LYRICS:
On our knees we pray
As we waste away
And we dig our grave
Dead on arrival
I close my eyes and contemplate on why I choose to be great
I find myself tryin to escape from where I’m supposed to be safe
Or maybe I should pray like I’m supposed to be saved
Sometimes I feel like getting even but I choose to behave
I’m mentally locked in a prison and I need bail
But the internet will kill me quicker than the streets will
And if that shit doesn’t kill me than the police will
Or maybe all the refills on the E pills or the lean will
I wish I was more flourished, I wish I had more courage
I feel like there’s more purpose, or maybe it’s all worth it
I wanna keep on learning, but I couldn’t be more nervous
when I keep lookin for answers and I gotta keep on searchin
The tables keep on turnin
Tryin to call up to Jesus but the phone keep on ringin
I think I need more service, the calls seem more urgent
And all I see is more murders, the soldiers keep on servin
I wonder if it’s all worth it, I wonder
On our knees we pray
As we waste away
And we dig our grave
Dead on arrival
In this mess we made
Fill our lungs with hate
Just to numb the pain
Dead on arrival, Dead on arrival, Dead on arrival
I can't breathe
Got my head on the guillotine
Slipknot around my neck come and take a seat
Watch ‘em bury me down til I'm six feet deep in the underground
Dead is the land of the free
Don't give just take every time you need
Don't give just take though it's killin me
Don't give just take every time you need
Don't give just take
On our knees we pray
As we waste away
And we dig our grave
Dead on arrival
In this mess we made
Fill our lungs with hate
Just to numb the pain
Dead on arrival, Dead on arrival, Dead on arrival
I can't breathe
Am I not worth saving?
Am I not worth saving?
On our knees we pray
As we waste away
And we dig our grave
Dead on arrival
In this mess we made
Fill our lungs with hate
Just to numb the pain
Dead on arrival
Yea
Dead on arrival, Dead on arrival
(Dead) (Dead) (Dead) (Dead)

The sad part is that this song will never get the attention it deserves because mainstream media will bury this under pop and hip hop trash, dispite one of raps biggest stars being on this track. We all need to share this around. And dont let this song get buried.

This video was released a couple days ago, but the original song with I Prevail only, has been out for over a year now and it’s crazy how the “I can’t breathe” line fits so well with the current events. @@Cowsablanca It's ironic going overseas to fight when Amerika's biggest enemies have always been domestic Without the Confederates there would be no Nazis. Both groups descendants of the Medieval Christian Crusaders which killed Millions 9/11 is just a penny in a giant bucket of bloodshed. Mass shootings in the US have killed more. I suffer from mental illness. I struggle with severe anxiety and horrible panic attacks. It has been next to impossible to get any real help. I've been treated like a piece of garbage by the very people who are supposed to help me get better. Health care professionals can't claim ignorance, there's no excuse. Then on top of all that the medication they want me to take is over $700 for a months supply. It's all honestly mind-blowing. I relate so much to all the lyrics in I Prevail's music. I've never been asked why I Prevail is my favorite band, but to save anyone the burden of doing so: I Prevail is my favorite band, of all time to come, because I connect with them. Their music has been a light in my times of darkness, they've been a fuel to my furnace, when I needed to let out anger properly. How do I feel connected? The themes I hear in their music, about certain mental issues, aggression from love in their song "Love Lust and Liars". These guys truly understand what half the world feels. And although humanity itself will never coexist to fix that, I Prevail does their best to not only help, but to entertain and speak out for others, through their music. No other band in this God created universe will ever connect into my heart and soul, better than I Prevail has. To see how far they've come, is no different than seeing family grow up. These young talented men are beyond deserving of the top charts. I'll see you men in Cincinnati in November.

@@kazern95 I've heard most of his stuff. In my opinion, he really didn't start going mainstream until about 4 years ago when he released the mask off remix. 4 years may seem like a lot to some but to me, it's really not that long in the grand scheme of things. In those 4 years, he has managed to do more than a lot of other rappers. In 2017 he started remixing "mumble rappers" songs with one of the best flows in the industry. That same year he managed to make the song I'm not racist which made most people who watched it speechless. In 2018 he got a song with Eminem one of the greatest rappers of all time. In 2019 he got a song with Logic. In 2020 he managed to drop one of the best projects in years. He even made a song about his idol Will Smith and then Will hopped on the song. His career might be young but he has done so much with it.

1:04 "All I see is more murders, while the soldiers keep on serving.. and I wonder, is it all worth it". Deep, very deep. And no one has caught it yet or atleast not spoken on it. Man I'm Aussie, but the soldiers serving, fighting, sacrificing their all, to give us everything we have.. yet we're destroying our own lives, our own freedom and throwing away our own rights with all our senseless acts just spits in the face of every soldier fallen, or still serving. There's a big difference between being free, and being selfish.. and we often blur the lines. "Watch them bury me down, till I'm 6ft deep in the under ground, dead is the land of the free" Most powerful lyrics going around, alive we are never free. Especially while we continue to do what we do.

The more I watch this, the more I'm seeing the subtle things in the video itself. Why is the pregnant lady's reflection colored but she isn't? Did you notice how scared and sad the kid shooting up the school seemed to be? As soon as child services took the baby, the mothers color faded instantly. This is some heavy, harsh and realistic vision of today's society.

I noticed how when the white guy was going to shot down those 3 black men, their colors instantly faded to black and white. I think it's a symbol showing that they are dead

Its almost as if the people you demonize as being “the problem” have their own problems and fears too...its almost as if we arent all as inherently evil as we are made out to be? HMMMMM

Literally I applaud my guy Joyner Lucas like he’s really one of the realist rappers in the world rn and I just love how he speaks the truth in his songs and him teaming up with I prevail is a dream come true because of the messages they also bring in their songs. I respect their collab to make a great masterpiece and it’s meaning was just amazing to hear really because everyone goes through that in life

Make this video trend. It can open the eyes of the people in the US. I'm not even close to being from the US or even living there but All I can say is that all these other countries need to unite and come together to make sure they're safe, or else it could spread more to us all. The fact that I'm 14, loving this type of music genre AND understanding everything in this music video means that this is a serious thing. I wish I could help more. Stay safe guys. How I see this video is that: The persons who aren't filtered grey are the ones who once had hope or something to live for. But we can see that colour or "life" leave them once what they live for is gone. If we don't stop, listen, and act on what is right in front of us. The whole world will be colourless.
