Dear Garrett. You’re going to get SO much sh*t but I hope you know there are grown ups out here that understand what you did to elevate “golf entertainment” to the place it is now. This event is really a salute to your work and effort. I’ve been watching since you were a trick shot artist and I remember the false starts, the trials, the tough stuff. We all salute Rick Shiels and all the OGs, but you (and the boys) put golf entertainment in the eyeballs of the PGA. And THAT is an accomplishment.

2 things, 1: You could not have had a better caddy. He was so supportive and trying to get you in the right mindset. Serious kudos to Blake. and 2: No one can even begin to imagine how much pressure you had on you. The best advice I have is the more you compete in big events like this that matter, the more that pressure will dissipate. You are such a bad ass and we all love what you do for golf and your attitude for life.

When I was younger, playing Little League baseball, I asked my dad why I always felt nervous and got butterflies in my stomach. He told me, "It’s because it matters to you, and you want to do your best. I’d be worried if you didn’t feel nervous." That advice has stayed with me throughout my life. Whenever I get nervous, I know it’s because something is important to me.

The thing is… You’ve done so much for golf that you don’t have to prove anything else. You’re a humble guy and you’ll never accept it, but that whole entire event happened because teenage Garret banged wedges with his buddies at Watters Creek long enough to start making content which grew into an AMAZING way to bring people to the game. Without Garret there is no Good Good, without Good Good there is no Golf Creators Event. You making a 9 probably kept a lot of your viewers grinding forward just knowing it can happen to anyone. Kudos to PGA for recognizing how much all of you bring to the game. Awesome Event!

The pros are pros, but you’re way more fun to watch and you’re relatable. Seeing you and the other content creators joke around and even just say little things the pros don’t is 1000% more entertaining, even if (probably especially because) you aren’t perfect at golf. Golf could be a stingy game that possibly would have disappeared with the next generation, but you’re making it accessible and entertaining. Not just keeping the game alive, but making it bigger than ever

This is my favorite video of yours I've ever seen. You have no idea how much it means to people like me to see your vulnerability, and your failure in front of so many people and on camera, and you are still showing appreciation. It matters because people like me who gave up golf long ago because they got too frustrated and too upset and too angry... now know that we are not alone. That matters. And it matters to know how many people care so much about this sport that they beat themselves up, and get really hard on themselves, but that that is a shared experience of golf. And that is something you are showing everybody right now, and I really, really appreciate it. Thank you..

If you ever switched gears to just competitive stroke play golf there’s no telling how far you’d go. But I think it’s pretty awesome you don’t have to and can keep having fun and still playing high quality golf. KEEP IT UP GUYS. Any logical person who wants to elevate the sport and encourage it's audience to grow knows how much you're doing for the game. I think there's far more pros out there that appreciate what you're doing than you think. Look at who showed up to watch/announce/support. You got people like Phil, Bryson, Joel and the likes in your conner. In no way is something like this replacing a PGA tour event, but its a beautiful compliment to it. For me, what's so cool is there were about 10 players on this list of 16 that I was genuinely rooting for because I know who they are, what they're like and what they stand for. I can't say that when 150 PGA pros tee it up on a Thursday. What ya'll are doing enables the connection to the person you're rooting for. We don't get much of that with pro athletes.

What an experience, thanks for the BTS. It’s cool to see how you dealt with this pressure and hear your mindset. You’re a good guy, better golfer, and I commend you for praying or mentioning it on camera. Pretty cool brother!

Blake is seriously the most positive dude I’ve ever seen. No matter how he plays, no matter how many times he’s played elite golf courses, he always always has something positive to say about his round or the course. Couldn’t have picked a better caddy.

I want Blake to caddy for me. What a guy! As a golfer that gets stuck in his head a lot... I would love to have even an ounce of his positivity. Loved every second of this video!

Same thing that anyone who has played any competitive golf has been through. You held your head up and finished strong and that is all that can be expected. Come back stronger next year!

One bad hole doesn’t define you. You played amazing no matter what score you got. All these haters couldn’t even get close to the skill you have. Keep grinding Garrett

G 🐀. Keep your head up. Ive been here from the very beginning of your journey. You Matt Tig and Steve in your parents basement would never thought you guys be where your at now, all your hard work is paying off, your going down as a goat. You helped growing the game of golf.

new to your channel. also pretty new to golf. one thing i loved here was you not cutting out the raw emotion. like the fanboying you left in there because that’s what i like to see. makes me feel good at home watching, imaging the feeling your getting when i get on the course. great video and good job man

Garett, you are a good golfer. And you need to be present in your body and not present in your mind. Your everyday videos and golf is when you can be in your head about shots and think. When it comes to tournaments your mind shuts off and your body takes over. Don’t complicate it. If you wanted to you could tee up right now and shoot a competitive round in a PGA event. You know it and we all see it. You got it.

I would say as probably the most popular content creator at this event, you had the most pressure on you. That being said, I think you did great. Love your swing and still trying to make the game look as easy and cool as you do.

I played some fairly high tier sports years ago, a big stage is always intimidating and things can feel out of your control. The best thing is familiarity with the pressure and energy and nerves, you did a great job and I i hope you get to compete in more tournaments!!
