I didnt even know coolant Filtration kits were a thing. Pretty slick
@JLCmike401410 ай бұрын
I did some work on a buddy’s truck a few months back and in exchange for the job i did he bought me the sinister diesel coolant filtration kit for my ‘99 F-350 with the 7.3L and the A/C hoses for when i overhaul the air conditioning system. My compressor front bearing squeaks every now and then so time for replacement in the near future.

Hey man I commented a few vids ago and ask about yer 2wd Silverado and did the maxtrac coil springs bow out when u put them in?
@AaronCates11 ай бұрын
Sorry I missed your comment, yes they had a bow to them. Almost made them touch the shocks.

@@AaronCates thanks man did they did they eventually settle and also did you run the 3.73 gears when you run 35s on it?
@AaronCates11 ай бұрын
@zekesoutdoors no they stayed bowed out but my truck stock had 3.42s. So I ran the 3.42s with 35s and 37s until I got my 4.56s put in.
@zekesoutdoors11 ай бұрын
Alrighty thanks man did it struggle to turn the 35s with the 3.42
@AaronCates11 ай бұрын
@zekesoutdoors no but it definitely made a huge difference going to 4.56s

Per Ford and International coolant needs to be Ford gold either pre-mixed or concentrate. If concentrate mix 50/50 with distilled.

You should put shut off valves due makes it easier to changing filters.

I run straight coolant in my 7.3 50/50 mix is okay, but 100% coolant gives better lubricity for the internals💪😎

a 7.3 has no reason to have a coolant filter, why?
@AaronCates11 ай бұрын
Why does it have no reason to have one? It has an oil cooler with coolant flowing through it just like a 6.0? Also if you watched the video you would know the previous owner ran tap water, causing rust throughout the cooling system that I would like to filter out.
@psd2811 ай бұрын
@@AaronCates whats so special about an oil cooler the passages dont magically clog up if you flush it
@psd2811 ай бұрын
@@AaronCates the 7.3 oil cooler is external 6.0 is internal. 6.0 cant even compare to the 7.3 the 6.0 is so junk
@AaronCates11 ай бұрын
@psd28 watch the video because you clearly didn’t
@psd2811 ай бұрын
@@AaronCates lol i just looked up 6.0 oil cooler to compare it and its completely different not even comparable. i skipped through the video then disliked it

Also use engine flush 3 gallons Thermocure - follow directions. Cleans entire cooling system. Check out Custom Works he know 7.3 better than anyone. Also Diesel Tech Ron (Rip).
@cajcmoney11 ай бұрын
Shut off valve is for u can change filter without flushing

That makes a lot more sense. Glad I kept them, may install them now

It wasn’t that way when I started building it though, it took 2+ years to get traction for it. This build is the same way. Building a new audience.
