So unless I play a murder-hobo (which I have in the past) I can't see myself killing random NPCs, but my first playthrough tend to be more serious. You can play the game however you want, of course. This is just how I like to play.

I regularly turned a whole town against me if a guard said the wrong thing or if a chicken looked at me wrong. There were some tasks I HAD to speed run to avoid getting killed or arrested in that area cos I didn't expect consequences for my murdersprees. Good times 😂

New player here, what mods would you recommend? And would you recommend a first playthrough in vanilla game or with mods?

@tracyracy it's up to you if you want a modded experience. But if I was going to do a first time playing modded play through I would just do USSEP Unofficial Skyrim Special edition patch as it just does all the bug fixes and makes it less glitchy. Now if you want the full glitch of Skyrim playthrough I would do it without mods at all. My reasoning is mods are meant to spice up an experience you already know so if you start too modded you might not be able to enjoy unmodded at all. But it's all up to you. But as for mod types I go for i usually get all children adoptable, invincible companions, dogs expanded, multiple marriages, multiple companions. (I like marrying all my companions and then just exploring like a DnD adventure.) I also like the ones that allow for new houses or building your own cities but I love base building games. Really there is a mod for everyone no matter their preferred play style.

There are mods where you can just hang out and be a normal citizen. EdiT: Actually there are mods for literally everything. Once you're done playing the vanilla game and the dlc several times over then I highly recommend learning how to use mods because it's so addictive. EDIT: Also you did a great job editing these two streams together, I loved it!
