I Played The Most BOO'D Level In Mario Maker 2... (And It May Surprise You)

This "most Boo"d level" was legit one of the first ones I played in Mario Maker 2 in the early days of the game. It's very simple so I think a lot of casual players like me stumbled upon it, and then just played it, then gave either a heart or a boo. So obviously, before being the most boo'd or loved level in MM2, it's first and foremost the most played of them all.

If you're trying to do a "most boo'ed" kind of video, you should do an algorithm like what Raysfire does and analyze the like to boo ratio or boo to # of plays ratio. Because the more a level is played, the number of boos is automatically gonna be higher, even though the percentage of boos is probably a lot lower on that level than most other levels, that say for example, only have 10 boos but maybe at the same time, has only 10 plays, meaning everyone who played it boo'ed it. So it's theoretically unfair for that level to be on a type of video like this just cause it has way more plays, it's inevitably going to get the highest number of boos even if less than 1% of the people that played that level had boo'ed it.

To your point, I do think this video is fair. I literally did play the most boo'd level in the game (despite it being the most liked as well). I do understand your argument and stance though. I'm not saying the level is DESERVING to be the most boo'd, but it IS the most boo'd regardless. When I went into the most boo'd list, I truly had no idea that it was going to be that level, so it was a surprise to me that I found interesting. I definitely agree but i dont think it makes sense to call it "unfair". You wouldnt say it's unfair to call it the most liked level just because it's the most played and not the highest ratio of likes/#. You might argue there should be another metric like best rated that's some sort of ratio but it's definitelly accurate to call this one the most boo'd. Definitely would be interesting to get some sort of algorithm that both cares about the like/boo ratio, but also it's not just levels with 3 boos and 4 people played them but actual levels with 100s or 1000s of boos

I've played a level similar to "DGR will love this level." Except it took 8 WHOLE MINUTES to push the car to the end, leaving you with roughly 20 seconds to run all the way back to the start to enter another pipe. When you exit you have to walljump quickly and there are cheep cheeps falling above the screen to land on you if you weren't quick enough. Luckily I escaped the troll to beat it 1st try. Talk about bean burrito that one was a yard long

The Duck Tales Moon theme during the later time lapse awakened memories I had forgotten about of listening to Smooth McGroove on an iPod Touch while on a trip out of the country ages ago. I completely forgot what the song was even called and had to go on a quick journey to find it, but I'm so glad I did. It was absolutely worth it.

I'm surprised that out of that guys multiple levels (14:00), the "hold Y" level was the most boo'ed. He has other ones that I believe are worse, including many levels with passcodes in them, and even a level he calls "Ultimate pick a pipe", or something along those lines at least. You can already imagine how bad it is from that title.

@@Egryn Did you not see the 20 second time limit of the level and the record being 32 ms short of reaching it which is just shorter than 2 frames at the 60 FPS the game runs at (2 frames = 33.333 ms)? Did you also not see DGR holding right the entire time from the start? This means there's basically just 2 frames of leeway with the clear time, considering anyone who clears it will hold right the entire time from the start it's for all intents the only time anyone would get. If you actually look up videos of the level on YT every single one that shows the clear time has this exact same time.

The time itself doesn’t matter, the final time does. That is literally the flicker of a button press. Had he not held right the entire time, the times wouldn’t have matched. It’s also the frame on which he jumped. Two frames sooner or later on any jump would have changed the time.

Something I've noticed while watching several super mario maker youtubers is that a Super Mario Bros 3 style level rarely disapoint me. It may be a masterpiece, great, good or just average, but almost never really bad, or even somewhat bad. So yeah, that last level had all the ingredients to be a really good level, being a super mario bros 3, with a strong theme, fair challenges, progresive power ups, and well placed check points, and it delivered.

It's not incorrect at all, while the actual name of the form is Raccoon Mario it is actually based off a raccoon dog which is known as a tanuki and thus calling it a Tanuki Tail is still accurate and completely fair game. You'd have a good point if he was calling it Tanooki Suit or Mario as that's a different form with a full suit and added statue transformation power but he didn't, he simply called it a Tanuki Tail which both forms add.

Do you not know it is based off a raccoon dog which is known as a tanuki? While there is a difference between Raccoon Mario and Tanooki Suit/Mario, that being the suit gives a full suit with an added power of turning into a statue rather than just adding the tail and ears, both are still based off tanukis and thusly referring to this as a tanuki tail is still accurate and completely fair game.
