@@wokeupro i bought 2k23 when i upgraded to ps5 and hadnt bought 2k since 20... i played 23 for 20 hrs before realising i will only be able to make 1 build unless i put 100+ hours in every build, not to mention the actual gameplay sucks... AI are dumb and do the same movements theyve been doing since 2k14 2k25 a moneygrab and all major sport games are really failing their audiences .. i expect a next gen experience when i pay top dollar for a next gen game. As someone whose bought 2k consistently spending hundreds of dollars on the game. It’s litteraly not worth it to the base player. Aside from Myplayer its pretty much 100% copy and past from previous game. The park consistantly has gotten worse every year since 18. As a game who spends billions yearly this shouldn’t be a problem, but it is. Myteam is just another cash grab mode that has had no significance since maybe 17-18. (Personally had fun on 20 myteam). Again to a base player who doesn’t have hours to spend on a game, 2k is not worth the money, effort or time. Yes there is no fun counterpart to 2k yet but until we absolutely stop spending money on these games nothing will change… They will continue to feed off the rich (creators/dedicated players) and burry the poor (Basic player base)

This year is the definition of a new edition: • There is an entirely new dribbling engine. • ProPlay is actually fully used and makes players feel and act like themselves more than ever. • The game arguably looks better than it ever has before. • The contest system actually resembles real life and makes shots that haven't been possible for a long time possible. 2K releases every year, so there will never be a night and day difference between 2Ks from year to year. However, this is the one year you can't really say it's a copy-paste. I'd argue you can't ever say that, but I digress. If you actually put hours and hours into every installment, you should be the first person to notice how different each game is from the last, for better or worst.

After I find a good base roster I always tweak it to perfection. Then I make 10 consecutive draft classes with 60+ real players for each. Then I can play 10 consecutive seasons with 100% real rosters and rookies, user controlling ALL the teams so I can sign and trade the 100% real life transactions. Then i upload a scenario for each season thats 100% perfect. Last year was 2010-2020 and you never see a fake player. Someone colab with me so I can done faster and we can all use the pristine scenarios

They have Adam Silver and Ronnie 2K lol. Someone even made a solid Andrew Bynum… I’m excited!!! They also made John Wall (young) , Blake, Ibaka, Iggy and Dragic… 2K25 starting off hot for this!

Most of the player models are borderline uncanny valley. The gameplay feel and look realistic gotta give 2k their props they cooked this year. Playing the cpu is actually a challenge now. We just need better shot meters and better shot contest

It's kind of like NBA Live with how shooting is. If you're open and think you timed the shot perfectly, it's not going in because of that shot preference thing with the whole release, push, set-point, and jump thing from 2K24 being to inconsistent with how it was in 2K24. Hell, the shot feedback is like 2K18 with how inconsistent everything is compared to 2K24. I don't think a custom slider set is going to be a feature that I'm going to use this year as I went back to All-Star because of the new shot preference with how shots are graded.

Actually it is there, I think they just didn't finish it before launch. When you run out of stamina the controller vibrates like crazy, so the function is there. Also no adaptive triggers which are there on the PS5 version.

I’m turning 30 in a week. It’s crazy how differently the graphics was when I was growing up. I didn’t even know the graphics was so off growing up I thought it look decent. It will always have the same feel as it did when I was kid. I like the fact that these new 2ks feel more like ESPN basketball (2k4) that was the best one. And these kids don’t understand how good 2k4 was and how now it’s going back to that.

I play 2K mainly for Play Now 5-on-5 play. I have never cared for Career or Ultimate Team modes in sports games. Occasionally I may pick a team and play a season. But in terms of the on court play this year, I am enjoying it more than I ever have for the series.

2K25 is 100% an improvement over several of the previous years. The Rhythm Shooting is the best addition the franchise has seen in easily a decade! It's also nice that we're finally hitting layups and jump shots in peoples faces! Nothing worse than playing the previous 2K's and if you were defended you basically had a 0 percent chance of making a shot despite the fact that in the REAL NBA they make contested shots all game long! I'm still mad that they've refused to address the 500 millisecond delay however! I'm also completely confused as to why 2K is the only gaming franchise that legit refuses to add any sort of ping or connection bar so we can easily tell if it's us lagging, or the servers lagging. For YEARS AND YEARS this delay has plagued 2K and for all these years 2K and everyone else would try to blame our internet connections which was them just passing off blame! I know so many people that had perfectly good internet plans that went out and upgraded their modem, their router, their bandwidth etc. all for them to STILL lag just as hard on 2k! The problem has NEVER BEEN WITH OUR INTERNET! It's been with 2K and their servers this entire time! These days I've been starting to read that it's not even lag. It's just input delay that's coded into the system (apparently to try and slow down the cheaters) which ends up ruining it for all of us that don't cheat! No other game that requires an internet connection lags as bad as 2K does! None! I've been gaming for 30 + years and 2K is the only game I've played that has the same lag/input lag (WHATEVER THE HELL YOU WANNA CALL IT) for well over a decade and absolutely NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO STOP IT!

Imagine like playing 2K since 2K9, then 4 year gap due to absence of next gen PC version and boom - 60 bucks PC next gen. And it does not launch on my Ryzen 5600X, RTX 3080 and 32 GB RAM. The game could not compilate shaders and just crashes without any errors. It is fucking insane, I've wasted 3 days trying to solve that mystery and no, I did not taste 2K basketball since 2020. 60 bucks gameplay by the way!

I honestly haven’t been bothered to buy one of these games since NBA2K18. I’ve never been interested in the MyPlayer or career mode or playing online so VC means nfn to me anyway. I just like taking on a team in franchise mode and playing through the seasons. Outside of the online functionality I just don’t see any value to buying what is essentially the same game over and over. Only thing I miss is the roster updates but I’m not putting down $70 for that..
