@UteChewbКүн бұрын
And yet Farengar is very tolerant of others who 'practice'. In ESO there's a quest in Morrowind where the local wizard looks down on the alchemist, regarding her as nothing. The opposite of Farengar. I like how Skyrim shows us that people are complex. Even leaders like Ulfric. And the Stormcloaks and Imperials. They all have good reasons for their views and for fighting, so that deciding which path to follow is not obvious.

When carrying armour that you want to use don't forget to equip it or else you'll be running around naked. Potions like poisons can be used to taint your weapon to make them more powerful against enemies, but the effect is only temporary. If you have the Survival Mode option then you're either playing the Special Edition or the Anniversary Edition. In that case the graphics have been enhanced to a small degree as well as a lot of the original bugs been ironed out, including limited in-game memory capacity which used to cause game crashes. Don't forget that you can use the compass at the top of the screen to help find your way to your destinations. You cure poisons and diseases by taking potions that cure any illness. When it comes to armour and weapons, you can continue to upgrade them depending on your smithing expertise. To avoid fatigue and a drop in abilities try to find a bed to sleep. Waiting wont cure fatigue, only sleeping. In the early game beds can be rented at inns. However, once you buy your own property you can obviously use the bed there for free. Properties are available in all cities, but only once you do enough to please the jarls of those cities. BTW: As in real life, stealing can gain you a wanted status. If this happens then all authorities in every city will try to arrest you. However, you can pay off your bounty which will clear your record.

Welcome to Skyrim. The game where you can do so many many things anyway you want too. Enjoying your play through a lot. You are taking the time to listen and understand what is going on, which is appreciated. And yes you can spend all day gathering herbs, or ingredients as they are refered too here. Ingredients are used in potion making.

You can either join the Stormcloak Rebellion or the Imperial Legion. The conflict is a very complicated topic. But the best fun about this game is the modding community. The things you can do with mods is almost limitless!

@LUCYJROBYN think of the game like a sandbox and with mods you can make it whatever you want. Though it can get quite complicated to mod. But the point is to have fun however you approach the game.

@@LUCYJROBYNonce you get used to the game, there's a mod called badly translated. They took the lines, used Google translate 40 times, and used AI to voice those retranslated lines, and it's a hilarious trip. But be used to the game, or you will get easily confused 😂.

One bit of trivia I have for this game is the bows don’t fire a projectile like most games it actually uses the in game physics to throw arrows, you can get a slow time power later on and you can use it to pluck the arrows out of the sky.

@maddogcodm668 I played breath of the wild before I played Skyrim, and people were comparing the two, and couldn't see how Skyrim could be put on par with BotW. Then I played Skyrim and I was like oh,I get it now 😛. I actually prefer Skyrim.

I love watching Skyrim first plays! When Ralof said it's best if we split up, I took him at his word and wandered off into the woods. You're the first player I've watched who did basically the same thing! Most players I've watched will follow him all the way to Riverwood. I'm looking forward to watching the rest of your playthrough :-)

The ambience of the Elder Scrolls game is something else from theme to visual beauty. Sometimes at night, you'll come across norther lights style skies. Its beautiful. Sometimes, I walk from one end of the map to another just because it is relaxing. By the way, commander Lucy, since you like Space games, check out the upcoming game Exodus. Its made by the original devs of Bioware. It was inspired by Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins and Knights of the Old Republic which are all stellar games.

Oh I am VERY excited for Exodus! I think I will make some videos about it soon.

Some things I loved: - Exploring at your own pace - Admiring the environment - Going through most of the dialogue options, and replying to them verbally - Choosing to be a Nord woman - Wanting to help the old lady in Whiterun - Saying "friend!" to the dog in Riverwood Things I hated: - Not giving a coin to poor Lucia - Stealing a horse Overall, a strong 4/5. Loved it and looking forward to more! :)

I love the childlike wonder you bring to your playthrough. This is what gaming should be like. I actually started a playthrough of Skyrim around the same time as your first. Perfect time of year for it. Enjoy!

*So some context* The Elder Scrolls series is set on Nirn, a fictional planet with two moons, Masser and Secunda. The games take place on the continent of Tamriel, which is divided into ten distinct provinces. Each game focuses on a different province, each with its own unique culture, music, fashion, architecture, creatures, and more. For example, Skyrim, the northernmost province, draws heavily from Norse mythology and Scandinavian culture. Everything from it's landscapes, cold climate, and folklore, along with the political system mirrors that of Scandinavia, featuring Jarls who govern their respective holds and Thanes who serve as prominent local figures. *Cyrodiil:* The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is set in Cyrodiil, the central province and heart of Tamriel. Cyrodiil is home to the Imperials, bordering every other province. At its center lies the Imperial City, the political and cultural hub of the empire and for many Tamriel itself. Cyrodill features a high-fantasy setting, with each county influenced by its geography and neighboring cultures. For example, Bruma, in the north near the Skyrim border, adopts elements of Nordic culture. In the southwest, the Gold Coast, which borders Hammerfell, has a more Mediterranean-inspired aesthetic. But the overall tone for Cyrodiil is rooted in classic high fantasy, most colourful game in the series as well. It also has churches inspired by Christianity while Skyrim depicts the Gods closer to that of Norse mythology. *Morrowind:* The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind takes place in the province of Morrowind, situated east of Skyrim. Morrowind is home to the Dunmers (Dark Elves) and has, in my opinion, some of the most unique art direction in gaming. Morrowind combines alien landscapes with influences from African, early Japanese, and Middle Eastern cultures, creating a look that feels like a mix of ancient sci-fi and fantasy, something you’d expect to see in Star Wars or even Dune. It's a stunning location and I'm pretty sure they added a whole Morrowind inspired quest for Skyrim, adding items from the game, such as weapons and armour. Daggerfall & Arena: The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall is set in High Rock, home to the Bretons. Daggerfall leans heavily into a classic medieval fantasy aesthetic inspired by Britain, France, and similar European cultures. The game also includes a slice of Hammerfell, the land of the Redguards. Hammerfell draws on North African and Middle Eastern influences, featuring vast deserts and tropical forests. The first game, The Elder Scrolls: Arena, is set across the entirety of Tamriel. Its map is procedurally generated and absolutely massive. I think it covers like 9.65 million square kilometers. For comparison, Daggerfall’s map is about the size of Great Britain, which is still huge by today’s standards but nothing compared to Arena. There's other provinces as well be these are the ones so far we've visited in the mainline games, Elder Scrolls VI will be set in High Rock, judging off the trailer. Maybe parts of Hammerfell as well but nothing confirmed yet.

Just so you know, 48hrs (game hours) after you steal anything the game automatically will send Hired Thugs after you to "Teach You A lesson" 😅 even if no on saw you. If you search the thugs after you kill them one of the them will have a contract on them. I think their only sent once each playthrough. Have fun and just enjoy 😉
