This mode just further proves to me that what I like about Mercy is her movement and her staff, and if her utility got changed I wouldn't really mind too much. I didn't really care about rez being gone and damage boost being different, but I kind of hated the ult. If hypothetically speaking dmg boost and rez got a complete overhaul I can't say I'd mind too much. Meanwhile, even though I know it probably won't happen, I still want the old GA cooldown back...

Most Mercy players enjoy her movement and her staff most and wouldn't mind other things being changed tbh and this mode is definitely good proof of it For myself it's because Mercy's movement is engaging and the way her staff works allows you to analyze the game and sort of play chess in your brain to know when and where is best to assist your team and let them know of incoming threats. I could still do that in this mode and then also make an impact which I adored

I’ve been loving this version of Mercy. I would honestly be ok if they replaced rez with something similar to this. Maybe exploding a soul can give AOE healing for allies and a debuff to enemies.

rez being replaced by detonation was a little hard to get used to at first bc i’m so used to rez, but it’s so satisfying to finish off kills with it 🤭 i honestly wouldn’t be mad if they actually replace rez with this

Yeaaaahhhhhhh being SO reliant on teammates even in valk despite having unlimited ammo feels so wonky when everyone else can shoot and heal

I honestly love the damage boost change! Not only does it weaken damage boost at long range which helps with the problem where Mercy's would just boost someone across the map, it also makes me feel like my damage boost isn't completely wasted because it radiates damage to people near my target regardless of whether they're hitting their shots or not. It actually gives assured value if you're willing to make risky plays and be nearer the fight as Mercy, I love that change.

I genuinely feel like this is an experiment for them. People have been complaining about Resurrection and Valkyrie for YEARS now and these replacements are very cool. Vengeance might be a little... overtuned 😅 but the soul explosion is a genuinely fun idea that could work as a more useful E than rez most of the time.

Tbh I like the Rez change only because of how many Tracers it killed in this video, literally hate her so much. Revenge (Valk) is really fun and cool too because like it’s aggressive Mercy. Does it heal teammates when you hit them or does it just damage enemies? I’ve been really only activating it like I would Valk (in situations when my team would need a catch up on support or to help enable everyone, but if it’s not at all supportive I might as well start using it to start a team fight or something…

You actually do heal and damage boost in Valk but it's an aura instead of beams (and it's kinda hard to tell who is being impacted by it/what the range is)

Am bad at Mercy but she was super fun in this mode especially her ult wonder if they can balance it for the normal games. Sombra was also good playing closer to your team Instead of playing your own adventure. The rest off the changes was kinda mee for me.

For some reason when allies are dead, you can't fly to them but when enemies are dead, you can fly to those Not sure if intentional or not but it's kinda annoying
