If Dante Bowe, someone who people look to as a Christ-centered example, can be questioned for “supporting” something anti-Christian, one could ask the same about his shirt. But like I said I’m not worried about it, it doesn’t affect my life any type of way.

@@tashvelez7286 to be fair, we don’t know if it’s real, also even if it is, any t-shirt from a high end brand is always the cheapest item in their collection, also … we can have expensive things, people spend hundreds and thousands of dollars on basic items like couches, cars, a new toilet, a grill, computers, etc. How we spend our money matters, of course, but if we’re strictly criticizing or critiquing people based on money value items, we’re all in the same boat. The excuse that everyone listens to secular music ain't gonna cut it. It's not that these artist are secular (Nas x, bad bunny) it's what they represent. As a Christian, if your not offended by their content and what they stand for, something might be wrong. It ain't about whether or not you can get a demon from it. It's about letting in filth into your heart. If a Christian artist doesn't see anything wrong with it, then he shouldn't be ministering through music. It doesn't matter how " impressive you think Nas x or bad bunny are as "artist" we shouldn't support or be interested in the slightest. The devil is crafty and flashy, let's not be fooled.

This is gaslighting 101 - Maverick City and Dante Bowe had a public position of worshipping the Lord of Heaven and Earth. That same YHWH has revealed Himself through His word. Don't be naïve, most of the CCM community treats music as a business, any of these "worship pastors" are in it for the money, it's entertainment, but they forget that the purpose of worship is not that, and Christians who listen to MC are looking to be closer to God, to express joy or to be able to process pain with hope, that said, it seems to me that this interview is only to clear the name of Maverick City (at least this clip), it saddens me to see how they (and many others) use the name of Christ for profit.

It was a very clear and public statement from the "satan shoes" to the music video with the devil and everything in between. If you are truly in the faith, some things will just bother your spirit and that definitely should be one of them.

I’m 10mins in and this feels like a waste of time. A convo to justify this behavior and make it ok. We need to be set apart. I GET we ALL fall short but sheesh.

Sometimes your phone glitches, man. Let’s be real. developers make it too convenient to upload things on Instagram sometimes, and they don’t give you a pause button. That’s the problem.

It feels a little disingenuous and (maybe even gaslighting) to say that they are facing opposition because they were "lifting up the name of Jesus, day in and day out." It completely ignores the criticism of the bad theology, questionable choices (in this case, by a former member, sure) and questionable associations made by the band. Paul did not say that being held to a biblical standard by the Bereans was "opposition." And in the case of Paul "opposing Peter to his face," that was warranted opposition.

Man the real question is what happened to the app? I can’t find Davy Flower’s 10,000 Reasons anywhere! Release the app music!

That explanation seems suspect.

Ruslan, I’m glad u sat and talked to maverick city cuz u was posting stuff about them, without knowing the full context behind it. I watch the full video at this point just let them b bcuz no matter wat u say their still gonna have a huge fan base, their glorifying God to the best of their ability. They even owned up to it and said they made mistakes in how they handled situations. I think ur looking for something to talk about, but maverick ain’t it and please know their gonna keep being successful no matter how u come at them.
