As one of the people responsible for giving you... one more subscriber, I can honestly say that I love your work. I actually watched this how to paint Gonad the Barbarian multiple times to help me come up with a paint recipe for my World of Warcraft Durotan that I am currently painting. Thanks man, and as someone that has interacted with you a few times on Facebook you are a legend and I can't wait for your videos to drop.

This was great to see and watch I am always watching for any tip to improve on my painting and even when to glue parts on. Seeing that you also have models that require a little more tinkering to make the parts fit was great to be able to see a master handle the situation. Great video sir.

Excellent print and paint . I always paint from a black base it always make the paint look more realistic . I use a limited pallet too many colors can muddy things up that,s from my art school training . I finally subscribed yaaaaaaay. Happy creating..........

Thanks dude. Yea it’s easy to put too many colours and make a mess

Same here! I've already got the model removed from the supports, just gotta build it. I'm not feeling the sword, I think it's a bit small so I'm planning on building a new blade from plastic card stock.

Truly incredible work. These videos have been a massive help. The paint names your calling out are they all Army painter or are some other brands like Citadel used?
@Groundeffected3 жыл бұрын
Usually I’ll say what brand. For example contrast paints are citadel and I’ll also mention ammo by mig.

Amazing as always! It was my favorite movie when I was a kid. I was thinking on buying the STL, but my Mars Pro won’t be able to handle it LOL

It definitely won’t fit the Mars pro but you could cut it up perhaps 🤔

No I didn’t sculpt the model. Only print and paint.
@Catuleba2 жыл бұрын
Hey man. As usual, awesome video. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is the difference between a wash and a thinned down paint?
@Groundeffected2 жыл бұрын
Different levels of thinning. Thinned paint still has a load of pigment in it and a wash not so much also washes tend to have mediums in them to help distribute the pigment as they are thinner and you also get glazes and tints which are even thinner

Beautiful work, well done :) Your video gave me a lot of ideas of how to paint my 3D model which I finished last week.......I know this video is not a recent one but I'm a bit slow on these KZbin thingies......opening for a "Like your Mom" comment lol :) Anyway, your video is epic and thank you for posting it :)

I'm about to print this same model. Did you print each individual part in the orientation the slicer loads them, or did you move them to a different position?
@Groundeffected2 жыл бұрын
Nah I move them always. Also be careful when fitting his legs I had to cut the keys off and shove it together. It was a tight fit as well as the waist needed lots of work to fit together too. The cuts not perfect.

Hi Dad, quick question - did you print the base fdm, or cut it up for resin? It's bleedin massive!
@TheNinetitle2 жыл бұрын
I printed this figurine at 40 % and the parts don't fit ! Any advice?
@Groundeffected2 жыл бұрын
I had to cut some of the keys and press and pull bits to get them to fit. I cut a load out the hips fro the torso to fit into it and I cut the keys for the legs and sanded away some material it was a nightmare but with some patience you can get it to work.
@TheNinetitle2 жыл бұрын
@@Groundeffected Thanks I thought I had printed at different scales or something. I'll have to do a lot of post-process to make it work, hope I finish in time as it's a gift for a friend. The model is cool but the printability is pretty low, I had to scale it down to 40 % as the base was too big for my Mars 2 pro.
@Groundeffected2 жыл бұрын
@@TheNinetitle yea I had to scale it down too. It was a difficult project.
@TheNinetitle2 жыл бұрын
@@Groundeffected I've cut the keys on the leg and the figure still doesn't fit, what the heck!
@Groundeffected2 жыл бұрын
@@TheNinetitle heat it up and carefully stretch it dude. It does fit but with some carving and stretching.
