Ya know what pissed me off the most about this game? The story was SO good, and had laid breadcrumbs for a sequel. Arkwright is mentioned multiple times, something bigger, in the background... For god's sake you even drive Kobashi in a runner mission. The Underground soldier wasn't scared of the house, he was scared of Arkwright. So much potential, so much promise, so much planning and foreshadowing. But people hated the game because of an upgrade system that matched the narrative, so they axed it. We will NEVER get to learn what that last cutscene meant. What Arkwright was. All the loose ends will never be tied up. As a writer myself... nothing hurts my soul more than an unfinished story. i loved your series here man. Found your channel from it. Can't wait to see what you do next.

Honestly looking at how much I enjoyed Payback, I'd love to play Payback 2 if it ever releases, and as you mentioned, they laid solid foundations for a sequel. Just the upgrade system was kinda stupid, but ngl the bonuses for 3 or 6 cards of one brand was nice, had me strategising if I should go for an upgrade but lose the brand bonus, or keep the bonus. I'd be SO cool if somehow we gathered enough people to convince EA and Criterion to make a sequel. Something along the lines of Payback in terms of gameplay and especially cinematics, just with a better upgrade system. Keeping the story unfinished (in basically anything) is just wrong if there's no sequel planned.

What a fun playthrough. Remember when I first played Payback last year, ended up finding my signature car for the series which I used halfly through Payback and entirely through Heat, the Lotus Exige. Can't wait to see 2015 next. By the way a tip for you next time, never use nitro when drifting. Instead use it when you have a straight in front of you where you can gain a good amount of speed for a good amount of time, but don't use your entire nitro at once. It's mostly useful for accelerating after sharp turns.

Also I've seen you already played Heat a bit. I hated it. The story is stupid, cops are driving like cheaters and when they screw up they blame others (they also stalk you in races sometimes), drifting and offroad is almost non-existent. I liked the map tho, only wish they did more offroad races there. But there's nothing worse in the game than the other players. Me and my Exige drove thousands of miles to get our crew to Lvl 50 and at the end we pulled it off, a great achivement to be proud off. But a lot of the others players you see are way too lazy. They will do everything to get inside a Lvl 50 crew to immediatly get the achivement and the FXX K unlocked. What's their point of joining a Lvl 50 crew when they all would reach that achivement immediatly just by playing the game itself? I bet those losers even skip all the cutscenes in the game. Anyway I got all achivements in one month, collected all collectibles by myself and it was the most fun thing I did in the game (next to driving races without having any cops behind me). This wall is getting bigger and bigger so I better stop now. When you play Heat again, will you start from scratch or continue where you stopped?

NFS 2015 is epic. I know people say the acting is cringe and all but I like it because of how down to Earth the characters act. Kinda like me and my friends whenever we're all just out with our motorcycles chilling.

I actually liked the acting. Althought Payback is my most favorite game, the cutscenes in 2015 are by far my most favorite ones.

yeah, for me it's kinda sad, and it's probably because of the gameplay, which ngl is quite good, and especially the story, that's just amazing. honestly i think that because of Heat and Unbound people are coming back to the older games to re-live what the series was like these 20 yrs ago, and i guess some people just get the idea to play through all the games from like UG or MW 2005 all the way up to Unbound and it isn't just Payback, it seems like Rivals is also affected by this

Because they were blinded by Nostalgia. I know the game is flawed. Yeah no free roam cops(aside from Bait Crates). Multiplayer Free Roam wasn't there at launch. But the Speed lists in this game were hella fun(almost like that from Most Wanted 2012). The story was good imo(cringe lines here and there). Drifting, Driving and Off-roading felt great. The upgrading was a bit of a pain but it fit the Vegas narrative if you think about it. Cause gambling

Tbh,I'm enjoying Payback more than Heat,the handling,the soundtrack,the characters,also,I can actually enjoy driving at night,which is impossible in Heat with those aggressive cops .

This is my favourite need for speed episode, awesome story and the drifting mechanics are amazing. Also youre not PLAYER. You can play with 3 characters . Best racing game ive ever played ❤
