The single King Cobra F8 single length irons changed my whole game. Playing with standard irons, I could never get consistent. I live in Florida where everybody and their brother play golf all year round, and no matter who I play a game with, they are consistent, except me, so it seems. That's kind of why I want to switch as well. My game has improved since I started 2 years ago and I still score 120-130. I 1 or 2 putt most of the time, and I do decent on wedges, but I just get too much misses on my full swing with irons

Just bought OL Cobra AeroJets 5-GP with regular shafts. I’m 65 years old and wanted more consistency on approach shits. Took them to the range and played our par 3 today. Most holes were 100-130 yards. The short irons are magical. Stuck 4 tee shots and came away with 2 birdies. I’m not comfortable with the 5 and 6 irons yet, but will give them a chance. Also, I moved the ball up my stance a bit..and then started pounding flags. They seem 1/2 to a club longer than my current Taylormade. I have a 30 day guarantee..leaning toward keeping them and adding a 7 hybrid to replace my current 4-iron.

I have been playing one length for approximately one year and have no plans to return to standard or variable length clubs. I started out with Cobra F8 one length irons, hybrids and wedges at 37 inches. Like you, I could not get use to the longer wedges so I went back to my Cleveland CBX wedges, but I had them reshafted all to 35.5 inches. I recently took it one step further, which you might say is getting out there, and changed to a single length all hybrid iron set at 37.5 inches plus the 35.5 inch Cleveland CBX wedges. These were fitted and built by a local club builder using Iwin single length hybrid heads and graphite shafts. This most recent change to all one length hybrids is working great for me! Several of my playing partners have commented on the consistency, accuracy and distance I am now getting, especially in the mud and cold of the winter golf season! The real one length advantage to me is one setup plus one ball position plus one swing yields much greater consistency hitting good shots! My scores and handicap are much better since going to one length plus the game is so much simpler and fun to play!

I've been playing the OL for a year. I had the same issue with the 5i and 6i, but then I've never really been strong with a 5i so I went to a std length F9 5H and 4H which filled the gapping nicely. My set runs from 6i - GW in the F9s. I use a Callaway MD4 54/10 S-grind and 58/8 C-grind, and a Cleveland Smart Sole S (also 58) for heavy rough and soft sand. The OL wedges don't really bother me since my PW can cover 80 - 122 yds. depending upon how I swing it. GW from 70 - 110 yds. The MD4 54 covers from 40 - 90. The 58 wedges from 20 to 75. Club used depends upon conditions.

Honestly, being somewhat of a traditionalist I haven’t been super open to the idea. Recently I had a chance to hit these (Cobra SpeedZone One Length) and I was amazed how consistent you become when you hit a few. I’m probably 30 holes deep in them, I have had at least 70% fewer fat shots. I’m a mid handicap hack so sometimes I can suck it up big time. The idea of having ONE swing and just lock that one in makes so much sense to me. It’s almost hard to believe it took until now to come to fruition. My shots were arcing much higher, which if any cares I can try to explain why, and still hitting their targets despite looking like it was going to come up short.

I just got a set of Cobra F Max one lengths (6-PW). They are my first new irons since 1988! My first full game with them posted my best ever score! (40 on 9 hole course.) Looking forward to playing more rounds and see if the improvement continues!

I played the F7 last year don’t get to play many round probably played ten rounds but my One Length iron are the length of a wedge. I love them I am very consistent with these irons I also use xl jumbo max grips with a ten finger palm grip. I’m not long by any means I don’t have a ghin card but I’m around a 10 handicap but with the amount I play I would highly recommend the concept. Happy New Year!!!

Same here. I am using the EQ1-NX Single length irons from 6-GW . On the other side I use a SW and LW with a variable length. I feel much more comfortable with a much shorter wedge for those short game shots.

