I was global at CSGO and got my rank in the first week of release. Got placed 1.6k elo, it was a crazy grind with braindead players as a solo just to get to 15k.

I think the rating system in CS2 just mostly shows you how much you have played its pretty ez to go up ranks if you just play a lot. Yhea your skill does help speed it up but I get in high rank lobbies with people that can't play but also see people with insane skills that probably just don't play a lot and would be a lot higher. I still love the game and always play for fun :)

I’m currently 13k but after initial calibration games I was put in 1.5k bracket so yeah, it’s where most will start their climb I believe(several friends got the same ~1.5k rank initially)

It's so pathetic how "high" level match making on CS2 is just blatant cheaters in the majority of games. In CS:GO at times it was bad but towards the end it kinda calmed down and seeing blatant cheaters in Global was maybe 1/15 games, in CS2 at 15k+ its blatant cheaters in 50% of matches.
