I'm sensing this might be a popular take on this video,,. It was nice to have someone join in with my own chuckling. I've not noticed her turning up to larf at you playing winter golf in Yorkshire, but seems not to mind fair weather in Tenerife. She's missing out all the fun rounds.. 40 putts, though !! I bet you average close to 30, generally. Those greens moved plenty. You're a really fine golfer; I hope she appreciates that 🙂. You're nearly unique, in that you don't hit hybrids, but stick with the irons - 4 &2. I admire that - I'm scared to hit 5i. There's also no 7 wood. Are you a traditionalist (doubt it), or just like/trust the irons more? I love the idea of 6 each of 3/4/5 holes - it has a pleasing balance; at my place we have 10x4, 4x5+4x3. I'd like a couple more par 3s, with par 5s balancing them.

I'll bare it in mind on future videos 👍 I'd say definitely 5 putts less usually, those greens definitely beat mee up a bit I've just never really got on with the woods/hybrids I've had (although I haven't experimented that thoroughly with them). I have had a few people tell me to look at a 7 wood now but yeah the irons just feel more comfortable to me (not everyday mind 😅 but that's golf) This is the second Seve course I've played and i totally agree. 6 of each feels a bit more interesting

Watched the putts you left short back and I think you're hitting them out of the toe a bit, could be wrong but might be worth filming yourself in slow mo to check if your middling them

Good video of a fantastic course. Other than the 3 putts, a pretty decent round. There's often a strong wind blowing at Buenavista Golf which can make club selection and finding fairways a whole lot harder! Looking forward to seeing which other courses you played while here.

@@UpDownGolf Amarilla is my home course, how was it for you? We have 7 courses each one very different from the next. I'd suggest Costa Adeje, Abama (expensive and a real test) Real Club (2nd oldest in Spain) and, if you fancy a day trip to the island of La Gomera, Tecina Golf is amazing. Let me know when you're coming over again and I'll give you all the advice you need for a great golf trip.

A very good round for your first time. The greens can be very tricky. Putts always go towards the sea. Normally it is quite windy, which makes it even trickier. Adeje and Abama are also very challenging course on Tenerife. In Gran Canaria Salobre is very good, while AnfiTauro is ranked in the top 40 is Spain!

Nice vid mate. I live and play regularly in south Tenerife, 17hcp…. Went Buenavista with a mate of mine who’s a member there a few weeks ago and it beat the sh!t out of me, 😂beautiful course but the greens were tough and it was super windy.

Great video as always. Your back 9 seemed like it was more of a struggle bc your swing got fast again and since you play a fade, fast swing always equals a push right. Slow down, feel more like you are swinging out to the second baseman

Lesson # 2...On the green..get down behind the ball and pick out a spot 1 foot ahead of your ball. Get up and do not take your eye off that spot. Line up your putt and fire away!

Not a criticism as you’re a far better golfer than me, however you lose your posture very early in your driver down swing and your rotation is very upright

Agree, noticed that too, your driver swing is off balance on the follow through which could be leading to some dispersion issues off the tee. Fun round though! Looks like a tough course.

Yeah I almost always finish on my back foot when I hit my driver. I can practice swing and get my weight forward but really struggle on actual shots. Appreciate the feedback!
