Absolutely love these types of videos from you Thomas . They almost seem quite personal . Like a wee day out with you . Brilliant Camera work too!! Loads of cut shots and perfectly matched scenes . Well done . I know it takes a lot of time to do this type of thing (unless you had a camera operator) so just want to say that we all really appreciate it . Thanks . oh . great images as usual .

Lake District Rain. It doesn't fall from clouds, it just teleports in and jumps you before you're ready. Haha! Lovely shots, Thomas. I do love the area (apart from the midges) and would love to visit again some day.

I really enjoy these simple videos, using simple in the best way possible. Just a guy out in nature with his camera talking about photography and being honest. The videos that have perfect production and tons of b-roll have their place but I much prefer videos like this one. Also, don't apologize for "being all over the place". I really think it helps the rest of us relate, not everything goes according to plan and nobody is perfect at what they do. Thanks again!!!

Love the squelching sound effects. Also very encouraging to see professionals make the same mistakes us mere mortals, eg hand in shot (not deliberately) and losing lens caps 🤣😂. Would dearly love to come on the trip but just can’t afford it - two trips already next year 😢. Great to understand your thought processes and see them put into action. 👍👍

Love the casual pace and just going out to see what you can find. I often suffer from the thinking you described and it prevents me from getting out there. Lovely images. The Antarctic Polar cruise sound absolutely fabulous! Unfortunately I can't commit to that as I have spent $++ to go to Lofoten in Feb from Australia which costs nearly as much to get there as the tour cost. I'm sure the cruise will be a raging success! Hoping another opportunity will occur in a couple of years. Cheers the Great South Land.

Just want you to know, I really enjoy those quiet moments in nature you give us sometimes. It creates a viewing experience I can only compare to big budget nature documentaries, only with a much more personal, honest touch. It's incredibly inspiring, and I thank you for essentially doing several "takes" of reality just to give them to us.

I was in the area of Castle Crag twice this summer (one was going up it). Both times I was glad I'd just re-waterproofed my boots and had waterproof socks on! 90% of my outings with my camera involve unplanned areas. It can be fun but frustrating just trying to spot something that'll work.

Good morning Thomas Im recently new to your channel I found you when I was searching for a macro video believe it or not. I love your relaxed but some times chaotic approach, I hope to adapt your single image approach im the typical amature photographer that goes out and has to see a photograph every where and has to take a 100 shots to leave 99 on the harddrive never to be seen again but what im learning from you is if you come away with 1 good shot then the trip has being worth it. I wish you and yours the best of luck for the rest of the year and a great year for 2021. Regards Pat.

An excellent example of real life photography in every way, Kudos. And yes, it all made perfects sense. You had great suggestions and exhibited how to make the best of weather, time of day, subject matter, etc. Most of us take what we get when we can. I recall one guy at a state park "Not going to shoot it, the light is bad" well, also not ever coming back again SO -do what you can while you can, it's not coming again.

I just love your vlogs. I'm not a pro like you, but I find I get my best compositions when I walk about with an empty mind (don't say it), and if something catches my eye I always look again and look for a shot. It's normally a difference in light or colour that gets the eye, but there's always a reason why something catches your eye in the first place. Looking for a particular shot is not easy and can be quite frustrating, but unless I have planned a shot I try to keep a clear head, and it works consistently.
