Recently I've traveled to Ljubljana to visit the most modern mosque in Europe that was opened in 2020 after 50 years of struggle. Ljubljana is a beautiful European city, and the most northern Balkan country in the region. I also stopped by the Lake Bled - the most beautiful lake in the world.
Leave me a comment below with your thoughts about this video. I try to respond to all of them.

Just last night, one of my friend and myself were planning to make a trip from Germany to Slovenia to see this Mosque. It took 50 years to get this Mosque built, though actual work on the project started recently and currently is the largest Mosque in entire Europe.

In fact, Bosniak soldiers (serving Austro-Hungary) built first mosque in Slovenia during WW1 in 1916. It was located on Slovenian Alps which makes it probably the highest mosque in Europe aswell. It is called "Džamija v Logu pod Mangartom". Edit: Mosque was destroyed after WW1, 102 Bosniak laid there fighting for Austro Hungary, their muslim gravestones were replaced by cross and retrieved in 2007 after petition from Bosnia. We have now only left photographies.

A Ottoman-like Mosque could be a problem, since Slovenia was part of Austrian Empire. As you may know, it was the Habsburg Empire that stopped the Ottomans invasions in 1683 (with a big help from Poland).

Jan, no wonder you like Slovenia. Many names of the towns in Slovakia are the same as in Slovenia. And many more are similar. My first barber in Canada was Slovak. He gave me the Slovak bible. I understood nearly every word. There is no question that before the arrival of Hungarians, Slovakia and Slovenia were one country. If you want to insult a Slovenian just tell him that he is German or Italian. Slovenians are proud Slavs and have great singing choirs just like the Slavic Kozaks of Dombas. When I travelled in the countryside of Slovakia`my first thought was: This is greater Slovenia.

Hey Paul. Slovakia and Slovenia we never one country even before the arrival of Hungarians. We had our own small kingdoms and stuff but maybe like 2-3 thousand years ago, all of the Slavs were speaking the same language and lived together somewhere between today's Slovakia and Russia. But really we have nothing in our history that ties us with Slovenia, however, yes there's much in common that we have and I think it's a great country :)

Slovenia doesn't have such a small Muslim population as many imigrants are from Bosnia, Albania, Macedonia some from Turkey so overall even without any imigrants from the middle east, Slovenia has quite a few Muslims, hence why there are many videos of how many Muslims gather when they have their fasting month, or just during the weekends there are alot of Muslims who come to Ljubljana to pray. The biggest problem facing Muslims in Slovenia is the extreme radical ideas that some Muslims are spreading and that will just remind Slovenes of the history that Slovenes have with Muslims and that is 600 years of Ottoman invasions and war, that left a big mark in Slovenia and that is what we have to avoid triggering if we want Muslims to survive and thrive in Slovenia, but if Muslims start making their own towns, cities and demanding the country to be more religion based in law, then there will be bloodshed because Muslims should adopt to the Slovene culture not Slovenes adopting to Muslim culture. I hope things work out and that there will be peace amog Gods children.

@@jantheslovakmuslim that's why people will reject them as Muslims themselfs distance themselfs from others that will only bring devision and violance. Look at England, Sweden etc... where Muslims want their own districts to live in and they want to use Shiria law above the actual law of the country they are living in, that is beyond disrespectful and if you think Muslims should live like Muslims then you are part of the problem. Muslims should live like the people in the country they are living in and put their religion aside, and live by the law that the country provides, and not sabotage the country because you want to make it into a religious Muslim country and force everyone to be like you.

@@jantheslovakmuslim You are welcome to coexist. But if you think you may overpower, you have already lost. With a mindset, that only the afterlife matters, you cannot preserve ‘nice things’ , the kind of infrastructure that you praise in your video. Christianity has seen similar ancient viewpoints, and gone through stagnation and recline 500 years long during the middle ages. But then, the renaissance started, and christianity went through a lot of reforms. I know, that there were several attempts to reform Islam, but US-influence tends to keep it as radical as it can be to deny any possibility of coexistence. Yet, it is up to you to develop your religion into one, that can coexist with another, without potential bloodshed and destruction.

That's a figurative speech. What I meant to say is that everyone is gonna die so you better start thinking about what happens after death. People are too caught up with this temporary life and nobody thinks about death even though everyone knows that at some point they'll die. And as a Muslim, I believe our real-life starts after we die. But yeah basically dying successfully is my goal. But I get that you might not share this perspective which is cool.
