I wanna call out how the girl in this story made unfair judgements on someone she didn’t even want to talk to, then got to know him without knowing it was him, but she got mad at him for what exactly? She’s the one being unfair to someone she wouldn’t even make the effort to talk to.

I'm still giving her the benefit of the doubt. He could've come off as trying too hard to get everyone's attention. For example, maybe someone says something and he always agrees. He might never make up his mind and just agree to the opinions around him. That can make someone seem fake. Since he's popular and cheerful she seems like a bigger jerk for rejecting his invitation to hang out. He just probably can't read people and kept trying. Heck the only reason she went up to his real self is because she got used to seeing him. She got an image in her head that he might be introverted like her. She went over to test that theory.

Someone who is two faced like that (2 different personalities) you dont know if you CAN trust them or not, and as far as she knows, he lied about his real identity, since he wasnt being honest on who he was from the getco. Ive been friends with plenty of people like him, popular, but had an introverted side, and they were "faking" the popular them, only to find out they were leaking my secrets behind my back. I REFUSE to trust someone who has 2 opposite sides like that for public, and what i see privately, because those people lost my trust, since you never can be sure what the truth is, since half their identity is fake.

As far as judgments go, everyone makes judgements based on looks without realizing it, such as someone with ripped clothes and dirty, people see that as homeless, when in reality they could have an abusive home instead. If you see a tux, you might think a rich guy, when its a guy sky high in debt. You make subconscious judgements daily and dont really notice, nor consider them, but they are. For instance, im different then most, since id trust a man who has full body tattoos to operate on me, while 90% of the populace would fear him due to the fact that its common for prisoners and gang members to have tattoos all over their body.

Happened to catch this one early. Nice, unique story. I enjoyed how the MC accepted his true, nerdy self in the end. Improving your image is admirable, but openly enjoying what you like regardless of if it's "cool" takes real confidence.

When I was in middle school I had a friend that changed too. She wanted to seem cooler. Me and her started middle school in big baggy hoodies, but she switched to shirts that exposed her stomach and flashy colors. We slowly stopped hanging out, but I could tell she was always uncomfortable in her new group. Her confidence just wasn't there. I have no clue what happened to her. All I know is I saw her around 9th grade back to being in hoodies. She was alone, but she looked like she was enjoying herself as she read her book. Clothes and appearances should make you comfortable. If you try to be someone you're not, and look like someone you're not, you won't fully enjoy your time. You'll be too caught up with appearances. Some people like to be quiet and dress loud, some like to be dark and dress cheerful, etc. What's important is that you stay true to yourself and don't forget your core beliefs. tldr: The lesson is that you should wear/ act in ways that are comfortable to you.

I found her very ignorant and emotionally stupid at him about his problems of fitting in with people that might view him as the odd one for being a nerd and the reason why he pretends to be a “cool guy” around superficial jerks is because they don’t found nerds normal nor popular. She was not fair at all to him of pretending to be a nerd while he is not around with the “cool people” in his class and she acting stupidity foolish to him about it. To me, I found it childish of her to make the guy the bad guy of his own problems of fitting in and the girls just being emotionally and unfairly stupid for no reason and that’s not good too. And I do blame the superficial students that he hangs out with that cause him to force himself to change to his fake persona that being the “cool guy” against his own will of being his true self albeit a nerd. This alone could make him a victim himself. It’s not his fault that he had to force himself to pretend to be someone he is not that being the “cool guy” of the group of other high schoolers that found the nerds that play video games or any kind of stuff that nerds do that they found interesting and fun to them and I bet that their are certain numbers of popular people that are interested in intellectual stuff and videos games as well. That girl is not that great at all in his situation and she should make it up to him of the way she disrespectfully treated him so unfairly of the problems he has to go through. I forgot her name and the main male protagonist name but the female nerd that he wants to be with should know better than to act and treat him the way she do to him in the story. She was such an emotional and misunderstanding jerk and again it’s not his fault at all he did nothing wrong😒
