if we're doing more nostalgia games for this channel, I highly recommend revisiting Cult of the Lamb! It's had a couple of updates since first featured on the channel back in 2022 (most recent one was back in January of this year) and a bunch of interesting things have been added, especially after you defeat the final boss! edit: there's also going to be another new update in August, adding local co-op among other new things!

Inside and Limbo are games that are praised for great story, but to me they excel at something else: Concept. Making an idea, a sensation, a concept into a whole foundation of the game. In this game you keep going inside, deeper in, all the time, and it feels opressive. You can come up with any story, but what you need to ficus on and sink in is the atmosphere itself

It seems very universal that this game has stuck very much with everyone who played it, me included. It's one of the most atmospheric gaming experiences I've had. The area with the pulses is the highlight of the game for me. When the OST starts coming in synced with the pulses it's just one of the most memorable parts of any game I've ever played. Very fun to watch other people play it as well!

Finally a game that didn't had Lore dump/exposition, No unskippable cutscenes, No annoying dialogues, No meta commentary, No annoying characters, No 4th wall breaking jokes, and just pure Gameplay and Immersion.

Thing is, all of that makes the game fairly short. That's why it's often used. But, not saying this is bad here, the lack of all of that is great!

I remember playing F.E.A.R. 2 and enjoying the horror. Then my dad played and he accidently looked away everytime there was a ghost event. Dude barely knew it was a ghost game for the longest time.

Ooo nostalgia games! “Fran Bow” and “Little Misfortune” are great old point and click horror games. They don’t seem like horror games at first but once the story gets going , you’ll see the horror aspect 😂 highly recommend “Little Misfortune” because it’s so comedic

Well its not a old game, but if you someday want to try something deffiend is there Scene investigators. You do have to read alot, but the stories are interesting. Its not a jumpscard game in any way, but it do contain dark subject, some might find triggering. Its a puzzle game, where you can play everything, or one scenario... And I am very bad at making it sound interesting at all.😅