I have been playing a second hand set of one length for about 15 months. I switched mainly to help my back and am not disappointed I would not switch back to variable. I also have a one length hybrid but not able to launch it high, will have a lesson at some stage

Switched to SL this year too and love them. Using the Sterling Irons and go 5 iron to LW. Love the longer wedges. Also noticed a big improvement on half shots. Makes it much easier to play when they are all the same length. Looking forward to the shaft improvements that will help the gapping and flight characteristics in the next couple of years.

imxploring Late response, but I just got into OL myself. The original King Forged set. I am 4 rounds in with them, and I am noticing that issue. My consistency has never been better, but my yardage on my 4/5 and 7/8 are identical as per Arccos. Any suggestions or tips as to what you did?

@@phynamite9 Consistency was the biggest plus. I have the Cobra F7s (not the forged) OL. Lofts are nicely spaced. As for gapping.... just a lot of time at the range getting my yardages down. I did notice more height as well so I had to allow for less roll as well. The great part is when I'm hitting to the green... on a soft surface I'm sticking it! I do find I'm fixing a lot more ball marks! Take some time and get the feel for your shots.

thank you sir .. bought a set last fall in prep. for a new golf season with new clubs. Chose one length Cobra, King F9 and am loving them! Trying to get used to the longer length on 8.9.p and g. I think practice at the range will help. However I am now getting 150 yards with my 9 iron. Previously unheard of. I'm a lot more consistent, no longer drawing my irons, more greens in regulation!! Bought 4 and 5 cobra hybrids ..Also loving my new Speedzone driver and 3 wood. The shafts on my woods are shorter than other brands but I have better control and I am now calling them fairway finders! all I can say is WOW .. loving the results

I got a set of OL from Gigagolf because I wanted a cheap set to try. Definitely more consistent but the wedges take time to get used to. I love how I hit my 4,5,6 irons. Also not to mention they are custom fit to me so I am alot more confident with OL than I am with a standard set.

I have played my Pinhawk single length irons for 20 rounds... Awesome consistency. If a miss a shot, I know it was me and not the Lie angle or position on a different club length. This helped me correct some problems I was having and I could fix my swing. Pinhawks were my less expensive than some of the other name brands so it was an easy entry to single length. 4 through PW.

Amexos i have been playing the Pinhawk set for the last 3 years. 14 handicap and 63 years old. Unable to get up the 5 and 4 irons and adopt the 5 and 4 hybrid same length with Good success. Was 18 index before so have dropped by 4 strokes. I am now testing the single length Woods, 3,5,7 same 5 Wood length. Hope to cut 2 or 3 stokes after.

2:35 - I believe you have that backwards. The long irons (3-4-5) need weight added while short irons (8-9-PW) need weight removed compared to a standard variable length set.

No. Every club in the set has the same static weight, same head weight, same shaft weight and, thus, the same swing weight.

@@richdouglas2311 I'm not sure you 2 are on the same page. In a traditional set of irons the 4 iron head is lighter than a PW. So if you were to use those heads to make a set of single length clubs with same swing weight you'd have to add weight to the long iron clubheads and remove some from the short irons clubheads. Swing weight is probably overrated anyway. It's more of a quality control thing.

One length are Fab!!! Started with a cheap 2nd hand set of f7’s. fact... the wedges are weird to start with, but after a bucket of balls and an open mind I now love them. Carry distance didn’t change, peak height increased dramatically. The gap wedge is now the only club I play around the greens, standing more upright makes so much sense on those delicate shots. This year I bought the f9’s, I prefer the look of the f7’s more, but prefer the tech of the f9’s. So now play 5 to PW in the f9’s and GW & SW in the f7’s (the sole is so much smaller and easy to manipulate). I still use a standard length 58 degree wedge. I did try a one length hybrid but didn’t get on with it, not to say I wouldn’t try again thou. My handicap has dropped by 4 shots, most of that is due to confidence of strike and bucket loads of spin produced by the wedges, 100yds out is a plop and stop. I’m not in a position to get custom fitted, but maybe in time I’ll be able to. Once I finish paying for lessons. Give it a go

@@ohsballer hi, getting fitted is very important, but I just didn’t have the money. I worked for a company building golf simulators, so I had free use of all the tech I needed. So whenever we built a sim I would try loads of clubs. You soon get a feel of what shafts you like, then go on eBay. Then practice, smile and enjoy the beautiful game. Play well my friend

