Rice is overrated especially with his price tag. When he comes up against good midfielders he goes missing, for example the euros final he was bullied in the middle of the park, bullied by bayerns midfield in the CL, went missing against villa at the emirates etc. Don’t get me wrong I’m in no way saying he’s bad player cos he’s good but the way he’s talked about is if he’s the English Xavi. He's covered the most distance in the first 3 games of all Liverpool players, he's got a couple of assists already. He tailed off the end of last season due to being overworked and carrying an injury. Also he was £60m not £70m so idk why we're exaggerating his price. He's been brilliant at the start of both seasons now

He was a set £60m not £70m. And also he was dropped because he was run into the ground and was carrying an injury and never regained his form

@@bluecow29 first of all many Liverpool fans (who I was talking to) did compare him to Odegaard and fernandes, second given Gerard’s number does mean a lot - if a striker joins Arsenal and is given the 14 it means a lot and tf you mean run into the ground? He played 43 club games last season - rice played 51 and stayed consistent, fernandes played 42 and stayed consistent, Rodri played 45 and stayed consistent, Odegaard also played 45 and stayed consistent. How can you look at a 60 million pound signing who’s wearing a legends number and justify him being bad by saying he was ran into the ground even though he played as much (or less) as players who are supposed to be on his level who were far more consistent then him.
