It’s the most beautiful golf course I’ve ever seen. Seen some tournaments there, but never had the pleasure of playing it yet. The Par 3 15th from the back tee is one of the gnarliest tee shots I’ve ever seen. Long as shit, and normally into the wind coming from the sea. Green looks like a postage stamp from up there.

Oh, funny about your putting technique Luke! That is EXACTLY how I have been putting my whole life. I just see the imaginary line in my head. (a white line that is the same width as the hole.) I have never tried to find specific points/marks etc on the green that I want to aim at and put over etc.

I live 40mins from there and its one of the best courses in Europe not just Spain. One of the great advantages of being a Pro with the Spanish Federation is that we are allowed to come down there once a year and play for free :) Sotogrande golf on the other side of the road is also an amazing track. Unlucky you guys couldnt play it from the backtees because its a whole different course.

Not too far out with the "spanish oak" guess there Luke. The trees are commonly called cork oak and are found mostly on the Iberian peninsula. Cork is harvested from the bark of these trees, and if you ever buy black label iberian ham, the pigs will usually have eaten a healthy amount of acorns from these trees.

A1 is for tough cuts of meat. Cheaper cuts of meat or overcooked steaks. It’s been a while but I did enjoy A1 cause it changes up the flavour profile of the meal. Just beef can get monotonous at times.