I think one length irons can be good for a lot of people, but not necessarily for everyone. I haven't bought a set but have hit them from time to time. I teach single plane (Kirk Junge's Setup 4 Impact) and many of my students have already made the switch to one length, so I have tried some of theirs from a 4 iron all the way through to a pitching wedge (at the range only). I don't recommend them to anyone, but also don't discourage anyone from using them if they believe it helps their game...because for some people it will. What I found was that the shorter 4 and 5 irons had a lower ball flight than my traditional clubs. I was able to play around with my setup and swing to get a higher flight but that kind of defeats the theory of using the same swing with every club. Also the longer 9 iron and wedge shots were a lot higher than usual and more difficult to control the distances. (I'm a 1.5 by the way). Same with fatter grips. I tried them and don't like the feel but I think they are fine for those that like them. So people who are interested should have an open mind and come to their own conclusion by trying them. I would recommend getting same length hybrids for the 4 and possibly the 5 irons to get them high enough to hold the greens though.

I'm a subscriber to Setup 4 Impact and really enjoy Kirk's videos. I had tried Natural Golf for a few years and went to Graves Academy for a week about 15 years ago. I've gotten down to a 3 hndp since I retired and started following 4 Impact more closely. I've always been intrigued with OL but would only want to consider it if I could get my irons matched to my 9i length and hybrids and woods matched to my 7wood length. I also tried the one length hybrid and utility iron which I did not like. 5 iron-PW works well for me 👍 won't be going back to variable length any time soon.

I have been playing one length Cobras for 3 years. Upgraded from F7 to F9. My one lengths are 3h,5h, 6i to gap. I have standard length Driver (Taylormade Twist Face) and a Cobra 4 wood. With the one lengths I am more consistent and hitting each club 10-15 yards farther than my standard set. Love the single ball position and setup. With each iron swing the same it makes it easier to have confidence. Use the hybrids for some of the chipping around the green with great success. My index is down from 19 to 15. Can’t imagine ever going back to standard set.

I have played one length Forged tec blacks with OL hybrids, standard length wedges. The club that has impressed me the most is my radspeed 3 OL hybrid, it is an absolute rocket! I have recently been playing my older, variable length taylormades and found transitioning back and fourth to be no problem.

I'm on my 2nd set of one length. Struggled with longer irons before. I switched in the hope this would change. Fortunately it has improved. I started with F8 steel shafts and switched to F9 graphite shafts for 2020 season. I have already found F9 hybrid One length is much easier to hit than F8 counterpart. I had a set of Pinhawk OL, being a novice at the time I hoped they would help get my swing and set up more consistent. They did work to a fashion, but I don't think they were forgiving enough for a high handicapper. I found them good from PW to 6 but like the presenter found no great change length wise between 6 and 5 irons. I also then struggled going to hybrid and especially woods, as they were substantially longer shafts and totally different stance position etc. I've now got a set of very forgiving Cobra S3 max irons(Pw / 5), 5 Wood and Driver, plus a Wilson 4 hybrid. The variable length through the set helps make the move from long wood to irons less strange so I am playing better and actually improving faster than with the OL's. I still like the concept of OL clubs but think a fitting is essential and you would benefit from OL hybrids/ woods that Cobra are offering. Definitely you need to invest time before and once you've bought as you may be swapping the set up around to suit your experience and game.

I was one of the early adopters to the one length concept and I will NEVER go back to a traditional set. After playing one length clubs, traditional clubs just make no sense in how you have to change postures and position on every club. The consistency that you get from the one length clubs is amazing. It really is one setup and one swing. I know for people who have never tried them before it can be hard to understand how a pitching wedge the length of a 7 iron can still go about the same distance as a traditional PW, but cobra has taken care of that part for you. The loft and head weighting will dictate the distance of the club and Cobra have done a great job of getting the gapping pretty much right on. Trust the clubs is what I always tell people who try out my clubs for the first time. I also tell them to swing as though it is a 7 iron and let the club do the rest. Don't over swing and the rest will take care of itself.

