Thank you for watching, I started my ff15 journey this year in 2022 after trying to get into it once before last year and leaving it, I really was not expecting to like it as much as I did and I think after this I need to invest in better make up because this game just melted it off from crying so much (nothing new there with me crying all the time but still)

Originally, choosing for Ardyn to defy his fate would have led to the DLCs for Aranea, Luna and Noctis. Unfortunately, those DLCs were cancelled and turned into a book.

I love how in Ardyn's DLC, his revenge goes to the lengths of, "My brother's not dead enough. Come back to life Somnus, just so I can kill you again!" It's like hanging-up on someone, then calling them just so you can hang-up on them again, because it wasn't enough. I can respect that.

Ignis’s DLC is goddamn untouchable, it’s so good. I actually got to meet the director for Episode Ignis at PAX East after it came out while cosplaying Iggy. We got to meet him and he greeted me and my friend (cosplaying Noctis) by name 😭

@@DJAB87 Honestly, I was hoping that if you chose to resist fate, you'd get a secret final boss against Bahamut... I'm sure that would've been the ending to the DLC had they continued making them and it would've been so satisfying to show the finger to the gods and their prophecy.

For me, episode Ardyn is by far the best DLC episodes. Knowing Ardyn backstory and his origin is S+ tier in my book 💯👌🏼

The music for Episode Ignis was done by Yasunori Mitsuda, so if that was your jam then Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Xenosaga 1 and 2, and the ending theme of Xenoblade 1 would by right up your alley

well they got the novel.... which was cancelled dawn of the future....where ardyn noctis and luna fought and with bahamut to change the fate....and instead of noctis performing the ritual...ardyn performed the sacrificial ritual...noctis asked the providence to give the ring to ardyn which they agree and ardyn defeated the his arch enemy bahamut changed his fate and made the world free of all archeon...in the afterlife aera and ardyn united just like luci and noctis....after that they buried ardyn's body in the royal cemetary and decalred him the true founding kign which he always was

What an awesome watch! The 'which FF character needs a hug' part and the fright montage was so funny! Also, episode Ardyn's back story definately solidifies him as one of the best atagonists in a FF series. A misunderstood saviour who was burdened with the starscourge and fate's destiny. Great video. If you have the time, you can also try reading the Dawn of the Future novel which follows the "Resist your fate" choice. The stories in there is the second set of DLC's for the game that were cancelled.

@@shikitohno47 The whole Blood and Darkness thing was a bit odd at first, but it's not like him choosing to flip the bird at Bahamut and everyone else wasn't unwarranted and seeing how Somnus acted, I fully support Ardyn kicking him to the curb a bunch Can't say anything about the actual pacing of the DLC episode, but calling people edgy for sympathizing/supporting and liking Ardyn is a bit silly to me

100%-ing this game was a royal pain, especially because of the DLC. They add depth to the characters which is nice (especially ignis) but man were they a pain to get the achievements for. Gladio's episode in particular took me more than a dozen attempts.

That's not exactly accurate, Ardyn's fate was already set before Somnus "betrayed" him. Ardyn was never meant to be king because he couldn't have fulfilled his destiny if he had been.

in case you don’t know, bahamut is the true villain of Final Fantasy 15. and noctis, luna, aranaya, and ardyn team up against bahamut, and kill him. it’s in the book “Final Fantasy 15: Dawn of the Future” and it is PERFECTION

Amazing work and video. I commented on the last video but damn they just keep getting better. Sadly, I never got to finish the Ardyn episode as my Xbox died. This brought me true closure for the series, and it will stay eternal in my thoughts as among my favorite games. It shall only be haunted by Ardyn's monster face being replaced by the tear-stricken Frankie lol (side note and question for others- Did Frankie do the Extra fight option for Episode Gladio on the stream?)

FFXV had many shortcomings, many things weren't realised because they were too ambitious, at times it leaned a bit too heavily into trying to be FFVII, and I'll never forgive Square for giving us XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns but not XV's season 2 DLC... but I'd be damned before I say that I didn't enjoy it. Ardyn is such a good villain. Literally Jesus and the Anti-Christ in one and the same character.
