I Played Shining Sarcophagus At Locals | Deck Profile

Reading the cards for the first time while sleeving the deck 10 minutes before locals isn't the best idea but it worked out! NOTE: This is was put together in a few minutes and is far from optimized (plus only had 1 copy of Future Silence) But it won a lot of matches and was very fun to play. Disclaimer! A lot of my wins came down from opponents not knowing how to interact with the deck, this definitely gives the deck an advantage early in its life cycle. Can you try this combo: Magician soul sending pharaonic advent to grave. Summon gadget trio and search and activate shining sarcophagus and add turn silence. Activate turn silence and target magician souls. Xyz summon dugares and special summon pharaonic advent. Activate wanted seeker or diabel witch and add original sinful spoil. Activate to special summon flamvell guard.. if you have apophis then your set if not find a way to link summon verte anaconda and use fusion deployment to summon dm OR link summon silhouette magician and set apophis. Now activate pharaonic advent and set tyrant throes. On opponents turn activate tyrant throes by tributing either apophis, dm, flamvell guard. In toybox engine summoning dugares is easier coz you can have 2 level 4 easily or can search a normal monster. With white woods, summoning pharaonic is easier because of whisper of sinful spoil. And dugares because there are bunch of level 4 as well.. You can evade negation by using whisper of sinful spoil, turn silence, or succesor soul. Broomy and whisper of sinful spoil combo well too. Banished dm wont be a problem anymore. 1 magical hats combos well with apophis and silhoehat since you can send them back to trap zone and reuse. Silhouette magician can destroy back rows and negate multiple cards with apophis (eternal soul) and silhoehat and silhoette magician + diabel fiendess. Going second we have bunch of options like silvera, chaos archfiend, and gandora for board wipes. For consistency i felt like TOP share is underated. Its like 3 copies of every card in your deck. With triple tactics talent its like 9. With magician souls, wanted seeker, soul servant, rcia, dark magicians drawing the out like superpoly, kurikara, feather duster, dark ruler no more. And you can just put 1 copy only of the out.. You can search tyrant throes off the bat too or whatever you need and be consistent.

Top share is very underrated. Tyrant throes lock is hard to pull off before but with the new cards and support its crazy easy.. barrier statue can be negated with hand traps but with tyrant throes they usually need a spell to destroy back row. They cant kaiju, superpoly, or summon effect monsters. You are on advantage coz you can summon dm with magician souls, fusion deployment, eternal soul. You can summon apophis as well. You can combo cosmoqueen the queen of prayer or ancient fairy dragon to get secret village easy by using whispers, dugares, magic defense, or broomy. I felt like going 60 cards in DM is feasible. Cartesia, white woods, toybox, silhouette, diabelstar, shining sarcophagus engine.. toybox you just need 5, diabel 6 including flamvel. I dont think dm needs hand traps coz you can evade being negated now. And going second you can board wipe.. Having fusion deployment and cartesia with hex sealed can give you magia and dark magicians easily.. Level 6 mudragon is easy with white woods. Ritual version is gonna be fun too with white woods since you can synchro level 7 and use downbeat to summon choju and ritual summon any monster.

Or use diviner herald and send choju to grave and summon it with dugares. Silhouette magician is op with apophis and eternal soul. Since barrone and borreload are gone.. dragoon and magia are the strongest omni negate now? Oh you can use magician souls and remove tyrant throes on your terms if your ready to finish the game.. Future silence and top share and dark magicians combo. So you can use super poly on battle phase With dark magicians

I was going to try a Melodious engine since Ostinato resolving means you end on Apollousa + Vortex Dragon before you Normal Summon Gadget But Dragoon really fits the style more because it not getting nuked by Gandora is pretty important

Yha but you more or less don't want to really use the dm since it does nothing but become og dm and ignore gandora effect so unless you want to mix this deck with dm support it just gonna be a big better oh and the mirror force sucks

Hey, I've been playing this deck for months now, I go for a go second build with board breakers because gandora-g is by far the best card and can all you to clean up almost any board when paired with 1-2 board breakers. As for the deck profile, your ratios are mostly correct imo, definitely keep silent warrior at 1 he sucks, run future silence at 3 it is your consistency card that you can play in the draw or standby phase to search your tricolor or any shining sarc monster you need without playing into droll, future silence battle phase effect is ass and is for trolling 9/10 time. Ties of friendship I would run at 1, maybe 2 max It's a searchable card and you don't have enough low level shining sarc monsters to make it really worth it imo, resolving it once should be enough. Definitely bump gandora-g to 3 copies, like you said it is the best card in the archetype pretty much and opening it + shining sarc is nuts because you can just add turn silence to make sure it resolves it's on field effect. Lastly you can add moremarshmallon as a fun 1 of, it's totally cuttable but it does have niche application in helping protect your other cards from battle. Hope you consider my ratios and give them a try. Also try a go second build with board breakers, trust me resolving triple tactic talents + gandora-g is a MAJORRRRRR boost of serotonin