The 2020 forged tec’s are pretty amazing. My ballflight with the long irons is great. I still hit the 4 and 5 irons around 100 ft foot height, not too different from PW. I’ve also gone one length in wedges and my short game is really good now. I’ve been playing one length over the past year. Started with F8 now on to the new forged tecs and have no plans to go back to variable.

Been gaming Cobra f9 s for about 5-6 months. Added consistency for certain. My only qualm is 5 & 6 irons trajectory can use a little help but it’s improving. I actually got used to the wedges pretty quickly. The gapping is close to my variable length clubs. I really think they would help so many golfers

I wondered in the '70's why all my irons were not 5 iron length as that was the length I was most comfortable with. Was fitted for Wishon irons a couple weeks ago. I like them(5I-9I and PW,SW, GW and I had my 64 degree shafted and gripped the same. Yet I could play with almost any clubs as to me only the short game matters. I wanted to have my wedges all the same. Hope to improve 4 shots a round. I was coming from 30 year old Mizuno's.

I tried the Cobra f7's the season after they came out. Got a deal online from someone who tried and gave up after one round. I know have the 3 hybrid (F9) and 4 -P, G, S in the F8's one lengths but maintain a 58* variable length wedge for around the green. Mainly due to not finding a one length Lob wedge yet. Thinking next season I'll search the bay for someone who didn't like the new Radspeed OL's. Biggest thing for me is no time to hit the range anymore so my practice is all on course and the one length makes it so much easier to be consistent with very little practice. Just got to trust it.

PinHawks are by far the best value in Single Length clubs. They've been doing it for a long time and it's all they do. Got my son fitted and set the club heads with Nippon MS Pro Modus3 120 shafts at 37.5 inches. The consistency can't be ignored and once you settle into them you won't go back.

I've been playing Cobra OL (4-PW) for about 9 months now. I would agree with all the comments made in this review. You do have to commit to making the adjustment from the start as the long irons feel short and vice versa. So commitment to your swing ans setup is vital. Ball flights - my long irons come out a bit lower too but dispersion is much improved. I made the switch because I have less time to play and so having one setup seemed to make sense to me. I think I made the right choice. Even though I have played a lot less this year I have taken a shot off my handicap.

good comment on the flight vs dispersion. at the end of the day accuracy is key with irons. Ive not found the lower flight leads to less control as probably striking the ball better so getting more spin/stop

I play the OL RadSpeed 5-GW and have never had such great yardage gapping. They have been absolutely amazing. I think the key is to have a minimum swing speed that allow distance to be generated through the loft and weight properties. I use a 52*/58* snakebites both at 36in to give me a little more touch around the greens. I will never go back to variable length

After 20 years away from golf I thought that the concept was a brilliant idea and thought I’d take a gamble. Found some on eBay, turns out that the factory will ship straight to me here in Australia and at a fraction of the cost of normal retail so took the plunge. Wow!! What a remarkable difference, I’m hooked. After about 8 sessions on a local driving range I find that I’m hitting 9 out of 10 shots clean and straight, something I’ve never achieved before. After 3 rounds of golf I’ve found my one difficulty and that is figuring out how far each club will go. For example, on a par 3, dropped it short of the green, no problem, club up next time, then chipped it over the green, doh, and did it again then finally chipped on, two putted and wrote down a very sad 6, 3 over par on the first hole. Again, if that’s my biggest problem then my life is kind of blessed lol. Horrid score but no, I’m impressed. Each shot was clean and straight but either too big or too little. Figure that out and a par is probable and this is how each of the rounds has gone so far. Slowly closing in on which club and how strong to hit. I added the Golf Pad app and the Golf Pad Links to the ends of my clubs to get an accurate read and history on what I’m doing and hopefully this will let me judge my clubs better. I know that I don’t have enough data to show anything implicitly yet and sadly, due to my wife being struck down with leukaemia 6 months back which she is still fighting tooth and nail with a bone marrow biopsy coming in Feb 2020, any and all prayers for her healing are gratefully accepted and desired please and thank you, I have something in my golf that I’ve never had before, Confidence. Confidence that not only is it possible for me to play reasonable golf, ie not embarrass myself lol, but that with practice and understanding I believe that I can and will get better at this game so, watch out Tiger, there’s a 58 year old Aussie out there who’s getting ready to challenge you and defeat you any and every day in ahh, umm woodworking maybe ::) Long story short, these clubs have given me confidence that I’ve not had before and I would recommend them to anyone, well worth a shot. I just added the cobra utility 2/3 to my wishon one lengths, my 5 topped out about 170, and this new club is giving me a 180/190.(set at 19.5) good as a driving iron too. I had one roll out to 220 today nearly as far as my driver and much straighter.

