I bought this game digitally on Day 1 for my PS4 (I don't own a PS5, don't judge) and I managed to finish this game in under 2 hours. I also got all the trophies (with one of them giving me a hard time due to my lack of observation) and all I can say is...this game was not worth the $40. Not only that, this was short as hell and I hate how your character is just an empty canvas throughout the game. You can't even name your custom ghoul! At least in New Ghoul in School, you can give your character a name. To anyone looking to play this game, wait for a deeeeeeeeep price cut. Or better yet, just play Monster High: New Ghoul in School.

With outright games I always wait until the game is on sale (in my case on steam) for €15, no matter how excited I am to check something out. That's the price point I got my little pony: a maritime bay adventure at, and it feels like way less of a ripoff, even if there are longer and better games that cost €15 or less :>

Because it is for kids, that is why they wont do great graphics most kids wont care, we didn't care bad then we just wanted to play the game

So cool to find another kiwi in the fandom, especially playing this game! it is my first monster high game, and funny enough, I also started as a sea-monster adjacent oc. Well, my oc Tāne Whai is a taniwha but, that wasn't an option. It is definitely overpriced, i agree and quite laggy but it is fun

TBH the graphics look PS2 era which doesn't make sense for a game that's supposed to be a PS5 game unless it was being sold for $25 (Especially when it's a very simple game design/mechanics going on). If the style was meant to be done that way on purpose for nostalgia, it'd be one thing, but I doubt it was meant to be done on purpose for that reason. Also with such a huge school environment, it's very weird seeing how empty it is considering it's meant to be a school and yet there's only like, one or two npcs walking around in the background. The little details here and there are a nice touch, though strange decision for them to limit color options. I think I'd probably would have fun playing this game back when I was a preteen in the way that I had fun playing Barbie's Horse Rescue on the PS2.

I used to play Ghoul Spirit on the DS. I went back and replayed it recently and to be honest it’s pretty abysmal. I would recommend checking out the first little bit of gameplay though, the self-insert character creator has some really bizarre and hideous options to choose from so it was at least fun in that regard lol

you have to try new ghoul in school , i always played it and the customisation is actually kinda good , you can get more clothing options by playing the game and its really fun in general , the puzzles are fun and challenging and not to mention secrets

I've enjoyed it for what it is! G3 is what got me into Monster High in the first place and sure, it's not the best thing in the world but if I've got some time to kill and want something cozy then I just pop it in to play around with for a bit.

Haven't finished the video (abiut 3 minutes in ), but im enjoying it so far. I like what I've played of Outright games stuff. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles gamw they just put out was okay, and a few years ago they put out a Justice Leage game that I really liked despite its jank. The characters were funny and well written (Im really into superheroes haha) so rhey do have a pretty good track record of trying. Like I've never really seen much of Monster High other than commercials, but they did a good job nailing the series style from a glance anways. I guess i just appreciate the people making the games probably have the budget of a tomato sandwich and they still put out half decent- if overpriced- stuff.