One card I think is super interesting if we go first is “Banquet of Millions” This normal trap lets you banish as much of your extra deck as possible to randomly banish the same number of cards from your opponent’s extra deck until the end phase So, if you just banish your whole extra permanently, the opponent loses access to their entire extra deck for 1 turn. What happens when they pass and it goes back to you? Well you now have a Gandora with 4500 atk

The extra deck isn't as important, but it can be a good resource. The deck loves using the Rank 3 BLS, also with a Tuning engine, you can do a lot with synchro monsters (including summoning Dragoon), also Dis Pater is always live after you Gandora, so there's also that

at 10:20, I wouldn't necessarily call FOA a brick since it can still be utilized to make a Super Poly play if Branded isn't in hand (even more optimal if they have a DARK monster and you discard DM to Fuse into Lubellion, then use his discard effect to fuse into Dragoon. The only card I suspect would be a solid brick would be DM, but we will have that fixed soon in the Infinite forbidden set with Dark Magician the Ebon Sorcerer releasing. Ebon Sorcerer has a unique effect to special summon itself after it is destroyed by card effect if there is a Lvl 5 or higher monster present on the field after it's destruction, afterwhich it will set a spell/trap that mentions "Dark Magician" from Deck to Field. There will be a new "Dark Magic Mirror Force" Card releasing with the following effect: When an opponent's monster declares an attack, or an opponent's monster effect is activated that would destroy a monster(s) on the field, and a monster that mentions "Shining Sarcophagus" is on the field: The first time each monster you control that mentions "Shining Sarcophagus" would be destroyed by battle or card effect for the rest of this turn after this card resolves, it is not destroyed, also destroy as many opponent's Attack Position monsters as possible, then, if you control "Dark Magician", inflict 500 damage to them for each monster destroyed. On it's release, I think you could remove the branded engine to play the DM engine so it runs smoother into your Dragoon plays (Using Secrets of Dark Magic to Fuse Gandora and DM Ebon Sorcerer to Make Dragoon). I'd highly recommend using the Dogmatika Engine as well with Maximus, Ecclesia, 2x Luluwalilith, Granguignol and Punishment to use your extra deck as much as possible without having to summon directly from it. Like Pitching Garura off Nadir Servant to Grab Maximus, Draw 1 from Garura, Banish Garura to Summon Maximus, Maximus Effect to send Luluwalilith and Granguignol to GY (if going 1st). EP use Luluwalilith effect to summon Ecclesia and grab off Punishment to hand. You'd likely have and should have fused into your Dragoon before activating either Ties that Bind and or Nadir Servant to get an intimidating board for your opponent to deal with.

I think the deck is better pure. Simplifying the game state really makes this deck shine ( pun). Silent magician zero, and silent swordsman zero help play through hand traps while you have Shining sarc on field. Also the future silence and turn silence will help you push more of your opponents board or help you establish your board. Droll, imperm, ash, nib are all avoidable honestly. Shifter turns off veiler, ghost ogre, few other things. I think the deck is good and not many people are looking at it and more focused on tenpai

This is a awesome list, I highly recommend the shs engine as it lets you cheese out gear gigant x and search yourself gadget trio without commiting a normal summon early on and can help faciliate some extra bodies for xyz or a synchro omega hand rip as well.

@@MatchieYGO It would mean that you would have to drop Extrav. You can't have spells/traps in the GY to resolve the SHS combo, and Extrav is a dead card if you don't activate it at the start of your main phase. Ultimately though: if you can find a reason not to play Extrav, you really should. Its not a good pot card, and having a stronger search network is generally more important than drawing cards (although its nice to have both if your deck can facilitate it).

Shifter does not need to be banned. GY decks are tio strong to just not have a hard counter especially when decks that use it aren't too strong unless it's full power Kashtira.

I use Dragon Shield Gloss White (Japanese size) for the inner sleeves, the outer sleeves are dragon shield Japanese Clear Matte Outersleeves :) hope this helps

Basically you need to play defense, until you can get Shining Sarc on the field and hope they don't have a way to out it. It's nice that this deck can play Shifter, but I feel like you need to play it with some other engine as well, so you don't immediately scoop if you don't open a way to Sarc. It feels like a worse version of the Horus support. At least Horus can search their Sarc easier. Maybe a Runick variant to slow down the pace, help you draw more and even protect Shining Sarc from backrow hate.

This decks strength is gona come from the non-engine… I don’t think the deck has enough gas to keep up, so you do need to play defensive… all of your points are bang on. However all that being said, it’s a very fun deck to play, and it feels very rewarding when you get everything set up

I was thinking about blind second during the event, gandora is such a good card, my only issue with blind second, is this deck really struggles OTKing… it’s def a grind style of yugioh Finished X-1, matchups were Branded Memento (I forgot) Red dragon (calamities lock) Branded (Shifter is the MVP most of those rounds if I’m honest)

Ties that bind are essentially 3 more copies of gear if you have Sarc on board (in addition, TTB set up an end board with 1 card) it’s very good in theory. The extra deck lock really doesn’t matter because the deck doesn’t play any extenders, you’re trying rob end on a board with Magician and Swordsman… I 100% agree future silence is a 3 of, I just didn’t have access to 2 copies. I put together the list 10 minutes before locals haha.