I game a set of F8 OL (3h, 5i-GW) my gapping is perfect through these clubs (exactly 12 yds between each club). People that have the gapping issues I would have to say make sure your swing and ball position is the same every time and you shouldn’t have the issue. Only OL I can’t play are the SW and LW I need those shorter for my game. On the flip side the hybrid is AMAZING. These have improved my game by a mile.

Hi, I made one lenght on iron 5,6and7. Just use my old Callaway x-13, shorted shafts and lead weaghted to exact swing weight. So just start play and range practice, workt fine. As you say, short iron I see no good sides play those on longer shafts, short shaft give me more safe and feeling. Johnny

I have one length through Gap. Use normal clubs for all my wedges beyond that. 3 years now - greatly improved my game. If you are a high handicapper to start (as I was 3 years ago) the benefit is immediate - it was for me. Maybe low handicappers would need to adjust to them imo.

My question is this, if I already have great gapping and consistency with 7-LW with full swings and use a hybrid for 4+5, what would be the reason for me to switch? My only issue is stock 6 and 7 feel too long as my wrist to floor needs my 7i to be 36.5, but what is the benifit of going SL over just cutting everything a bit?

I have been back and forth from single length to variable length. I actually like the one length better. My issues with one length are 1. Sand wedge as you mentioned I tend to grip down on shots so I use a a shorter sand wedge with the 1 inch longer grip installed. 2. Hybrids are easy to hit but I tend to hook these more often than the irons. Currently using hybrids that are 1.25 inches longer than the irons. My driver & 3 wood are 47 and 43 inches.

I have the Cobra F7 one lenght irons 4 thru aw in regular flex. I'm an 8.8 handicap on the Ginn system. I'm 75 yrs old with bad legs. Counterdictory, from the very beginning the one lenght has been the answer. Major consistent because it takes the stress of worrying about setup and swing. I think of everything as a 7 iron that depending on the loft hits further and shorter. I highly recommend one lenght irons. I do not recommend a mix match of one lenght and regular. That is counter productive.

This is my forth year playing one lenght irons. I have found my best results with clubs sand through 6 iron 7 iron lenght. Then 5 4 and 3 iron at 6 iron lenght. Seems to help with gapping on long irons.

I have been using the cobra F8 irons for two years , I have only been playing for 3 years and used a used set of regular Wilson clubs for my first year . Always had trouble with the long irons . Since going to the only length clubs my game has improved. Yes maybe these irons might hit a slight shorter the the normal long irons but it’s really no big deal . In short I love them and I know Cobra are making improvements to this concept so I may even buy another set in a couple years .

Dropped my Lynx irons off at the shop today to get adjusted to one length and Jumbomax medium grips ... about $700 cheaper than springing for a new set of Cobras. Maybe next year!

I've got 5-gap wedge f7s. I'm hitting the 5 thru 9 well, though struggle with the 2 wedges and I feel they don't blend well with my existing sand and lob wedge. I also initially struggled with the longer irons as I was trying to hit them too hard, though once I concentrated on hitting them all consistently at the same tempo, I found my shot consistency really improved alot. Overall I would recommend these one length, particularly to anyone who struggles with longer irons

I found that practicing at the range is where the most benefits came. Then I took that knowledge to the course. Same address, same swing, and same tempo.

