasts long time.

A major tip for anyone using keyboard and mouse- Assign the stratagem directional keys to the directional keys on your keyboard. That way you don't have to be standing still while calling in your stuff. Controller users can already do this by default.

Arrow keys take too long. You take your hand off your mouse, on your keyboard, and then back on your mouse. In higher difficulties, you're expected to call your stratagems on a dime because there's virtually zero downtime between enemy waves. This is especially true for your reinforce command. Keep the stratagems on WASD, but practice diving right before inputting your code. You can input your commands in the middle of jumping and if you're quick on your toes, you WILL have your stratagem ready before you even land from your dive. You lose virtually no momentum doing it this way, and it's much faster than using your arrow keys. This is your official advisory from your friendly neighborhood Skull Admirals.

@@gracecalis5421 it's honestly to each their own. I find moving around much more reliable than moving my camera around while calling in strategems since I know where I want to aim prior to calling them in. Few milliseconds off the mouse is barely anything and I've done this in impossible and helldiver mode 😂 I even tested out my reflexes of the wasd compared to directional keys during the strategems mini game and I'm just significantly faster with directional keys. The brain is weird and again, it just works better for some people. It also can be casual friendly because I've seen my friends countless of times get blown up/mobbed while standing still rather than moving around while calling in strategems. They're not hardcore sweaty gamers or anything of the sort so their inputs aren't the fastest, so they prefer at least more movement to get away from things in case of being swarmed while calling in things. Once again though, to each their own. I'm just letting some peeps know that the thing you can do on controller by default is a thing you can also do on keyboard.

Friendly tip Fruit: Chargers weakspots aren't in their exposed backside, as they just take normal damage. To deal increased damage and kill them REALLY fast, you'll want to shoot the armor off their legs, as the flesh underneath that spot is the actual weakspot.

Tips for the chargers early game when you don't have some of the more OP weapons/strategems. If you manage to strip their leg of its armor, you can use any primary/secondary fire to finish it off by firing at the exposed flesh. Throwing stratagem call ins like supplies and drop pods and such to get it to attach on the charger can get an easy kill as well. I find throwing from an elevated spot more reliable to get it to stick onto the charger as throwing it from the side tends to just bounce off. Or you can just try to intercept it by timing it, or have the charger slam into a wall first for an easier target. If you have the autocannon gun unlocked (both the turret and/or heavy weapon), aim for its back legs over and over. It not only topples them but the explosive damage gets a chance to finish it off on the spot.

Pro-tip: The Charger's weak spot is not the back, it's actually its two front legs. If you can get the armor off of them, shoot there for massive damage. Otherwise, the back is the next best option.

Fun fact about the charager: It doesnt actually have a visible weak point. its ass just takes normal damage. If you want to reveal its weak point you can shoot its front claws with any support weapon explosive, such as the Expendable AT rockets, the recoiless Rifle, etc, or you can shoot the claw twice with a railgun to blow the armor off and expose its squishy flesh. The arch thrower and Flamethrower also work but take a while. While that's not an issue for the arch thrower because of its infinite ammo it'll typically use 2-3 canisters from the flamethrower. You can also shoot underneath it with the grenade launcher or shoulder mounted autocannon, but those also take a bit to kill it. The autocannon sentry can also kill it rather quickly. If all else fails you can do what I did for a while and that was bait it into headbutting a wall, then toss down a precision strike on it. It hitting the wall or another hard surface, such as another charger, stuns it long enough to get hit by a precision strike or other orbital.

Tip for chargers. Use anti tank to destroy armor on one of the front legs. The exposed areas will be weak spots that are unarmed and less than a full clip of primary in the exposed leg will bring down the charger with little difficulty

The mine field is useful for the personal extraction missions. Placing one in the corners where the drop ship deploys the automatons is enough for a couple of waves sometimes.