I have a set of F9’s 6i - Wedges (PW,GW,SW,Lob), 3h, 4h, 5h. The lob wedge is a cobra king versatile wedge which I spec to fit the set. The stock spec is a good fit for me, so I went with that. I just changed the grips. The clubs are great, I like the acoustics, the feel, and the ball flight. Gapping is known to be tighter but I went with the 3-5 hybrids so I don’t really have that issue. I have read that some people say they lost ten yards, I personally haven’t had that, I have seen a video of someone hitting a OL 5i 235 yards so if you have the swing and the ability OL won’t hold you back. (Sadly it wasn’t me hitting it 235 yards) I can honestly say I’m having a lot of fun using these clubs. I’d say the hybrids, 6i and GW are my favourite clubs.

I think I would do 7-3 iron one length and then traditional length in the rest of the irons and wedges. Interesting to see if that would help my longer game.

So I bought a used set off eBay. I paid $200 for F7. I really loved them and ended up selling them and buying a new set. But I have one length in G - 5 iron. And the cobra 3wd and driver. But I have the Taylormade made GAPR hybrids. I really love those.

yes... but the wrong way! it went up from 8.8 to 9.8. however would put that down to very poor short game and some poor course management/decision making. Iron play definitely become more consistent over the season

I now have single length irons. However mine are not setup off a standard 7 iron length. Due to different personal heights I believe you need to research all same length clubs. Mine are setup off a measurement from wrist to floor/ground surface.

It's important to get fitted for irons. The gapping problem he described is absolutely true if clubs aren't adjusted for you. Lofts may have to be adjusted to get gapping right for your swing.

I can appreciate the value of putting the same swing and ball stance on every club. However, I would use a longer shaft for long and mid irons and a shorter one for short irons and wedges.

I hit them years ago when they first came out and liked the consistency. However, I'm going to try only 4-PW one-length with variable length with Gap, SW, and LOB. During the Players Championship Rory M. mentioned in the rough you can generate more speed with one-length.

This is awesome Mike! I just got one length from 5-P and am super excited for next season. They make sense and I hit them well enough so why not? However I don’t quite agree with the one set up and swing. With that being said I do not believe one length irons will keep you from playing any type of “feel” shot. Just takes a little bit longer to get used to what those feel shots are. Really cool to see that you got on well with them 👍🏼

interesting comment on the set up/swing. I think if you are a feel player then you can definitely still manipulate them but if trying to gain more consistency is your goal then keeping everything the same can only help

I have the OL set, SW-6I plus OL Hybrid and the biggest issue I have found was the short game, its harder for me to chip with the longer SW or PW. I had to put a standard SW back in the bag just for chipping. other then that I really like my set. I'm still getting use o my longer Irons 7I and 6I .

Been using F7 OL Did switch to variable (shorter) wedges G, S and L. Notice Bryson seems to grip down a lot on his wedge shots, so I figured why not just use the shorter wedges. Right now, 4 OL hybrid, 6-PW OL. Dropped the 5 since about the same as the 6. One less club.

I made the switch just over two years ago. I have gamed f7, F8, F9 and just got the new forged tec clubs. If you want to maximize practice time, grab any club and you are practicing every club. Simplify the swing on the course and make it much easier to “get it back” when things are t going right. Having a consistent setup and posture would make 90% of the average golfers better. Period.

I've been playing one length irons this year (71+ rounds). The reason for this change is due to a lower back issue which caused pain having to bend over at address. The one length clubs help relieve that problem. The Cobra F9's that I have did take a bit of time to get use to the clubs but it is worth the cost because I don't think I would be playing golf if I didn't have them!

I've had my F8s for coming up 2 years soon. I've been on +2 to 4 the last 20 years but dont play as much with a family, so gave them a go. I have 4-PW. I found I was hitting then 10m further straight away easy. Stock PW 125m, but I could bang in 135+ if I was feeling it. Problem was my gapping in my wedges was out. My 48° wedge goes 110m so it left a big hole in between. I also found I struggled for height with my 4 iron, so I'd drop it out to play 5 wedges! PW, 48°,52°,56°,60°. I also nearly lost a finger on a work accident and lost strength in my left hand grip. I imported a set of large jumbomax grips and fitted them just to hold the club. I didnt lose any distance, but find the added weight/size on the wedges affected the range of shots I could play but mostly the feel. Anyway overall these clubs have been pretty good. I miss hitting high long irons, but it evened itself out by being able to hit longer mid/short irons. I have ordered the new Forged Tec Variable Length. Getting good numbers off the machine, and looking forward to more shot shaping.

These are great irons. I own the F9s and as the review says, it gives has more consistency. Think of lining up a 7 iron every time you line up. The club's have about a 15 yard gap in between. Great clubs and good review.

Been using OL irons for about 7 months. Love the high irons and wedges. Inconsistent with the long irons, but I was always not good with those so I went with variable length hybrids. Although I only use 7 iron-gw, don't think I can go back to variables on those

I have a set of one length golf clubs, but I don't use them. If you've played even a couple of years, you already have a feel for gap length vs. 7 iron. You will have to adjust your whole mind set for what club you're using. They are all the same length, so all you have to do is add a little extra shaft lean and your 110 yard pitching wedge is now a 135 yard 8 iron flying over the green. The biggest problem I had was using the correct club. They really need to have the club number on the face (ala Big Bertha irons), because you will be stopping half way thru your swing to check if you have the right club. Sounds silly, but I often second guessed if I had pulled the right club. I am going to put Jumbo Max grips on them just to see how it goes.

I am a beginner again? Picked up and dropped the game a few times over the years do a nagging slice. Never had any consistency with shots except with 7, 8 and 9 irons. I started to wonder why they don't make a driver a bit shorter so its not so different from my easier to hit irons... I didn't even know "one length" was a thing until today (now I get all the Bryson chit chat). I think its a great idea and would love the chance to try a set... those cobras are pricey though for someone getting back in the game. Apparently Tommy Armour made a set back in the day... im off the garage sales! Cheers

Have you tried jumbo max grips? Get some tennis grip tape from sports direct to test jumbo grips. It makes your driver feel like a weapon.

for years I played to and 8 handicap, after 5 rounds I short a 4 under par off the stick, needless to say the handicapper cut me back a few. at 75 I am regularly shooting better than my age, eagles are now common every round. One Iron Golf means the same swing for every shot.............brilliant.....I started at 8 years old working for a Pro, have had 2 aces and 61 eagles, I also regularly drive up to 300M

I tried the F8's and the F9's OL and just couldn't get along with them. I really wanted to like them and I had the same problem with the 5i and 6i as (it seems) everyone else. Same distance with both. After testing them both I came way with 3 things. The overall look of the f7's, f8's and f9's are not all that good looking of an iron (in my opinion and the forged tec look soooo much better) and the positives about using a 7 iron length with all my irons did not equate to any better results. And lastly, there is something about the 5 and 6 iron that has not been perfected. Everyone I know has had the same problem with gapping with these 2 irons. I also felt very limited on partial shots and punch shots. Its not as easy as it is with gripping down and putting the ball in the back of your stance on a variable length iron in my opinion. I don't need anything "limiting" anything more in my game. haha I love the idea of the use of OL irons and I like being any different than what others have in their bags, but again they just didn't result in a big enough benefit to keep them in the bag. To each, their own though.

Great content…SL increased the enjoyment of the game for me, 5 times. If I don’t play for a few weeks, I can pick up pretty much where I left off. Don’t they addd weight to the long irons and take it away from the short irons? And reverse with loft, lower loft long iron, higher loft short iron? My SL sand iron feels ultra light, to me? I play a VL SW, SL 6-PW, SL 5 and 4 hybrid. The hybrids are amazing - looks like a kids club(s), play like a cheating club(s)

this is definitely an issue and one that probably stops more people from trying OL. a demo set programme would be good but probably too expensive for Cobra to implement

I love mine, it takes the difficulty of all the setting up different for your 6/5/4 out of your head. You just get good at the one 7 iron set up and swing and do it every time. I still use short wedges though, i their best for pw to 5/4

I've played single length since 2015. One tip I'd share is when purchasing I'd go one iron less than your current longest iron. For example if your current longest iron is a 4 iron and you hit it well then stop at 5 iron with single length. The lofts are a bit stronger and at 7 iron length you just lose too much speed. Then go standard length hybrids after that.

I switched all mine to a 1 iron length. I can't hit anything from gap iron up, but my sand wedge goes 230 yards.
